What a stunning model. And it sounds vicious and angry . I believe it is a C.A.R.F. model and it is a testament to C.A.R.F.’s legendary quality & craftsmanship as that much power and speed put incredible forces on a airframe . Great job to all involved , been in the RC industry for 25+ years and that model absolutely takes the top spot in my humble opinion. Absolutely jaw dropping !!!
And a million thanks for allowing us to heard the plane, without any music.
Kinda eerie seeing this fly, after the accident at Reno
Just for your information. The Rc model of the Galloping Ghost was built before the disaster of its crash at Reno.
Here is the video I've done in June 2011 ruclips.net/video/5PnJkBl0Ql8/видео.html
... and in September 2011 ... ruclips.net/video/cfLO3lRRLEU/видео.html
Oh my Horst - what a treat. The sound signature is once again the absolute delight to the ears... fast and loud :)
Watching that beauty made my day. Thanks Horst.
Thank you for your kind words, Chris!
*Happy New Year* 🍀🍷
Dont we love airplane noise? Wonderful job all around. That thing is a Screaming Eagle!
_Thank you for your great comments._ 👍😎
TURN IT UP!!!!! OMG that sound is INSANE! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One of the best fly-by videos EVER!
That's got to be one of the coolest things I've ever seen, or heard! The 51 is my favorite war bird from WW 2. Have never heard an RC plane sound so much like the real thing! Wicked!!!
I thought my cup of coffee was an eye opener? This is even better! The sound of the 4 stroke engine on that Aircraft is better than a "CUP OF CAFFEINE!"
_Thank you for your great comment. Much appreciated !!!_
My all time favorite rc plane. Great vid. Thanks.
_Thanks Bill. Much appreciated !_ 👍😉
so lovely friend really nice
Thanks for visiting
Glad to see it didn’t go down like the1:1 ,,,, beautiful and amazing, thanks
_This one hasn't trimming elevators._ 😉👍
Thank you for watching and commenting. 😎
Flirting skills were impressive!!! Plane was even better
Many thanks for posting this, a veritable treat to the ears, and as always wonderfully videoed and edited, Happy New Year to you Horst, Chris B.
_Thank you for your kind words, Chris. Much appreciated._
*Happy New Year* 🍀🍾🍷😉
Wonderful plane with an awesome sound. Thanks for sharing!!
_Thank you for watchting and commenting. Much appreciated !_ 👍😉
When your RC plane sounds better than the hybrid you drive...
Pardon my language, but that is one helluva rc plane!
*_THANKS !_* 👍😉
Om nom those engine sounds!
Mister Kolm made something right. More!
Absolutely remarkable aircraft.
Nerves of steel to fly that thing.
Lovely.
These few people, who click "unlike" must be stupid. Beautiful model and great flight !
Maybe just envious 😂
@@RCScaleAirplanes probably... ;)
the flyby at 4:00 remembers me the podracers of star wars... really good!!
_Thank you for watching and commenting._ 👍😉
The Kolm is the most powerful, authentic sounding RC warbird engine in the world! Paired with an airframe like the Galloping Ghost and pilot like Horst, it is an awe inspiring combination!
Sounds nothing like a full scale mustang.
Bully good performance and execution. Great sound too.
_Thank you for the compliment, Dale. Much appreciated !_ 👍😉
wow Fantastic... Great plane .. Just love the sound of the power as it climbs .. or when it does a fly-by.. Great video.. Thumbs up.. :P
_Thank you for your kind comment._ 👍😉
Beautiful! Nothing like the last second to lower the undercarriage though!!😎
_Thank you for watching and commenting. Much appreciated._ 👍😎
Great sound‼️
My favorite model! Hands down!
_Thank you for watchting and commenting. Much appreciated !_ 👍😉
That is absolutely brilliant.
*_THANKS !_* 👍😎
WOW , NO WORLDS . FANTASTIC VIDEO , PLANE AND PILOT . 3 IN 1 . COOL !!!
