Grass- Meowscarada
Fire- Skeledirge
Water- Dondozo
Electric- kilowatrell
Fighting- Anilihape
Ghost- Houndstone
Dragon- Baxcailbur
Ground- Clodsire
Poison- Revaroom
Fairy- Tinkaton
Steel- kingambit
Normal- Grafafai
Ice- Cetitian
Bug- lokix
Rock- Gargancal
Dark- Bombider
Flying- Talonflame
Psychic- Gardevoir. I can't help it either.
The ostrich mon is pretty good epically with normal terra
I agree with Lotix over Heracross, because Heracross is available so late in playthrough
Not all heroes wear capes
The thing about Egg Moves though, is that now you don't need to breed to get them anymore. You just have to buy a single Mirror Herb, which are available right at the start of the game already and then just catch the pokémon with the egg move you need, delete a move on the pokémon that wants the egg move, give him the herb, then picnic, wait a bit and there you go, egg move is now on the other pokémon. I think egg moves are now viable options for ingame playthroughs
Its such an amazing change yeah. More people need to know about this.
Thank you!! Now my Azumarill can pack Belly Drum and show his might as the Fairy soldier!
If he knew that, Klawf on the best team would have Crabhammer.
For flying in surprised that Corviknight wasn't even mentioned...or The Wattrel line
@@Chromia1 With Tinkaton, why would you?
I had a Grafaiai in my first playthrough. Its honestly super underrated. Great Pokémon with by far one of the strongest designs this Gen imo.
Garganacl was also on that team. Its perfect quite frankly. Incredible stats, surprisingly useful ability & by far one of the best move pools of any Rock type to date. Its design is also super unique & memorable. Thing was my Ace throughout my journey until I got Tinkaton.
Grafaiai has a great pool of coverage moves, it was super useful on my team. Garganacl was excellent too.
Gargasalt is my fave new mon from this gen by far.
It has SO many fun strategies with it's move pool.. my fave is a very long drawn out painful stall win:
Tera Fighting / Purifying Salt / Kings Rock / Impish
MOVES: Block , Salt Cure , Iron Defense , Recover
The 4th slot can be SO many choices depending on build, like most types physical power moves like Stone Edge, ALL the punches, EQ, Avalanche, Heavy Slam and Zen Headbutt can be matching to your tera. It's perfect.
3:52 Sorry, Mystic.
But Maushold eclipses Grafaiai in every single way.
It has 2 busted AF signature moves in Tidy Up (removes any hazards + raises its already high Speed stats) and Population Bomb (Hits 10 times and always hit 2hen holding the Wide Lens + it's a Normal type move).
Not to mention P-Bomb is 20 BP, meaning it pairs really well with Maushold's HA: Technician.
Never used him wow thays amazing I'll have to use it when I play though scarlet (got both versions and beat violet)
Dudunsparce and arboliva are also better bro
The problem with Maushold in an in-game playthrough is that it learns Population Bomb at Lv. 53, which makes it only relevant for pretty much the end of the game, and this list is based on who is best for an in-game playthrough.
Where are Gholdengo, Palafin, and Baxcalibur?
@@gossamergossamer1930 I actually used Palafin in my playthrough and it was extremely effective. That said, having to switch it out at the start of battle can be an annoyance, and having to access Union Circle to evolve it kind of puts it on the same level as trade evolutions.
Gholdengo would be a great choice, but having to collect 999 coins is a huge hurdle. It's just not feasible for an "efficient" playthrough.
Baxcalibur is encountered relatively late and takes up to level 54 to fully evolve; before then it's not all that great.
Sceptile was my all time favorite grass type starter, but now Meowscarada is my favorite grass starter.
Sprigatito was the 1st ever grass type I started with and I've been playing since Red and Blue lol. Definitely worth the choice and one of my favorite starters now
Mine was the OG bulbasaur. Then Snivy made me rethink. And now Meowscarada...
Grass types be gucchi
Mine too I love Meowscarada so much!!
