@@martux6815Power commander is NOT necessary to use this, and although this is gonna depend on the type of motorcycle you have, it should be fairly easy to install (on my naked bike, it was as simply as unscrewing the stock O2 sensor and plugging this in and took 5 minutes).

Will the engine overheat with just this mod, without the PCM?

Why is this necessary? For the power commander?
Yes, better with the PCM
It also increases torque on low RPMS on it's own and make the low RPMs smoother to ride (i.e. doesn't choke as easily)