*_Thank you for your great comment_* 👍😉
Awesome looking, flying and of course sounding plane WOW! Expertly flown showing us its super performance by Otto! Excellent camerawork and video as always Horst! A sweet way to "Gallop" into the new flying year 2019! BIG thumbs up! Have a Happy and flying New Year my friend! Danke for sharing! Cheers!
Whoever built the engine and this plane has a especial place in Heaven😉
Thank you for your kind comment. Btw. The engine is built by my friend.
_please have a look at the video description for the complete model data_
Top notch flying skills.
Thanks. Glad you liked it !!!
Good thing that thing held together and did not crash into the crowd!
I think I woulda been a lil bit concerned given the history
Luckily it's made by German engineering and therefore without technical failure ;)
Thank you, awesome!
_THANKS !!!_ 👍😎
Hermoso sonido de motor! Hermoso vuelo! Gracias
They regularly fly This Noise in Germany. Those and Moki's. Love it!
In Germany there was a TV show called "Die Modellbauer" where this team competed back then building the Galloping ghost.
Flying is for real women and men ... thank you from my heart ! Note : Otto's wife hold all four corner of the they house and Otto only garage with related models , tools and electronics., .. alo ...Bravo for flying.
_Thank you for your kind words, Josip._
*Happy New Year* 🍀🍷🍾
that is gorgeous! sounds amazing as well!
looks to be very well balanced too..most of the p-51's i see look tail heavy no matter the weight distribution
The original "Galloping Ghost" should have never been more than a toy airplane. It was no longer a P - 51 Mustang. It had been modified beyond all recognition. Otto isn't going to get killed flying this version and he's not going to kill anyone else. Unlike it's name sake.
Super cool sounding!!!
_Thanks for watching and commenting._ 👍😎
Off we go!... Into the wild blue yonder! Flying high into the sky!
FTR, it's galloping.
One of the few models I went to check the end of the video first, to see if it landed safely, before watching it, just in case...!
Wow 😲 That thing is insane. What an awesome bird👍🏻👍🏻🙃🙃
The Galloping Ghost...Such a wonderful model! But shit man, I'll never forget the crash,, none of us will I suppose.
What a sound!!!!
Coooool sounds gave me chills ♫ Fantastic !!!
Beautiful plane !
It sure is!
what a beautiful sound!!!!!!
Brilliant!
Beautiful inspires me to buy a RC plane
Go for it! 🤙😎
I am in love with this I model
Its awesome engine sound 👍👍👍
Coolest RC plane i've ever seen or heard! I keep seeing comments about a crash. I'm assuming this is the second one you have had and how did it crash?
Thanks. Here is the crash back in 2012 >>> ruclips.net/video/vHHdhbAJxT8/видео.html
Jeez us! That thing is sounds mad as hell!
_Thanks !!!_ 👍😎
That is a beast.
Excelente video!!!
I'd really like to have that plane ❤
You can order it at *_Carf Models_*
carf-models.com/de/products/p-51_reno_racer
@John Doe for $3000 you will even not get the engine 😂
More like 13k haha😢
Good God that thing moves!
Nice looking and great sound. How fast does it go
The announcer said 230 i believe
Hello! i love your videos! continue it! plez heart
_Thank you Adrian._ 👍
I'll do my very best 😎
Huh? A seven foot wing span and a 54 pound plane? This plane is all engine. Amazing.
_That's the way to be fast and loud._ 😉👍
Bonjour Horst,
From the outset we can see the power of this nice model and his great sound.
Thank you and congratulations for the quality of your video editing.
*A nice and good New Year's Eve to all*
Cheers, Christian.
_Hello Christian_
Thank you for your kind words.
*Happy New Year to you and yours* 🍀🍾🍷😉
As part of your demo flight do you re-enact the moment the plane killed 11 people at Reno?
what is the prop size and brand? not mencioned on the description.. thanks
Jolly molly that thing moves😳
I'm looking for this mustang to buy. If anyone knows, please send the link.