@@leargamma4912 I guess I'm more of a water type person lol. My favorites are Totodile, Mudkip, Oshawatt and Froakie lol. Sprinkle in some fires here and there, but it seems I mostly gravitate towards the water designs. As my cousin would say, "well you are a water sign, that explains why"
A stupid rule of mine that I always seem to follow when playing a pokemon game is I only use pokemon of that generation during my playthrough, and I only want to use dual typed pokemon lol.
Same lol
I always found using and experimenting with the generations new pokemon to be one of the fun parts of a playthrough. At least for the central main story (or three in this case).
My new rule is 3 fully evolved new pokemon and 3 fully evolved old pokemon.
I’ve given myself that rule as well after looking over my first teams for sun and sword which I only used 3 new Pokémon in them (which coincidently happened to be the grass starter and early Route normal type which was replaced the legendary you catch during the story in both games)
Yeah, I only use new Pokémon too
I love how all 18 types got a type specialist but what baffles me is how did an 8 year old make it into the paldean elite four
So happy to see Cyclizar on here. Was already fully planning to use it in game
MysticUmbrella is my favourite poketuber
Edit:damn you autocorrect
MYSTICUMBRELLA???
🤣🤣🤣
I prefer MysticRaincoat
@@liamtaylor5067 I prefer mysticdeeznuts
Mysticunderwear is my favourite
Best bug for a playthrough is easily Vivillon imo. It is caught in the first area so you have access to it through the whole game. It is not the most damaging bug but Compound eyes + sleep powder at level 12 is great utility in the early game for catching pokemon and buying vivillon time to defeat stronger opponents. Later on, the combination of sleep powder, quiver dance, bug buzz and hurricane will destroy most of the game.
Normal: I think Staraptor actually takes it here. A classically strong Pokemon with strong secondary STAB and coverage.
Poison: Actually, I would nominate Gengar here. Thanks to an NPC who trades you a Haunter that does *not* have an Everstone, you can easily get this powerhouse and walk all over the game. Honestly, I'm not really a fan of Clodsire; I felt that its offensive power was just too weak later in the game.
Flying: I can't put Gyarados here because it doesn't really get any notable Flying moves. I think Flamigo is the choice here for how early you get it and its incredible STAB combination and great stats.
Bug: The issue I have with Heracross is that you can only find them in high-level areas that require having already beaten most of the gyms in order for one you catch to actually obey you. For bugs that are accessible early game, I think Lokix is a good choice because it has solid stats, great STAB moves, and great Fighting coverage.
Also, in case you didn't know, you can teach any Pokemon any of its Egg moves by simply having it hold a Mirror Herb while having an empty move slot, and then starting a Picnic with another Pokemon in the party with the Egg move in question. The Pokemon don't even need to be the same species. So it is extremely easy to get Aqua Jet onto Azumarill.
I feel you on Clodsire even though it has water absorb it’s just not going to definitely KO mons it’s super effective against with 70 attack, which is why I chose to get a sandile after beating the bird titan (gible is also a good option too)
Must say, if it was not that tough to evolve, i think Gholdengo had been here in the list, is literally the best in game pokemon, but also is really viable after level 56
So the best pokemon for each types in this game imo are:
Grass: Meowscarada
Fire: Armarouge or Skeledirge
Water: Palafin, but when switching gets annoying Gyarados
Electric: Magnezone
Flying: Corviknight or Staraptor (depends on if you prefer bulk or offense)
Fighting: Annihilape
Ghost: Ceruledge or Skeledirge
Psychic: Espathra
Dark: Mabostiff
Bug: Rabsca
Steel: Gholdengo
Dragon: Baxcalibur
Fairy: Azumarill
Ground: Mudsdale
Rock: Garganacl
Ice: Cetitan
Poison: Glimmora
Normal: Maushold late game, Arboliva early game
I love tinkaton. I swear. Having the most fun with her and i have the sword dance and playrough with her signature move but i thought rock slide having coverknight in mind
Tinkaton was a lot of fun to play with!
