    So gotta say I really appreciate the fact that you are going over all the adjustments as this is a space that is lacking for RC Drift on RUclips. One suggestion would be to talk about what someone might be experiencing as far as operation and how to fix or adjust what is being felt when driving.
    Keep up the good work!

      Yup I gotta share what I’ve learned for those who don’t !
      It’s hard to really give a say on how to “ troubleshoot “ as the set up may be completely different. And also not everyone will even feel the difference. Most times seat time and just gaining knowledge thru track days is best. A good basic set up like on a yok or even the new RDX and other chassis the basic front end tune which is most likely around -7 camber, 8° caster, and minimal toe is going to be fine for the user. It really takes time to feel the chassis and its characteristics.

    Great info! Could you do an ESC tuning video in relation FDR video? Seems like most people don't account for ESC setup when choosing FDR especially with 10.5 or 13.5t motors getting the right tune will give the right feel and with a good mechanical tune setup the driving experience will be more enjoyable

    • @SHREDDITRC
      @SHREDDITRC  Год назад

      Great idea! Ima have to do that after the tuning vids. And yes as always the balance between all 3 motor, gearing, and esc is important to feel every rpm.

    Good video man!! I was hoping to see how your tires make contact with the surface throughout the turn just want to see how flat your tires are at full lock hope that makes sense 😂😂👍 you should do some more drift videos of your car looks dope

      For most of my cars I prefer to have positive camber gain at full lock. Apologies for not specifying nor showing it. But usually I would have my full contact patch at 45°->60° and full lock will have +3 to +5 camber

    Thank you for the vídeo! Helped a lot! What about the springs? I see that in your car, it is very, very soft... What springs should we use?

    • @SHREDDITRC
      @SHREDDITRC  Год назад +1

      For my wrap up Travis it’s a high battery car meant for realistic roll and weight transfer. So my springs are super soft and not recommended for a normal low battery set up. In the future I’ll get into springs and shock tuning but a good beginner spring set would be the reve’d box 006AS the linear springs. I highly recommend that one. My TT02 had those on he front and rear.

    hey man, was wondering if there is any tips for setting suspension sag. Appreciate your help, Thank you

    • @SHREDDITRC
      @SHREDDITRC  11 месяцев назад

      For extra droop? You’re gonna need to change shock length. Long top caps, long bottom caps. That changes piston position and the compression/rebound stroke. Good for higher level tuning but watch out, improper length will cause bottoming out and possibly uneven pressure in the shock chamber.

    if i want more ackerman on the slide rack your using, id put a bigger spacer to move the link attached to the rack forward or a shorter spacer to move it backwards?

    • @SHREDDITRC
      @SHREDDITRC  Год назад

      Yes for a similar slide rack or bell crank like the reve’d bell crank, a spacer is needed to adjust Ackerman. NOTE!!- Too big a spacer will cause issue with steering stroke and trailing wheel link clearance. This can be avoided by a curved ball cup or a knuckle with scrub adjustment. This will be mentioned in EP-3

    what mods did you do to your TT02 for it to be Drift compatible? Cheers

    • @SHREDDITRC
      @SHREDDITRC  Год назад

      Main mods I did was the MRC TT02 front end conversion
      ruclips.net/video/Z5oLDDMr-HM/видео.htmlsi=e4ZRIemW7AaUA7zZ
      •D5 front axles to limit free play
      •plastic yokomo shocks to have better suspension stroke and chassis feel by having them little more upright.
      It’s relatively easy to install and the clips of the jzx on the track Is the TT02.
      •I also changed the inner ball end to a threaded stud to adjust bumpsteer ( NOTE- it’s not needed that’s just what I did for my large track )
      You can buy the kit on Japanese sites or sites like buyee.

      @@SHREDDITRC Cheers mate, much appreciated. Iv just bought the Sakura D5 MR. And it's doing my head in, constantly spinning out and undriveable. Iv taken my TT02 Out on an indoor carpet track, and it was pretty amazing, but it's got both locked diffs, i understand that the rear needs to be locked and i need a one way diff for the front. Once iv done this, and the mods to the front end, I'm sure it will drive even better. At least with the TT02 Chassis, it's pretty much good to go once built up. But the Sakura is a whole different leve. I shall do the mods you have recommended though. This is my first Tamiya TT02 and I'm pretty happy with it, fairly decent chassis and capable once its Brushless...👍🏼😉

    • @SHREDDITRC
      @SHREDDITRC  Год назад

      @@k1ortia the d5 isn’t too hard to set up properly you really need a good servo and gyro combo for drift. Even with the stock tune it should drive ok. The TT02 being RWD is great, it drives great, but for carpet I’d suggest a thicker diff fluid or a sticky grease to put in the gear diff. The D5mr does need a little bit of work as for a beginner chassis i would recommend a MST 2.5 RTR they work great out the box and need very little adjustment to get right.

    • @k1ortia
      @k1ortia Год назад +1

      @@SHREDDITRC Yes iv heard the MST is great, but i didn't fancy wasting over $200 on something if i decided it wasn't for me. But after trying out drifting with the TT02, I found that really exciting and enjoyable. So I'm think I'll stick with it for the time being. I do have a gyro with the D5 but it's only a cheap Skyrc Gc-401. And the servo is a metal digital 20kg i had laying around brand new. Iv heard the Futaba Gyro is supposed to be the one. But still pretty pricey. What diff oil would you recommend for the TT02,s diff on carpet.?
