Quaquaval has a lot of personality and cool animations! Glad that I chose it as my starter!
Quaquaval squad who else wants to join
I even built mine competitively. Even though I can't play online
@@degendarp12345 I do
@@darkthreads864 Having Moxie and Aqua Step makes it pretty dangerous
It gets shutdown by prankster torment Murkrow tho....
So fun fact, you can reliably get Ice Hammer on Tinkaton without breeding. Have an open move slot on Tinkaton while it's holding a Mirror Herb and have a Crabominable with Ice Hammer in your party, then do a picnic. Once you're done picnicking, you instantly have Ice Hammer on Tinkaton. Same goes for Curse on Clodsire
Hmm gotta try that out on my Tinkaton. Mine has
Gigaton Hammer
Play Rough
Rock Slide (for Fire coverage)
Thunder Wave
Might ditch T-Wave for it since it's too slow to use it anyway
@@LatinGiudo817 I really recommend it. Ice Hammer is strong and provides a way to hit Ground types, especially Garchomp
@@hypershadicfusionofhope9342You can also just use a fairy type like play rough (It won’t be 4x super effective, but it’s 2x and has stab)
6:31 I dont think that's how Spicy Extract works. It doesnt raise the Scovillain's Attack, rather it instead raises the TARGET'S Attack while also lowering the target's Defense
Exactly, it's meant to be used on your ally in double battles
ALOT of RUclipsrs make this mistake
@@a-bomb777 only way i can see it being useful in singles is if it's used on a special attacker who wouldn't benefit from the attack boost
Spicy Extract pairs really well with an ally Pokémon that has Foul Play, since Foul Play does more damage the higher attack the opponent has. The lowered defense makes Foul Play do even more damage.
Imagine thinking MysticUmbreon has actually played these games.
Can’t deny that Clodsire and KiloWattrel are great Pokémon. Used them in my Meowscarada team with Ceruledge, Tinkaton and Palafin.
Kilowattrel is honestly really good. I'd advise getting one with Volt Absorb so it's a free switch-in against Electrics and you can buy a turn as the AI doesn't seem to know that Kilowattrel has Volt Absorb right away. Thunderbolt can also be more consistent than Electro Ball since Electro Ball is only stronger if the target has less than 33% the Speed of the user. Just something to think about. Tera Blast can be viable if you're up for grinding for Tera Gems to give it more type coverage. Namely Ice for STAB BoltBeam coverage once Tera'd.
I chose Quaquaval and I am happy to report my final team was very similar to this team.
I used Quaquaval
Clodsire
Kilowattrel
Tinkaton
But instead of your last 2 picks I used Armourouge and Axcalubur
(I definitely butchered some spellings but that’s okay)
Ehh i use lucario and scovillan
My team is similar to yours. I am going to use Cyclizar and Scovillian in my recent team.
I’m very happy Houndstone was on this team I used one on my play through and he was a very late edition but he was good at cleaning up and was just all around adorable so happy it made the team
Quaquaval is my favorite out of the 3 and I think he's full of personality and power, so im happy for made this
Also I'd say use brick break instead on tikaton, so youre not walled by steel types
I gave it bulldoze and tera fairy so it could cover both of the fairy weaknesses
@@waterthunder smart
Finally. Although I was hoping to see meowscarda first but cool
Super same
Wow no need to be a pr!ck
Honestly, I did use most of these Pokémon. The only one I did not use was Houndstone. I instead used Farigiraf because of its Armor Tail ability being good against the Ghost type gym. Mostly because of her Banette having priority moves which Armor Tail stops. Which means I just ignore the Banette. Also having my tera type as normal also helped because I could just tera Farigiraf into normal making it only weak to fighting.
Yes, this team was very nice, despite having a repeat member (Tinkaton). I'm looking forward to the Grass Starter team, and I hope that is as varied as this was.
My team with Quaquaval (my 1st Starter) where:
Armarouge, Lokix, Glimmora, Baxcalibur & Gholdengo
looking at Tinkaton's Stats now makes me glad to Grind for Gholdengo.