I used tinkaton all the way!
The game has been out for a month, and he still says Armarouge wrong.
Azumarill only learns Aqua Jet as an egg move? Oh no! I'm sure egg moves are _super_ hard to get in this gen!
I personally love using Dachsbun 🥰
Same! Dachsbun got me through some tough spots.
Gyarados is not the best Flying-type. Not even by a mile. If it was, it would have some good Flying-type STAB, but it doesn't. Pokémon like Corviknight or Kilowattrel do its job much better.
Other than that, every other Pokémon here makes sense in some way or another.
Happy to see Garganacl on this list. I had a Garganacl on my first only playthrough team in Scarlet and boy is that thing a tank. I remember using it against Great Tusk and that thing was tanking those hits like a champ. It wound up being the mon I used to defeat Bombadier, Great Tusk, and Dondozo.
Dances in having 5/6 team members show up in this list
(Meowscarada, Grafaiai, Ceruledge, Cetitan, and Tinkaton)
Haha I had 3 of these meowscarda cetitan and cerluedge
It’s a shame Wugtrio is unable to earn the title of Best Water-type for SV, but I can understand why. 😔
So glad Mabosstiff was on this list, he's such a good boy!! Definitely one of my all time favourites behind Zangoose, Typhlosion and Braviary
Zangoose is the best false swipe pokemon catcher of all time!
LETS GO !!! I was hoping you'd make a video/videos like this
It's pronounced Ar-ma-rooj on account of armor/armament and rouge being french for red. This naming scheme is reflected through Ceruledge; cerulean (blue) edge (blade)
Exactly. And pronunciation should be Cerul-edge and not Ceru-ledge like he's been saying. Drives me crazy
It hurts me so much.
How do you pronounce the rooj? Roo-jay?
@@corygibson4764 Roozh
@@corygibson4764 Like Rouge from Sonis
Greedaint is also an amazing option if your looking for a defensive wall especially since you can catch its previous form early game. With access to moves like stockpile and rest and body slam to cripple opponents and two amazing abilities in the form of stuffed cheeks and gluttony plus pure normal typing gives you an incredible defensive wall with great utility.
Best psychic type gardivoir, Best fairy type gardivoir, Best water type..... terra gardivoir, Best fire type, that's right terra gardivoir
I honestly believe that palafin is a better water type just because of how busted his stats are from zero to hero, yes his evolution method is horrible, but you can probably win every fight with this Pokémon alone
Quaquaval is a capoeira dancer like eddy gordo from tekken and I love it lol also mixed with the Mardi Gras dancer look is amazing lol his signature move says everything. 😄 like if you just figured that out too.
In terms of ghost types for scarlet players (Since Ceruledge is violet exclusive), I recommend houndstone, but you can always go for gholdengo if you prefer it's good as gold ability
This man umbreon just banging out videos left and right! Thank you sir merry xmas!
MysticUmbreon has carried me through scarlet and violet
Love the video and keep up the great work
Gyarados is my fith fav pokemon of all time and I used it in scarlet walkthrough. Good time as always. But when I made my list for strongest of every type in this game I decided gyarados can't be my fav flying type since it does not use any flying type moves. Strongest flying type should use flying type moves
Does Mystic not know how to say rouge or does he read it as rogue when he says Armarouge?
I'm surprised he didn't mention the hidden abilities of the starters. Unaware on Skeledirge and moxie on Quaquaval are OP.
You probably won't get them during a playthrough that's why
@@edwarddanza5468 tell that to my unaware Skeledirge and moxie Quaquaval
You probably got very lucky then to get the hidden abilities.
Also Palafin is definitely the best water type instead of quaquval.
I farmed ability patches. Anyone can do it once they get far enough. I have protean on meowscarada but it's worse than overgrow now.
Annihilape was really fun to use. Swept the Champion and subsequent Nemona fight with them alone.
I don't look stuff up on the internet in my first playthrough... So I missed him on most of my game. Wish I woulda known early on how to evolve it, cuz I would have DEF used it!
