I love how Scott and Tim are total opposites in every way yet compliment each other so well.
What fascinates me most about Polyphia is that I'm absolutely not into their music but I 100% love listening to them talking about making music. All of their learnings, the experiments, the things they'd like to try. They never seem to get tired of it, love the spirit!

I love, that the subtitles say "applause", whenever tim plays ghostnotes
Instructions for us, the viewer
WHat is a ghostnote?
cause he is CLAPPING that guitar
@@deltagamma1442 It's like a inaudible note, you hear it is being strummed but it doesn't have a particular pitch. Drummers use ghostnotes as well. On a guitar the easiest way would be just palm muting a note and creating a scratchy sound with your picking hand.
Tim Henson makes you smoke a bowl with him out of a designer bong before selling you your 8th and then he keeps trying to give you a great deal on molly. His audi is for sure in the shop right now
I love that philosophy and it’s so true, using what you have to the best you can is far better than just throwing money at something hoping it’ll make you sound better. These guys are great
Tim's shoes definately has "Hanging with the boyz" vibes. 🌈🎸
the most provocative thing about the whole outfit
They look like Yeezy slides. Apparently super comfy
@@offsitearchive The only provocation being thrown out with that outfit is please peg my Bhole.
Grandmother’s slippers. 😂
Hard to bear.
I’ve been listening to these guys since they were super young. They really have come along way in their interviewing skills and understanding of tone and Melody.
Yay! Tim and Scott interviewing finally, Indeed we love hearing from you both; Tim and Scott need to link up with Nik Nocturnal
lol
Cool to see Tim and Scott together in an interview
Toenails, poly or nitro ?
nitro from the custom shop... tone nails😅
Wait for a custom Ibanez tone nail xD
Multilayer nitro ebony 😂
Prozac...
I need all of the signature tim specs ASAP actually 🙏
Tim needs to be introduced to Dan from TPS.
Scottie: Can I say the word a$$?
Tim: f*ed up
Not a huge fan of their music, but they seem very likeable, and genuinely happy to have had that interview
Fan or not, you can’t disagree they are extremely skilled
@@Stratmaster_absolutely.. they’ve created their own sound and even genre I’d say
I don't like listening to them, but I'm glad they exist is how I phrase it.
I don’t get why these types of comments exist. Lemme insult the band and explain my personal preferences, THEN say you liked the interview.
@@skylerfelix7609 who are you talking to here?
Very pleasant guys here, thanks for the interview!
This was awesome! Thank you!
Glad you put lepage on the D40!
I am very happy now (honestly!). Because i always thought, nobody instead of me still uses PodFarm. Nice guys!
This is really great! I love the way they make music really their on way. Even how they play guitar is so different and awesome. Huge inspiration for me!
go paint ur toe nails too dont forget!
@@fkfakemusic3172 Why should I? Because I said he is an awesome guitar player?
He changed the way I see the guitar so much by breaking out of the state of the art. Not even a homophobic dude full of selfhate can take me that. :*
I love these two so much!
Love these guys. Soo much respect for their innovation and work ethic💪🏾🤩🤙🏾🏝️😎
Automated knobs on everything,I love it.
I will ALWAYS choose an amp stack over a modeler because I love the physical feel of everything. There’s a magic there between me and my amp.
"It's not the gear...." OH THANK GOD, I CAN'T AFFORD THE GEAR. "It's the hands..." DAMN IT!!! I'M 52 AND GETTING ARTHRITIC FROM WORKING SO HARD WITH MY HANDS!
All good, I'll keep playing anyway.
Music makes me a better person.
Neurótica will not always not be an Iridescent yellow experience from this day to me, and god I love that song
JCM 800 for life, love it. i got a 2204s, limited edition smallbox 50 watt 800
I kinda envy you. I love JCM 800 and JMP 2203. I'm glad we have good amp sims now through pedals and VST because I ain't carrying all that. Plus I don't wanna stand next to it full blast all the time.
ALBUM MODE, FINALLY🎉🎉🎉
Tim Henson should hit That Pedal Show up to make him a pedalboard- this could be done 100% with the G3
7:28 Tim and Scott re-inventing/describing github's concept here but in songwriting form 😂 Actually legends
Tubes in general are great but there's much to be said for the push-pull of the preamp tubes alongside the power section (not to mention real spring reverb).
I wish they had a gig in Finland. I'd love to see em.
Great interview
I own both tube amps and moddelers and always gravitate for tube amp with real cab for in the room sound. Recording doesn't matter which one but real amp/cab sounds so good in the room.
yup. I i bought nice monitors, a few different amps from neural dsp, and really enjoy them but was never completely loved them, bought a 5150 iii and never looked back.
entertainment is about giving the people what they want art is about giving them what they didn’t know they wanted
i wish the did more with the first ep. talk about it more!!!!
Great interview...
I'm also a flip flop person. Even formally i show my toes. It's just the way I am. It's how I move.
I would love to get into that "vault " scottie mentioned. Oooo man.
Also there is both Access Analog and mix:analog. They lack the randomization of which you speak but you can digitally adjust parameters and save them on analog hardware.
What Tim describes about analog plug ins reminds me of my TC Helicon Perform V I use on my Mic
The Clays are just so good at guitar...
I have the V amp laying around 😅 great fun
I thought Tim had a sweet voice, but OMG, he has a lot of presence! definitely a phenomenon
HAHAHA LOL THIS GOTTA BE FUNNIEST SHIET IVE SEEN IN AWHILE HAHAHA YEAH HE SOUND LIKE A KOREAN WOMAN
@@fkfakemusic3172man you’re just trolling lol, Tim’s got a pretty deep voice it’s just really nasal