My original team was Quaquaval, Clodsire, Ceruledge, Pawmot, Venomoth, and Pikachu. Like Mudsdale in Alola, Clodsire became one of my all time favorite Pokémon and a treasured member of my team. Glad to see Clodsire as a mainstay! 😊
2 electric types and 2 fighting types? Good team other than that tho
I chose Springtito as my starter which became a Meowscarada as my main. Later on, I also had a Ceruledge, Kilowattrel, Tinkaton, Clodsiee and a Veluza. These six helped me mostly through out my playthrough. They were also the first six I got up to level 100.
no fighting type is crazy
@@blankoisagod2083 I have my Tinkaton use Brick Break so that's at least something.
Spicy extract raises the target's attack thts kinda sad and useless but ig if u can outspeed it's a decent move
Love that half of this team is actually what I used in my scarlet play through! (Quaquaval, Tinkaton and Houndstone)
My team was quite different, even though I used Quaquaval. My team was Quaquaval, Baxcalibur, Ceruledge, Espathra, Glimmora, and Kilowattrel, but I later replaced Kilowattrel with the Former Titan Iron Treads.
This is my Quaquaval (Daffy’s) Moveset:
Jolly Nature/Muscle Band
- Liquidation
- Close Combat
- Ice Spinner
- U-Turn
Aay the same moveset as me outside of aqua step for liquidation its so good
I loooooove quaquaval thank you
And i am first here yaaaaaaaaay
Here was my Quaxly team: Quqaval, Umbreon, Gargancl, Fairgriaf, Revaroom, and Dachsbun
For Quaquaval's moveset:
Sure, I can agree that Acrobatics is a powerful Flying Type move mid-game, but it won't do much damage as it is 10 base power lower than the strongest Flying Type move the samba-duck can learn (Brave Bird by TM) w/o held items. So I suggest replacing Acro with BB (BB is obtainable by super jumping/climbing the segmented hill west of Los Platos).
As for Ice Spinner, I can agree with its coverage (especially with the Elite 4), I can make an argument for either Swords Dance or U-Turn. Swords Dance for boosting your attacks when your opponents are busy healing, and U-Turn for when you've got caught up in a bad matchup and wanted to deal chip damage so that your other party members can finish the fight.
I still used Acrobatics because its a little bit of damage to sacrifice for no recoil damage
For me the best team for my favourite quaquaval would be
Quaquaval
Ceruledge
Tinkaton
Kilowattrel
Baxcalibur
Toedsqruel/Arboliva
Even tho Scovillain spicy extract is much worse than what you thought, Scovillain is still good. If you get chlorophyll on it, then it can sweep teams
I had the captions on and it said:"Which you'll get for beating Russia🇷🇺🗿"
That was a great team!! I used Quaquaval for my first starter in that region and I had some good fun with my team! I ran Quaquaval, Ceruledge, Garchomp, Gardevoir, Toxtricity, and Corviknight
I played Quaxly on my first play through team in Violet.
My team is the Duck Starter:
2: Bitter Knight
3: the Walking Mushroom
4: the Thorr Hammer
5: the Electric Seagull
6: the Frozen Spinosaurus
I had the exact same team only with the weed cat starter!
Thank you for putting Quaquaval and Scovillain on the same team.
Love the video and keep up the great work
as someone else mentioned, Spicy Extract doesn't boost your attack, it boosts the targets attack. making it only really useful against special attackers who wouldn't benefit from Attack being raised
personally i'd replace Spicy Extract with either Sunny Day if your Scovillain has Chlorophyll to boost its speed and fire attacks, or Zen Headbutt for extra coverage against Poison types
Spicy Extract can be really good in doubles if you have a Pokémon with Foul Play, as Foul Play deals more damage the more attack the opponent has.
For Quaqaval if you don’t want Close Combat for it then either Brick Break or Low Sweep would be good options. I wish it gets Drain Punch though. But at least Roost via egg moves though.
Quaquaval was my favorite starter. Kinda felt like not a lot of people give it enough love. So of course I use it xD my team that I ended up with: Quaquaval, Tinkaton, Gardevoir, Sunflora, Grafaiai, Paleosand.
would put a rock type somewhere on the team and it would be decent
@@blankoisagod2083 that's fair. Tho im not a fan of rock types tbh
Picking a starter most people don't choose makes you very unique
For scolavilan I would replace spicy extract with sunny day and seed bomb with solar beam Because that is how I used it.