I feel like picking the starters for each of their respective types isn't exactly fair for a list like this that emphasizes the in-game playthrough. You are only going to have ONE starter for your playthrough unless you can swap with friends or pull lucky surprise trades, so it isn't exactly helpful to say "Well all the starters are good." For example, I took Quaxly as my starter and felt kind of gimped in the sense that good water types were very plentiful in the early game (hello, Azumarill), but I struggled to find a good grass (sorry, Hoppip.) Doesn't make Quaquaval bad by any means, but it does affect your thinking for an in-game playthrough. Similarly with Skeledirge, you can get Charcadet (and therefore Armarouge/Ceruledge) very early to cover your fire type.
TL;DR- I probably would have only put Meowscarada as the top grass for a playthrough, and picked a different water and fire.
Agree with the azumarill pick Maril evolves to azumarill so early it's kinda broken for the early and mid game and a solid choice into the late game
I have to disagree with Gyrados bring the best "flying" options since the only flying move it gets is bounce I think a Pokemon like Kilowattral fits the bill better since it gets some decent flying moves and has base 105 in both Special Attack and Speed. It also doesn't have the 4x weakness to electric Gyrados has. No disrespect to Gyrados it's a great water type with good coverage and stats but not so much a great flying option. That's just my opinion though and I agree with all the others on the list. I hope you keep making videos mystic I enjoy them a lot and Merry Christmas.
I still think that it’ll be better to have Krookodile than Mabosstiff since krookodile does learn great stab moves early on such as dig and crunch before level 30 and it’s final evolution is not that long of a wait as other dark type options and it’s extra ground typing will will help players out a lot more in the game
It's a tricky one to get.. you could even miss it if you're not careful! But I agree, I don't think I've ever seen such a perfect setup for "power trip".
My take on the strongest of every type in Gen 9:
Fire - Chi-Yu or Skeledirge
Water - Palafin or Walking Wake
Electric - Miraidon
Ice - Iron Bundle
Ghost - Flutter Mane or Dragapult
Grass - Meowscarada
Dark - Roaring Moon or Treasures of Ruin
Dragon - Koraidon or Miraidon
Normal - Cyclizar
Fighting - Annihilape
Fairy - Azumarill or Tinkaton
Flying - Charizard or Iron Jugulis
Rock - Iron Thorns
Steel - Tinkaton
Poison - Clodsire
Ground - Ting Lu or Great Tusk
Psychic - Iron Leaves
Bug - Heracross or Scizor
Normal type : Grafai when Maushold exist
I wonder if Revival Blessing will have any impact on Nuzlocke rules x3
Garganacl, kilowattrel, clodsire, tinkaton, scovillain, ceruledge, and a bulky (hp and sp def) annihilape were my “early” paldea MVPs.
Pawmot was strong as hell bc he can reach final evo super early, but fell off as soon as I got the frankly busted kilowattrel.
Baxcalibur is also really insane-loaded dice with icicle spear and scale shot. But it’s so late (lvl 54 I think) she wasn’t an MVP.
MysticUmbreon releases a video and I once again start swapping my team around, you could set a clock to the consistency of these events
I swear to God, if I see Gardevoir in the psychic and fairy type, I'm gonna lose it.
i think for electric you can also pick toxtricity for sure
Imagine if there were more variations of burn up and double shock at this point for the other types. Never thought about the terra type allowing these moves to be spammed and abused. I also doubt they ever patch that and will just accept it as a byproduct of this generation haha
What’s burn up do?
@@JaelinBezel it's a massive damage fire move that removes the fire typing from a pokemon once used.
Rabsca is an amazing bug type! One of my fave Pokémon over my play through so strong 💪🏻
Rabsca is a pokemon most people will just ignore, not realizing how useful it is. Is one of the best pokemon for double battles online, it has telepathy to avoid your teammates attacks that hit anyone. Access to trickroom, revival blessing.
