Scott. Meeting you at the seattle show was one of the best moments of my life. Looking forward to showing you my polyphia inspired guitar that I’m building(from scratch)
@@Luismayer77 I absolutely will. It’s going to have polyphia inlays(multiple) which are super complex, a pickguard I got them to sign, and Scott’s signature humbucker. 1 humbucker guitar that will pack a punch
The fact that Scottie can be the best part of song with both Clays and Tim is absolutely insane. Such a testament to his talent and the crazy song writing chemistry that Polyphia has.
That comment didn't age well. Scottie's solo on Ego Death is the best thing about 2022 so far (yes, even with Steve Vai in the house). Try to keep up 😉
Some people just not as excited to see Scott brings back the heavy lead guitar. I’m just so fcking hype every time listening to Scott’s solo. Yesterday I was fuck with that SLM10 lead tone in the Archetype Tim Henson. Y’all better ask Neural DSP for Archetype Scottie Lepage, put pressure on ‘em
@@Luismayer77 I dunno man I just switch to that preset and use as normal, and remeber to always use the fourth pick ups position (neck + middle). I didn’t have any problems with the plugin so sorry if it doesn’t help much.
First of all this solo slaps. Second to anyone talking about the mix of the album version being bad have either never mixed or don't understand that everyone has a different vision for art. I think the album version accentuates the beats of lyrics and sounds flawless.
Yeah, it's all about context. Like, I much prefer the live playthrough mix of Neurotica. But, they wrote it as a "club banger", so it makes sense for the album version to be the way it is. One of the reasons these guys are so good is that it's always song first. They pick their spots to show off, but a lot of their best licks are there to support the song.
Thankyou for playing it slow a second time over, doing this makes your songs more accessible (as accessible as polyphia can be) and helps us push our skill to the next level. doesn't go unnoticed and we really appreciate it
The instrumental will be available on the limited edition cd, they have 4000 of those for sale on their site (it's like 11 usd, i spent 15 more to have it shipped to eu)
Fr, the original is like nails on a chalkboard. Why is some 2 bit pop star drowning out all the guitar by literally reciting the alphabet. Song is pure zoomer bait
@@jamesoneill4049 yeah i kinda agree on that, I'm sad to be that type of fan that says "omg old you was wayyy better" but i don't understand this stylistic choice. We'll see the rest of the album, probably I'll end listening to the instrumental one eheh
Tim plays the creazy riffs that every time blow minds, but then Scott's solos arrives in the songs, and that what was survive from first blow is blown again :D Perfect! Right Man in the right place!
Bro... that slick ass move to hold his pick with his middle finger to transition to tapping... good lord. I started learning to play this... it's gonna be a long year.
The low resonance of Scott’s tone is one of the sickest my ears have ever heard. Like every time he plays there’s like an underlying low chord resonance that’s just so tasty; it’s literally the perfect thing to go with Tim’s sound. Such a sick solo!
Absolutely killed it my guy🤘 I’d love to see the writing process of something like this, because when you slow it down with the backing track, you can really hear how syncopated all the instruments, sounds, and grooves are, it’s insane
Everytime this solo his regular speed or even slowed down it gets me every time. I feel it in your playing. It makes me keep working hard to learn guitar!
Every day I prayed hard to have some Scottie leads like in Champagne, Aviator, Impassion, Amour... There he is combining Muse/Renaissance style solos with TMH/NLND phrases-like. So excited to hear the rest of his work on the upcomming album !
It's kind of funny how Tim gets all the attention. Your writing, riffs and solo's, are leagues better. This is subjective but I've been playing for over a decade and your parts have always stood out to me way more.
☝️ I also agree with you. I started listening to Polyphia when Muse came out, and Scott was the first one to caught my attention. Of course, the rest of the band are god-tier themselves, but Scott is 🔥
"Scottie", the man himself. I freaking love this one, and you never fail with those faces at the end 😂 ps: a couple of months ago, after watching many of your videos and listening to Polyphia frenetically, your solos inspired me to buy my first guitar (which is something I have never had the courage to do, even though I love music so much) and just start playing... just to discover myself. I don't know how to tell you this, but I'll leave this "HUGE THANK YOU" here.
I need more 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 "Tasteful" is absolutely the right word with Scottie's playing! There are so many different tracks that could be taken and still remain in key and in time, but Scott picks that special one that is both technically expert and musically balanced - leading to and exquisite tastefulness that man, wow. Dude. Yeah! 👍
I get excited for the face you make at the end of all of your videos😅 Ive been a massive fan since I saw you guys perform live in Denver back in 2017🙏 and I will continue to support you no matter what!🎶💖
man watching this is insane. Ive tried playing your style of guitar and its just so foreign to me. its like my whole life ive been playing right/left and you guys come along and add the 3rd dimension. so now its up/down right/left. you guys are awesome and love the new style of playing you are doing.
You guys are amazing! I met you guys at a Chicago show, and the bartender cut off drinks at 11pm lol. Such a good night talking to you and Tim. Scott gave me the hoodie off his back!

Same here
Same preset I'm using but I can't get that same Neurotica tone. Any modifications on the preset you can recommed me?
Seriously dude, Scott's preset on archetype tim henson is my absolute go to, I use it more than anything else. That tone is just so fucking 🤌🤌🤌
Why would they do that... it would just be a repeat of the same plugin twice.

Glad we are getting more Scott content. He's a phenomenal player in his own right.
