LYRICS:
Someone call a paramedic
I can’t speak it's all phonetic
Made me forget every word cause like that's a lot of letters
Abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
911 it's me Sophia
Yes this is an emergency
The way they put it down on me
Got the whole room tipsy
Hyperventilating when
We be procreating
Where’d you learn to do that thing
How you hold the bat when you swing
I don’t think I can breathe
I don’t think I can think
I don’t think I can speak
I don’t think I can see
Fuck
Someone call a paramedic
I can’t speak it's all phonetic
Made me forget every word cause like that's a lot of letters
Abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
Cut your pick out and put it my locket
So I could kiss you whenever I wanted
Hyperventilating when

Where’d you learn to do that thing
How you hold the bat when you swing
I don’t think I can breathe
I don’t think I can think
I don’t think I can speak
I don’t think I can see

@@anders8700 it means what it says… what’re u confused about?
@@brendanr4961 It doesn’t make any sense to an educated English speaker. Poor grammar aside, it doesn’t actually mean anything. It’s asking people to feel something about a non-accomplishment that can’t be measured and you couldn’t assume unless you knew the band, because of an opinion that’s subjective anyway.
@@anders8700 first of all, if grammar is important to you in a RUclips comment you’re a loser. Secondly, why are you talking about whether or not what they’re saying is quantifiable when the comment is literally just, “can we appreciate that they don’t take themselves too seriously”

@@TheGenghisjuan +1, Doja Cat has a lot of good songs.
Even though this is a little outside of my music preference I think polyphia can make any genre sound good to me. There's always so much to appreciate in their songs. My wife loves it though
Stop kidding yourself.. This is fucking terrible.
@@inalingthedead lmao it's okay you don't like it, don't get mad other people do.
@@miserirken people are brainwashed these days. They can listen to something knowing that it is absolute toad shit. But to fit in because of that status and infamy of the band, they trick themselves into believing that they actually enjoy it.
@@inalingthedead lmao so mad
@@inalingthedead “you can’t like it cuz I don’t” 🤓
Fuckin bozo
First time I heard this song it gave me weird anxiety, probably because of how manic it is. But man, now I can't get enough of it and would love more of this colab.
They nail the butterflies of a new relationship vibe
i like the guitars the vicals, the drums, but the bass, the bass is something else in this song,it gives it such a nice groove
I wasn't sure what to think of this song at first, but it's really grown on me. Really good song.
I agree. Im still at the I dunno how I feel about it stage lol but I'm sure it'll dig at me and I'll grow to love it lol
Same, but after the third listen it all clicked lol
After Tim's Arianna Grande effort I was hoping they'd do something like this. They don't disappoint as they continually raise the bar. Hats off!
Same!!
They couldn't get Arianna so they made someone up
They have a song with Babymetal called Brand New Day
@@Goetia From all of the Japanese in the song, I'm guessing they might've gotten acquainted with her through Babymetal, or their tour to Japan. Could be just a coincidence too.
First thing i thought! Immediately thought of Tim playing positions, this girl sounds so alike
This song will forever be stuck in my head 🖤
They were just having fun and I LOVE that shit from bands who don't take themselves super seriously and are just doin stuff they love 😍
これは良すぎる、、まさかの日本語めっちゃ盛り込まれてるとは🥺
それな
I love everything in this song, The vocals, The switch from English to Japanese language, and ofcourse Polyphia being polyphia
It's so good that even though she was literally just cycling through the gojuon( Japanese alphabet but it's syllables) and I can't even make a big deal that hey didn't know all the hiragana for the "y" syllables... Sure they could have googled the rest and hey, maybe I'm wrong and they were spelling something else on purpose.
@@ItsMeBarnaby I was a bit sad they didn't do all the syllables. Then again there are what, 103 of them vs 26 in the alphabet. lol
and 2:05 Scotty's fabulous guitar solo! Pop music needs moarrrr killer solos!
Not having all the characters for the やいゆえよ(ya i yu e yo) section is completely fine, seeing only the unique characters やゆよ(ya yu yo) for that line of the 五十音(gojyuuon) need to be displayed to get the point across. *い(i) and え(e) already belong to the first line of vowels, あいうえお(a i u e o), they're just used here to fill in the empty spaces which don't have anything else to fill them in modern Japanese.
That's all fine and well, but I don't think that wasKageOoji's point to begin with. The problem here is that while she sings やいゆえよ(ya i yu e yo), the screen should show やゆよ(ya yu yo), but they put up みゆよ(mi yu yo) instead. They really put み(mi) on the screen, a completely different sound, not even close. Not even in the same line OR column as や(ya) in the 五十音. One would hope they'd get even one Japanese person to quality check the music video before it's published 🤦♂️
@@buraikusu I mean it wasn’t that big a deal, you’d think people are paying more attention to the music itself.
Though now that I see again it’s funny that they made that mistake
love this genre whatever it is
I didn't think I would ever find myself jamming to music that reminds me of "making my way downtown"
But here we are