Best/Favorite/Awesome Pokemon in Scarlet/Violet my list:
Grass- Tsareena/Meowscarada
Water- Gyarados/Clawitzer
Fire- Arcanine
Electric- Pawmot/Luxray
Normal- Cyclizar
Poison- Gengar
Fighting- Annihilape
Flying- Dragonite/Staraptor/Bravairy
Ground- Iron Treads/Clodsire
Psychic- Armarouge
Ghost- Ceruledge
Rock- Garganacl
Ice- Baxcalibur
Bug- Scizor/Volcarona
Dragon- Garchomp my love
Dark- Kingambit/Houndoom/Weavile
Steel- Gholdengo/Magnezone
Fairy- Gardevoir/Tinkaton
Some very good and interesting choices and while ceruledge is a great ghost type, as a violet exclusive I think it should have been a runner up. Though we already have 2 ghost types on the list but I feel a 2nd option should have been included.
For bug type compound eyes vivilian should have been the top pick.
Vivilian could have also been the flying type as well. I love gyarados, but it again fails to have enough usable moves of any type to be the menace it should have been.
For dark type I have to go with kingambit. An offensive and defensive threat that can take advantage of several weaknesses.
Glad to know the dark type has a good boi as it's best.
I had the feeling, that Clodsire will be the next troll, after Clefable and Gardevoir😅😅😅
You can actually get a great tusk or iron treads before beating the game. You can catch the lv 45 former titan great tusk or iron treads after you have beaten them in the area you fought them in.
Are those spreadsheets/graphics you used in game available to all and where might I be able to find them. I'm new to pokemon violet and would like those graphics to better prepare for gym bosses?
I got Meowscrada and Dacshbun, and also Lycanroc in my team so they're all awesome Pokemon in the game 2
Hi i really need your help i went trough colecting all of the pokemon u named in this video amd started leveling them up only problem i dont know which moves a best to choose for every singe pokemon in your list
I destroyed Brassius post game with a level 62 Gengar haha.
All his Pokémon were at lv 65 and I got all of them with a 1HKO except Trueleewoodo (lol) thanks to sturdy. Sludge bomb for the win.
Wish you kept it to gen 9 only. I am trying to finish the game with only new mons but Gardevoir is making it hard lol. Her stats and move set literally sweeps through everything
Think it was a cop out saying Gyarados being the best flying type. Corviknight and Kilowattrel are fantastic!
I love the bugs in this game...spidops is questionable though. Love Vivillon ❤️
Is it possible to make a best Pokémon team for endgame Tera raids?
For grass, fire and water, i will keep the starters. As good as skeledirge is for the whole victory road line, i have had good times quaquaval in scarlet usually cuz i always try the water starter with every new pokémon game. i did use skeledirge for violet but when i got the dlc for violet (and yes i have it for scarlet too) i did a whole new run on violet with meowscarada and i love it. for electric, i’m sticking with luxray for the flying titan, the dark coverage for tulip with moves like crunch. Psychic for me is hands down Gardevoir, my ground option is always Garchomp, Lycanroc for my rock type, fighting is always lucario, ice is baxcalibur, dark type is krookodile (i mean come on, he’s one of the best dark types lol), for the dragon type i like noivern (because it is easier to evolve than dragonite), flying type will always be staraptor, fairy is sylveon, steel is kingambit, ghost type is ceruledge. as for the rest of the typings, i haven’t really tried some like poison but oh well. this is just what i have seen.
I’d say Belibolt is light years ahead of pawmot. I had a pawmot and literally had to switch it for him 🤣
It's ROUGE as in the Sonic character. Rouge is also another word for RED. It's not Rogue.
Bro why did firgraif not win at least normal type 😭
Me seeing cyclizar as best dragon type: "alright time for me to click off this vid"
While I definitely agree with Meowscarada and Quaquaval, best fire typing could also be argued with Armarouge/Ceruledge imo.
Cool but still waiting for Meowscarda best team.