That's especially good if you get one with Chlorophyll as that'll patch up its low Speed. There's also Stomping Tantrum to cover more things since opposing Fire types resist its STAB combination and hit back for neutral damage with their own fire moves. Solar Beam's a maybe given it can be unreliable if you can't keep Sun up and Scovillain is pretty frail so keeping Seed Bomb is a valid option over it for that reason.
Spicy Extract: Harshly lowers the opponent's Defense and sharply raises THEIR Attack.
Yes kilowatrell my favourite bird😍. Its so OP 😎. It only has two weakness ice and rock. I know that it's special attacker but hey come on you have got to use it. There is bombider and squawkabilliy. And I think kilowatrell will bring that much height to the team.
Okay, so I thought I'd comment on a missed opportunity on Kilowattrel. Use either Hurricane or Air Slash, and replace the other Flying attack with Tailwind. Tailwind will proc it's own Wind Power, boosting its next Electric Attack. Plus, it makes the rest of the team speedier. This team is similar to what I used, but instead used Ceruledge and Gogoat instead of Houndoom and Scovillian.
Quaquaval was my starter, and I'm kinda glad to see that his 'best' moveset matches what I gave him (though I did consider Liquidation over Aqua Step for the extra power). ^_^
Thanks Mystic Umbreon for making Quaxly Best Team Edition to help me make the best time to get through Pokémon Scarlett! 😄
I definitely didn't regret this as my starter. I knew it had promise very early I'm just glad I didn't follow the crowd and choose fuecoco. Like 99% of you
Ice spinner is an amazing move that basically made ice punch non existent in most battles.
Assuming the Pokemon can learn Ice Spinner too.
@@ShiningJudgment666 true but let's face it loads of pokemon can
Loved my little Quaxly and now its a graceful Quaquaval. And she kicks ass.
Hell I’ve been waiting for this for the longest
Have Tinkaton use Foul Play to take advantage of Scovillain and Spicy Extract.
Spicyextract gets rid of your opponent’s defense but it raises your opponent’s attack
My team was all 3 starters, tinkaton, closire, and Baxcalibur
I'm first also my fav from gen 9 is quaxly
Mine too
You probably could’ve swapped Houndstone for Mabossstiff if you really wanted. Ghost is a hard match-up because your main offensive check is a ghost. Plus Mabosstif gets pretty good moves and intimidate
I am using Quaquaval as my starter in Violet. I changed my team a little bit. It was between two fire types, Houndoom and Ceruledge. At first, I was going to use Houndoom, but in the past, I used it before., so I decided to use Ceruledge. My current team is Quaquaval, Arboliva, Ceruledge, Kilowattrel, Clodsire and Tinkaton. All of them have a dual type which helps coverage
I’m about to start a second run on Scarlet which will be a third time playing the games if you include my violet run. But I was waiting for this video so my last run will be with using Quaquaval with my other two runs using the other starters. Thank you for the team idea Mystic.
Spicy Extract doesn't work the way you said. It boost the targets attack and lowers their defense
I ran one playthrough with a main team exactly like this around Quaxly, except I used Ceruledge as Ghost type instead of Houndstone. Ceruledge would have Bitter Blade, just so to let Scovillain have Energy Ball and Flamethrower instead alongside Crunch and Zen Headbutt.
I can recommend Glimmora over Clodsire as a special attacking alternative once in a while, since Glimmora has the same exact coverage with Earth Power on top of Power Gem.
I also swapped Golduck with Quaquaval when Quaq was too overlevelled 😂, as a special attacker having Surf, Ice Beam, Psyshock and Brick Break.
Instead of Swords dance, I use protect in the Recharge turn for Tinkaton.
Here for the quqquaval qrew
This team is also kind off new Pokemon only kind of team...I am happy to see these teams without much of repetition Pokemon
From the moment I saw the first trailer for the game I knew I wanted this adorable little duck
I think you misunderstood scovillain's spicy extract. It lowers the defense of the opponent but also buffs their attck stat.