29:40 I had the same problem. Took a few months to dial it in and I had huge buyer's remorse. Glad i stuck it out.
Tim looks more and more like Tim every day...
10:52 This launched me off my chair/intro the stratosphere. That sound. That KRYS10 though.
definitely leave space for coffeeeeee
Scott's guitar is one of the nicest Ibanez i have ever seen, wt?
I'm not sure that Axe fx preset had the compressor up that high. Haha. But cool to know that was the foundation.
Scotty got some Dime in his soul!
tim rocking named collective
Love these guys! They are innovators just having a good time making music and inspiring so many guitarists (young & old).
100% 🙌
//Kris
Sick shoes tim
7:25 Scott, you can do me from every direction!
eww
20:15 Does anyone know which preset Tim is refering to ?
for that moving pedalboard, i dont think there is a better person to do it other than michael reeves!
So ppl are going back to reap amps/cabs on stage ... interesting.
its interviews like these where you get to learn some nuggets of wisdom from scott and tim
Thanks for watching! Yeah the guys were absolutely awesome. //Kris
I hope the JCM800 d9esnt shoot up now. Been trying to find one for cheap for a few years
22:15 bring me back to 2017.. 😌
I love tube amps and good cabs with volume up. Nothing like it. Feeling those speakers hit you in the nuts. Give you blue balls.
Grew up listen to Slash & Kurt Cobain, and discovering the feel of using Modeler & Tube Amp, definitely i do really love the sound of pure tube amp especially with the dynamic, nothing compare with real tube amps.
But i want to save my back, wallet and of course my neighborhood hate real amp.
Why would you WANT blue balls?!?!?
@@gohamm8629 my thoughts exactly 😂😂
nahh you're a freak
bro, just rub one out before you play next time
Get the guys a Bradshaw rig and Friedman or suhr amps
Metallica to sepultera, Chet Atkins to Tommy Emanuel ect. Tim Henson to ?. When Tim is 50 who will be the next? There's always someone who comes along and brings styles to another level.
#thatpedalshow talk to mic and dan
1. Mike Soldano did this long time ago, I mean a gear which is mechanically adjustable - Soldano X99, the thing is called servo motors/servomechanism.
2. There are ways to control some adjustments especially modes etc electrically - this is also some adjustment of analog path.
3. You can check Thomas Blug, as some of his gear may use similar concept, except literally moving the knobs
The Soldano X99 isnt portable, shit is meant for a rack mount. There is nobody in the pickup industry that can go toe to toe with fishman at the moment.
"Like aerospace technology"...
Yeah back in my day we just called it an "equalizer".
I can’t believe Tim did Sesame Street and finds all this time to shred guitar too
yes, I've read a lot here, but my summer and winter outfit is ...bermudas with flip flops, I'm just saying, chill out guys
Tim henson ini ganteng, model rambutnya kuereen, tatonya banyak tapi jatuhnya nambah keren meningkat beberapa kali lipat. Nih anak asli keren keren keren banget ngeett
Tim's gone full Death Elf Warlock
He looks trans
About the "analog plugin" - you'll have to make your own pedals with motorized knobs and MIDI - definitely doable but would it be worth it? xD
What song was tim playing around 13:19?
"The Worst" off of the album The Most Hated EP.
Give us your quad cortex presets, Polyphia!!!
Yeezy flip flops ???
What song is tim playing at 3:02??
Goose
Tim is slowly turning into an anime protagonist.
please never comment in an yt video ever again