I have a question : who's better , the grass cat (starter) or the decidueye from pokemon arceus ? I'm using 2 of the starters in violet but the decidueye from pokemon:arceus
I think the best Pokemon of each types are Fire type Skelidirge Water type Quaqaval Grass type Meowscarada Electric type Pawmot Flying type Kilowatrel Ice type Citatian Rock type Garganacl Ground type Gastrodon Bug type Heracross Poison type Clodsire Psychic type Armarouge Ghost type Ceruedge Normal type Grafiai Fighting type Annihilape Dragon type Cyclizar Steel type Tinkaton Fairy type Gardevoir.
I wish scovillian got more love in this game
Ahhhhhh world champ diff Wolfe glicks video betta
I always tend to forget that Gyrados is a flying type because he doesn't really have a lot of flying moves.
exactly so i dont think he should have beeen a choice when u have staraptor talonflame and corviknight
@@angeloflight93 Corviknight is a very good Flying type because bulk, Body Press, superior typing. I am also fan of the new Flamigo though.. Fighting Flying..
Wait i can only have one starter so what would be the best non starter grass fire and water
You should do it but not including starters or at least include a honorable mention!
Guessing he didn't pick Gholdengo for both ghost and steel is well, how you evolve it
So Gyarados is the best flying type but i don't hear a single thing why it's a good flying type option. Only the water and coverage options
Oaaaf gotta say the GOAT Palifin is the best water. Although level 38 and its annoying evolve method is a bit of a hit.
Question once again, (sorry for annoyance) when will you upload the video: “best team meowscarada edition”?
He only put up Best Team Quaquaval Edition like, yesterday. It'll probably be a day or two.
I mean realistically you can kinda put together any team and will be fine lol
I love adrenaline orb guard dig mabosstiff
I'm definitely not sick of hearing about Gardevoir... that's my favorite Pokemon!
Same but I think Armarouge is way better as a psychic type with a better psychic move pool especially since gardevoir gets more usage with its fairy typing attacks
@@cj4ev3r26 Also Hatterene has better physical defense than both Gardevoir and my other Raid favorite Azumarill.
@@jksplays_gvo I just got my hatterene to level 100 🤭 thinking about using her for trick room set ups
@@cj4ev3r26 And I did exactly that just now after catching a shiny Hatenna earlier today. About to do that with the Armarouge that was traded to me a few weeks ago since I mainly play Violet.
Mystic, it's Arma-ROUGE not Arma-ROGUE. Rouge is a red color with its counterpart, Ceruledge, has cerul, a blue color, in its name
Rabsca gets revival blessing
Gyarados is certainly strong as a Water type, but uh... What Flying type move can it use?
Well there are many underrated pokemon I could list. Pretty much most Stone evolution is amazing due to how easy is to get most items at any time. Also the titans are excelent due to their semi perfect ivs. There are many I could list, but I Rather Just tell you to use the pokemon that give you the most fun, the game is was made to be beaten so Just choose who you want, its pokemon not dark souls we are talking about, of course competitive pokemon is a whole other story
I personally would put baxcalibur as the best dragon type in my opinion. Plus its a pseudo-legendary pokemon.
Gyarados still has no stab physical flying move
Yeah....time to update your list things have changed one year later
My original team was Quakaval, Meowscarada, Charizard, Gengar, Gardevoir, & Luxray
Cyclizar beat Garchomp, salamence, and dragapult? Interesting
This list is interesting...
I love Gyarados but as a flying type? It can only use Hurricane but has a low special attack
The only downsides to the charcadet line are
They’re version exclusive evolutions, if you want ceruledge but have scarlet, better hope someone trades you one.
Their hidden ability is one of the worst in the game.
Why every gym leader keeps taking out the moves let them have the 4 moves
Is charizard or skeledirge better
Sad that lokix isn’t on the list ;~;
Bro Really said Iron tusk when its iron trends 😂😂😂
About ghosts.. No love for dragapult? :( My dragapult destroys annihilape and skeledirge