The one shown in the video is a modified P-51 Warbird
*_here you can purchase the air racer >>>_* carf-models.com/en/products/p-51_reno_racer/region/1
На самолёт с таким небольшим размахом крыла поставили такой объемный тяжёлый двигатель...какая же вышла нагрузка на крыло?! Летающий кирпич прям
How much faster would this plane in it’s actual size than the P 51 Mustang of World War II?
Bad ass!
Love your content. What camera do you use for your footage?
Thanks. _Mostly SONY HXR-NX70_
RCScaleAirplanes sweet. Any issues ever with auto focus going in and out? Or do you set it to infinity
@@RedDevilSquadron Focus set on auto. SONY has a good focusing, but once it lost the object, it takes a while for refocusing.
I'm also using the SONY AX55, which is a great camera too.
When its so load the annoucer is both jealous and cant speak thats perfect
LOL .... YEAH 🤙😎
Absolutely awesome
_thank you !_ 👍😉
g damn! i think thats the badest rc plane i have ever seen or heard! And he isnt afraid to fly it hard..
4:00 when the engine was fitted on a same sized RC Focke Wulf FW-190
Geile Kiste
Jo. Danke fürs Anschauen und Kommentieren. Die GHOST fliegt jetzt irgendwo bei den Scheichs.
This would scare the shit out of the enemy even on modern battlefields.
NICE
*_THANKS_* 👍😎
It just doesn't get any better than this does it?
Impressive, imagine what it could do with a 4 prop blade...
Wouldnt be faster than 2. Sound better im sure but half the speed.
Ripslinger
Please show the engine.
Is it Kolm?
Yes
Grata plane!!! But bad link propeller...
_Thanks_ 👍😎
Now the link to the propeller works. SORRY 😉
i started clapping too and was like wait a minute
Donno about 240mph, swoops and sounds faster than the real P51?,....Regards!
is there a new galloping ghost since the crash?
What crash?
@@RCScaleAirplanes this one en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Reno_Air_Races_crash
If that was a joke it was a bad one. I go to the Reno races.
@@billpope2111 no, it wasnt. i didnt know it had that big of an influence that people would still be making models of it 8 years after it crashed, i thought they had built another one.
first time i heard of it, i stumbled across a video of the crash and the second time was me googling it 2 hours ago to see if i had the right name. i am not into air racing. i did not mean to cause any offense because i know 11 people died and it's tragic

4:18. The plane in the background got disrupted by wake turbulence.
Only two bladed prop? 🤨🤔
77Avadon77 ... That's what I was thinking during the start up. The take off washed away any concerns about performance.
As an aside, the P-47 Thunderbolt was a decent performer with a three bladed prop. When equipped with four blades, it became a climbing monster.
all about performance....
Don't push that left trim tab too much.
What a tragic story behind this bird...nice to see it though
That sound 😆😆😆
Awesome😀😀
No no....no way!!###
Fastest RC plane spends most of it's time in a dive to reach said speeds.
Thats not at all true.
Dynamic soaring and a carbon composite glider holds the current record of 500mph and the record holder is shooting for breaking the sound barrier soon.
Theres no engine in a dynamuc soaring glider.
Definitely not in a dive most of the time.
My Nemesis 52 is clocked often at 145 in a straight line on a runway longer than 3 football fields.
For me it would look better as a Mustang
It is a mustang.
It was a long time ago, I meant the vanilla WW2 Mustang, not an Air Racing modification of it. Just look at that
canopy
That's one angry sounding bee.
👍😉
cool engineering but put it in another airframe. too creepy after Reno
Mis à part le son du moteur, rien d'extraordinaire dans ce vol.... toujours plein gaz du début à la fin, et des low pass à fond la caisse, on ne voit jamais rien d'autre en vol avec ce type de warbird. Donc...pas si attractif que ça.