All I can think about when I look at quaxly is that he’s Donald Duck without his jacket and it’s not until his final form that thought stops
Real talk, it's actually so easy to get all 3 starters in this game cause a lot of people are tying to shiny hunt their starters so I think that should be taken into consideration for your best team series. I picked Sprigatito and got Quaxel and Fuecoco right away simply from surprise trading. Not to mention trade codes makes the starters to accessible,
My team was the 3 starters, Tinkaton, Kilowattrel, and a shiny Gogoat that I randomly found outside the crab titan cave
Scovilan is nice but I thought abroliva would fit in and amroague is awesome.
In spicy extract the target defence and attack are deceased and increased not scovillans
Here’s my Quaquaval team so far, putting this here as I need some opinions. I’m not very good at this yet, also can’t remember all the move pools but I’ll try my best.
-Quaqaval
Aqua step
Acrobatics
Low sweep? I think
Ice spinner
-Luxray
Trailblaze
Thunderwave
Bite
Thunder
-Clodsire
Chilling water
Mud slap, I think
Megahorn
Minds blanking on his last move.
-Talonflame
Heatwave
Flamecharge
Quick attack
Maybe bravebird? I can’t remember again.
-Tinkaton
Gigaton Hammer
Play rough
Skitter smack
Flash cannon
That’s all right now. I’m struggling with the last slot, as I wanna keep Bisharp but maybe add something like Hydreigon or one of its lower evolutions. Any recommendations would be very cool and helpful. I still have two team star bases, the last dragon titan and the league.
By the way, I know that there’s probably better than Talonflame. I would be able to take her off the team but she is one of my favourite pokemon, so I’d rather keep her in.
Quaquaval is my starter and my team members are:
- Flamigo
- Tinkaton
- Pawmot
- Ceruledge
- Baxcalibur
I sometimes change between Ceruledge and Armorouge.
Spicy extract can only be used on other pokemon, like heal pulse, not like swords dance
Can't stop Seeing The Band from the Prom scene in American Pie everytime I see Quaquaval
I'm at Scovillian and so far this has been my exact team with my Quaxly playthrough
This team honestly has better well-rounded defensive coverage than the last team. Half of the Croc team could get torn up by ground types, while this team is only -1 to Ghost and Psychic!
I love how you can customize your character to have a pompador to match quaxly
For quaquaval if you have an item aerial ace is better bc when quaquaval has a heald item acrobatics power is 55 but aerial ace has power 60
I went with Quaquaval as my starter too since I usually always pick a water type but I enjoyed the adundace of Ghost types this gen. My final team is as follows:
Quaquaval
Annihilape
Kilowattrel
Ceruledge
Shiny Mismagius
Cyclizar
I find it funny that I've used half of this team on my own during my playthrough of Violet, that being Quaquaval, Tinkaton, and Scovillain, just with a few different moves (Quaquaval knowing Feather Dance instead of Acrobatics, Scovillain knowing Fire Fang and Zen Headbutt instead of Crunch and Flamethrower, and Tinkaton knowing Bulldoze and Rock Slide instead of Crunch and Swords Dance).
And while this team is great, there are a few things I'd fix.
The big one is Kilowattrel's moveset. I'd replace Hurricane and Volt Switch with Roost and Swift, the latter being more coverage for it -- even though it gets none for some reason -- and the former being a good recovery move.
Houndstone would need a small fix, too, replacing Phantom Force with some other move like Body Press or Psychic Fangs.
Those are just my opinion, though. Aside from those things, the team looks pretty solid all around, and I'd be happy to using this team for a playthrough.
This is so close to the exact team I used in my playthrough
This is pretty much the team I used except I really wanted to use a DunDunsparce. So that is what I used instead of Clodsire. DunDunsparce has some good earth and poison attacks which I used on him.
This is the only best team beside the new pokemon only one to have all members being new pokemon. That amazing.
I used a Quaquaval, Dachsbun, Arbolivia, Flareon, Kilowattrel, and Houndstone. I think this is actually the first time 2 of my pokemon have been in one of your videos
This is basically my team except I swapped Houndstone for Baxcalibur (with a Dark Tera type)
Did I accidentally make a good team? Here is my team:
Quaquaval
Lycanroc
Donphan
Lucario
Noivern
Luxray
I know there aren't any new Paldea pokemon aren't in my first playthrough. But it's pretty good regardless. I've only struggles against Water and Fighting types so far...
I lold when your Quacks has 3/4 of the same moves as mine. I have brick break in place of close combat.
