I picked up a 07 GT500, 24K miles for $27K. The price difference between an 07 and a 13 is huge. I would rather take the difference between the two and invest some of it in my 07 to make it faster & better.
13/14 looks better, has better interior, handles better, brakes better, and makes a ton more power both stock and bolt on vs bolt on. Now 07-09s are around 30k+- while 13/14s are 50k+- but you get a lot to show for the added 20k. If money is your concern I wouldn't buy neither but rather just pick up a built new edge roller for like 5k, put 15k into it and destroy everything with 4 wheels. 24k miles for 27k tho can't say that was a bad buy.
Lol I feel like my 12 is a rescue. Previous owner neglected the shit out of it. I brought the paint back to life, re-striping, chip repair, mad dent in trunk (replaced entirely), dent repair around entire vehicle, airbag recall taken care of, transmission fluid changed, all in a year. Everyone at shows can’t believe what is used to look like. She looks immaculate, but a ways to go. Sweet channel man, subbed 🤙🏻
Good video, I bought a 2012 gt 500 brand new in 2013 ,it's grabber blue it now has about 6500 kms . I am always getting people at the lights complimenting on it. I am happy with it.
I learned a lot from this Video.. There are so many little differences every few years.. Growing up a friend of mine had an 1988 white GT 5.0.. So as I got older the Mustang along with Camaro's and Vett's were always like my Dream cars.. And I am so happy with my purchase.. I am trying to get a little RUclips channel started on the side with this car, Not going to go crazy with the Mod's. Stock makes me smile too... But I am going to go stage 1.5ish Tuned Whipple within the next 3 years while keeping her legal.. I'd be happy with a safe 600 to 650 wheel.. It needs to be Daily Able every day even though she will only be a weekend car..
It is easy to restore the alcantara on the wheel to be like new no matter how bad condition it is in. My alcantara was in terrible condition, rock solid and smooth, so I used a wet microtowel and gripping the wheel hard rubbed it with the towel. I kept rinsing the towel out and repeating and it pulled all the dirt and oil out of the wheel, once the wheel dried in a couple of hours it was like brand new soft and fuzzy alcantara.
So did the 5,8 GT500 block start with the Modular 5.4 that the Lincoln Navigator used, but added VVT like the coyote? Basically the 5.4 was a stroked 4.6, used the same Lincoln Mk8 DOHC 4V heads. Coyote functionally added the VVT, probably required a block modification. The bore spacing would be the same as the coyote in a wider block with longer stroke. The GT500 5.8 liter was likely a further Stroked with a thinner sleeve than the 5.4.. 50 cubic inches additional over the Coyote. Guess the 5.8 DOHC VVT didn't catch on.. would of thought the aftermarket would come out bigger block version of the coyote..
Audience, I'm looking for one now, but private owners live so many miles/hours away. The stealer ships have such a high markup and it's totally madness. I own an 04 mystichrome cobra, and a 93 procharged Fox with ALL the racing components attached. I'm trying to add a 2014 gt500 to my collection. Now, If I just can't find one I like for CASH, then I'll consider a mach 1 or Rosch.
Low mileage and no mods is a no brainer. That pertains to every car. I picked up my Grabber Blue 2010 GT350 with 14k miles back in 2012. Paid 43k it was certified one local PA owner bought new at the dealer I bought it from with all service records and clean car fax of course. 2010 is same 540 HP as the 2011s and 2012s just has the cast iron block 5.4 and is about 100 lbs heavier in the front end.
@@triggersociety12 Thanks for the information on the added 10 up for the 2011s and 2012s. I added an SVT resonator eliminator kit and removed the stock baffles and added a low restriction Air Aid filter. I find the 540 HP and the solid axle a hoot to drive and a challange at times. I had an issue with my one front paint stripe small price on front bumper. It had a chunk out of it. I ordered a new NOS factory stripe one for both sides for a match on the front bumper. It was 107 dollars for each small paint stripe!. Had the Ford body shop fix it.
I have and have had several of both 11-14’s. My actual preference is the 11’s with the 13 rear bumper skin, tail lights, & quad tip exhaust. I don’t drive them hard so pure performance isn’t my criteria. The 11’s drive smoother and more like an everyday driver with more than enough power if you want it. Recaros look better but are not as comfortable and I lean then upper section back getting in and out of the car not to wear the side of the seat. I do prefer the dash / guage set up on 13’s. I also have & had 13/14 GT’s and prefer them over 11/12 GT’s. My only commment is; the content here was pretty good, I disagree with the idea that low mileage clean car w/ factory tail lights has probably been wrecked. It’s still just original most likely. No doubt the least attractive part of 11/12’s is the rear bumper & exhaust. They went from the worst looking tail lights to the best ever on a Mustang. I’ll never forget the first time I was behind a 13 at night to see the trace LED’s. That is easy to change
Great video. I sold my Terminator and bought a bone stock 2012 GT500. The car is in pristine condition. Only mod is a Roush axel back - sounds amazing. Not sure if it has a shifter but I’m thinking it might because I haven’t had the second gear lockout problem yet.

Question is ... Low miles could be a 1/4 mile at a time.
Finally someone said it these cars are meant to be driven not a garage queen just to keep the miles down to resale

Good to know!
I prefer the 13 and 14's just for the lines and overall look. Plus, the 13 and 14's have the 662hp engine, plenty of power for the street.
Not as modable tho, couple mods and the motor will start ticking
@@jakeryan5.0 What mods do that?
Agreed, but you do pay a hefty premium. Most I've priced were in the 60k range.