tim henson is like the american bill kaulitz lol
Can yall make a US office and have a quarter of your stock there 😅
The Polyphia Boys in the very heart of European blues bender territory! Absolutely must see a pitstop over at the Anderton's house! XD
what are those
Tim Henson 🤍🤍
Wtf is this like a riddle we have to try and solve. Lol
tim henson looks like the michael jackson of guitar hahahaha
Chamon
Starsky und Hutch....Cheech und Chong...Tim und Struppi....man muß sie einfach mögen 😅
I always laugh at the comments that say they aren't into their music.....but they're following them... I think it's part jealousy and part them doing something no one else has done in modern music. Seamlessly mixing virtuoso guitar with rap/hip-hop/pop. Sure theres been virtuoso progressive music before but I don't think it's ever captured the mainstream like it has with Polyphia.
Plus I'm from about 20 minutes where Tim and Scott are from, so theres that too lol
Were plugins just NFTs? All the influencers got together and drove up the prices of a digital product. Once they made their millions they all went back to analog preamps and tube amps?
they both have their use - but i agree, vst prices have gotten ridiculous now that brands got behind them. it feels insane paying +$100 to unlock a preset in a program, where the platform only exists to lock you out if you don't pay.
It's like $150. Look up how much Waves used to cost.
Getting good tones for that price is cheaper than a practice amp.
GGD is $80 compared to Superior which is $300 plus.
Have to listen to some Aerosmith now 😂 guess which song
Duuuuude looks like a laydeeeeh
🇨🇦👽🎸👍🏼
I have no idea what any of the words they're saying mean but still cool to see them both in an interview
Who are they/them?
@@J0hnny8ravo Tim and Scott
The best thing about Polyphia is how humble they are ♥
the best things gotta be their music or scotts nose but yeah i love that they aren’t assholes 🤍
Can't tell if this is ironic

If by now you haven't realized that geeks taking over everything has led to a massive uptick in ADHD I seriously feel sorry for you. It's not just the tech fields, it is music, business, visual arts, even culture. 30 years ago movers, those who would acquire fame, had to resonate with a constant vibratory thing, have something stable not only identifiable. Now, the more tik-tok-y the thing is that you do, ie the more sporadic your work is, the more that thing is elevated as ''cool''. One thing, however, has not changed, and that is that it is only the people who care about trends, passing whimsical interests, who value cool. The ADHD camp(s) will continue to be what they have always been fleeting and eventually ignored.
wow lol. are you ok?
@@genesises Is anyone?
@@tasteapiana No that was a well said observation that wasn't inflammatory. I agree with you for the most part

Great video, really love the sound of Polyphia. However, how many times they use the word „like“? Terrible to listen to them….haha
Watching them talk about presets and just wanna say how annoyed I am that the G.O.A.T preset on Tim Henson Archetype does not sound like G.O.A.T at all ... like wtf???
I feel you but don't forget what Scott said, your rig / monitors will sound different than theirs. This is true for the guitar and the pickups as well. On top of that - and this might be the biggest factor - when you listen to the song you're hearing a produced version of his original guitar tone. It's almost always true that what we hear on an album is pretty far from how the guitar actually sounded in the room thanks to all the post-production, EQ, effects, etc. 🤷♂️ //Kris
@@ThomannsGuitarsBasses I understand what you are saying. But even if all of us bedroom guitarists like to pretend to be Tim/Scott ... I don't think anyone expects to have the tone 100%... but at least have it be close enough. I agree tone is in the fingers and all that, but the G.O.A.T preset is way off. At first I thought it was just me but with a google search I found other people sating the same thing.
Anyway, anyone interested in the Tim Henson Archetype... go for it, it is great and I don't regret getting it.
You should watch some of their videos before he had a plug-in. He used a different vst to achieve the record sound.
Tim has amazing skills but his music just grates on my ears. I must be getting old because I dislike their style of music.
Tim is my spirit animal!!! 🤘🏽
Super creative and inspiring dude. And very nice, down-to-earth too. Spirit animal indeed! //Kris
lmao they don't wanna be there
Isn't an analog plug in basically a pedal 😂
Umm... Umm... Umm. Umm.. umm... Ummmmmmmmmmmm...
Tim keeps cutting off Scott :(