As someone who used quaquaval I had 2 in clodsire and houndstone of the 5 other monster for my team here. As for the other 3 I had Armourouge, Pawmot, Baxcalibur
Quaquaval is fabulous!
My Team for Quaquaval
Tsareena
Garganacl
Clodsire
Houndstone
Ceruledge
Well this is interesting for me because I just so happened to have used 4 of your same 6 pokemon used on this best team with same move sets and similar type comps in my Scarlett playthrough!
The 4 pokemon being Quaquaval obviously but also Tinkaton, Clodsire and Kilowattrel. For Scovillain I had Armarouge and for Houndstone I used the new evolution of Primeape Annihilape!
I did consider using Scovillain and Houndstone at one point but felt both Armarouge had better defensive stats and Annihilape had better offensive stats. Plus I thought they both looked cooler and wanted them on my team!
The only drawback I found was having two fighting types and poison type left me vulnerable to psychic types but this really didn’t prove to be a big an issue since Annihilape would survive most attacks which would futher boost rage fist. Armarouge and Tinaton where easy switch ins for Psychic attacks with their resistances and the latter having Brutal Swing as an option. I would sub in Lokix from time to time as a hard check for psychic types but it wasn’t that necessary in the end.
Love what you do Mystic! Keep up the great work!
this was soooooooo close to being my exact team! i just used arboliva instead of scovillian!!
Quaquaval, Dachsbun, Ceruledge, Baxcalibur, Pawmot, Toedscrool
Okay, 4 out of 6 of those Pokémon I had on my Scarlet Team
Went with the duck as my starter and ended it with Quaquaval | Garganacl | Baxcalibur | Tinkaton | Lokix | Espathra which honestly was quite the overkill. Thumbs up on the Scovillian inclusion though! Had him till I replaced him with the pseudo.
Can't wait for the fire and grass teams next!
ehh that team doesn't seem too good
He already did the fire starter best team. That was the original best team for the game. Now it the grass cat time to shine next ✨️
Thank for doing a best team of the starter I'm going to be using
Sounds like my current Scarlet team. Except instead of Clodsire I may go with either Krookodile or Palossand, or maybe use Skuntank and Palossand instead of Houndstone and Clodsire. I like Clodsire but its slow speed kind of turns me away from using it. Yes, a ground type immune to water is nice. Or use Kingambit and Mimikyu instead of Tinkaton and Houndstone.
Please make meowscarada based pokemon team
I like how all members of this best team are paldean pokemon
Spicy Extract doesn't raise Scovillian's attack, it raises the target's attack, so you're doubling the target's attack and halving its defense, meaning it'll hit you a lot harder. If it raised Scovillain's attack, this move would be banned in tournaments as it would be OP. XD
I find it funny that the first four are my exact team (I was gonna do kilowattrel but my brother wanted it and I wanted us to have unique teams. I went with Bombirdier and Farigiraf) even Quaquaval has the exact same moveset.
Spicy Extract does not work that way. It boosts the TARGET'S Attack stat, not your own.
ngl, if a team has a free slot, I’m a huge fan of a Gallade with Sharpness and a normal Tera type.
Nice team, it was close enough what I did, except i used Zoroark and Ursaring
I used almost the exact team except for Clodsire and Scovillain which I changed for Garganacle and Toedscruel purely because I liked the designs much more😂
Then the over starters and rank the rivals for 2023
Ah yes, my favorite Gen 9 starter.
Donald.
I really hope I can see firgraif in the next video it's my new fav pshyic type 🙂
Even I don’t like the starter I would use this team except for scolvillian
Hi, good sir! Just subbed! Did you do best team for Fuecoco, yet? This is my current team-
Skeledirge
Annihilape
Salamence
Luxray
Tinkaton
Gothitelle-
Just love Pokemon and your content is informative and entertaining!
Wow, I hit 4 Pokemons out of 6 in this list for my Violet playthrough. Except that I use Ceruledge and Arboliva instead of Scovillain and Houndstone.
My Elite 4 Team
Quixote the Quaquaval
Spicer the Corviknight
Misery the Dragapult (evolved during the E4)
Newton the Magnezone
Anders the Gogoat
Michelle the Weavile
