This is so helpful!!! I am planning on upgrading my audio/mic setup for my work (9-5) job and being able to do everything on the hardware and not need to download software is great as my work pc is limited in regards to downloading software. having the chat channel and separate adjustment is perfect.. so I can easily use this for my main jobs audio. but also very easily use for my personal uses and podcast/creator content.

I'm a bit confused as to why you'd advise for the speaker monitors to be plugged into headphone sockets. Doing this negates the muting feature that is vital when using monitors. Interested to read the rationale here.
I have a problem! I cannot get any sound to come through to the Atem mini. I've tried every setting possible and watched every tutorial on RUclips, and I'm stumped.

Great video. I cannot hear the sounds from the smart pad. How do I get them to play in my headphones? Also, were your sounds preloaded? My pad is empty. If I go to my sounds, from the Rodecaster screen, it looks there is a list, but I don't know how to access them to add them to the Smart Pad.

Each headphone jack is a stereo output . Surely , if you plug each powered speaker into a headphone jack , you will have a stereo feed to each speaker and therefore no separated stereo signal? 🤔
Great video. Just wonder if you came across the problem with Rodecaster Pro II Secondary which is configured to be used with Zoom. So Zoom speaker and mIc. With that config my MAC hac Rodecaster Pro II Main Stereo and my ecamm live is using Rodecaster Pro II Chat I cannot hear anything from ZOOM. MIC on Zoom is great but my inear monitor is on mute. Changing ZOOM away form Rodecaster Pro II Secondary works fine and the monitor is catching all sound. I have update the firmware today, so I should be on the latest one. Any idea how I can Rodecaster Pro II Secondary let the sound through my monitor. Any Advanced section I do have misconfigured?
If you use the balanced/speaker output is there any way to control it with a fader or knob? I am trying to get away from using the headphone out to other devices like studio monitors or headphone amplifier because then you have a double amplified signal, and the equipment I am sending it to is much better than the built in amp.

The only way I have fixed this for now is by using both Bluetooth and the TRS plug into the headphones output to gain more devices when connected to a PC. But I have heard that Røde is working on in the next months to get us more virtual audio devices on the USB in/outputs when connected to a mac/pc. So this will probebly fix that issue ;)

So would I be able to set up a fader for music and Discord at the same time? I run a dual PC setup but the second PC just takes the mixed audio as one track. I'm looking to replace my GoXLR for something that has more flexibility and features. But I don't want to be super limited with control of software mixing like Discord, music and system audio. I've seen some other videos that make it look like a big drawback but this video makes it seem not that much of a drawback.

I noticed that you are using your SM7B with a cloudlifter and phantom voltage enabled from your RCP2. Do you feel that the RCP2 preamps are not adequate enough for that mic? And do you also feel that the CL doesn't introduce uneccessary line noise? I have the same set up, but I elected not to use my CL. Curious to know your thoughts.
I’ve also noticed with my Shure SE215 in ear monitors a lot of line noise. I’m not using a Shure extension or 1/8 - 1/4 adapter (recently ordered), and I’m hoping I can clean that up with better supporting components. I love the RCP2, but I don’t think I’m getting the best possible sound out of it with my SM7B (likely because I’m still very much a rookie lol)
Sorry? "pro tip put the speakers in a headphone jack"? An even better protip from a pro technician, put your speakers in the speaker output, You can control it with the knob on de desk and when set right, the speakers has a mix minus so no microphone comes through the speaker but the other sounds like music and effect do. Another protip, don't set your fader full open and compensate with the gain, it's more of an hassle when a microphone is too soft in level. The SM7b needs at least 60db of gain. Talking to bluetooth without being in the recording? Hit the pfl button on the bluetooth and your microphone. The button turns yellow and you can hear the bluetooth an talk to it. Sorry dude, those "tips" you gave are not pro tips!

I had to return this device. It was poorly made, and buttons triggered themselves. It was literally useless. They did not offer to replace, only refund. Got my money back and never looked back.

@@TokiAudio they finally sent me a good unit. I went through 3 units before I finally got the right one. First and second until had static, 3rd unit face plate was peeling off and well the 4th unit seems to be holding up SO FAR.

If you plug your speakers in the speaker outputs, you also have a physical knob to control them. It’s the big one under the headphone knobs.
I thought that too. Is there some point about using the headphone jacks that I’m missing here

@@jaludwick you need to change the monitor output settings. Go to "Outputs" in the settings menu, then "Monitor" and uncheck the Auto-Mute option.

Cloudlifter isn’t needed - the internal preamps are great on this thing

@@TokiAudio they finally sent me a good unit. I went through 3 units before I finally got the right one. First and second until had static, 3rd unit face plate was peeling off and well the 4th unit seems to be holding up SO FAR.
