for me Tifa is the most fun character to play. I don't think she'll ever be leaving my party throughout the game. :D thank you for this concise overview of her combat!
Same for me I love a playstyle she is actually broken her con (low hp/squishy) are not really a con if you controlled her...... And put one hp materia after hell get lose if I staggered an enemy he is dead....
I'm sure it will - this seems like more of Remake even better. I would be pretty upset if they removed True Strike. I may make an advanced guide later on after I play (and learn) the full game.

Focused Strike got nerfed as it no longer refunds ATB on hit unless you evade an enemy attack with it. Pretty huge nerf considering the crazy things you could do with it in the last game

Neither cloud nor tifa do that in rebirth which i think adds a little more to the skill ceiling. I imagine they removed that entirely as it was janky, and replaced it with rebirth air combat.

Aerith doesn’t do any fighting skills only except magic user Sadly if without her wands she’s really helpless. that’s why Tifa is the best girl in FF7 she can use physically fighting skills and you can used the material for her to used magic too. that’s awesome.

I feel like i remember in remake Dive kick could be performed in the air, but in rebirth, if youre in the air and cast divekick, she goes down to the ground first, which means you cant use on flying enemies, ehich sucks because its such a strong attack.
not sure about anyone else but that junon boss was annoying ass hell water bubble and grabbing you every 10 secs was fuel raging also guess im got to learn to fight in rebirth in remake i mainly button mashed to kill stuff with odd magic
So I've been playing a ton of Monster Hunter World for the first time leading up to this demo and I haven't played Remake in 10 months so I was very rusty. I died to that boss a lot. Then all of a sudden the game started to click with me like Remake once did and would take that boss with ease. My only suggestion is get some practice in the VR or save the game right before that boss and just reload. You'll be ready to go in time for the full release
Thanks for the videos, I didn't really understand the initial in game tutorial so I was mostly mashing square until the gauge filled up and then casting spells/abilities because I didn't really understand the combat system. It's frustrating when the game has a quick tool tip for a guide and you're like, what do you want me to do? How about have me practice doing it several times first or something so I understand other than just square is an attack and triangle does a thing.
Anytime and I did miss something very important which thankfully someone here in the comments mentioned so I pinned their comment. Using Unbridled Strength to increase your Chi Level also increases her evasion speed and increases her Basic Attack combo extending the combination of those attacks even further. My recommendation is to get max Chi quickly. Also, to increase the Enemy Stagger % from 160% to 215% you'll want to use Rise & Fall etc (Triangle). Those three moves increase the Damage Multiplier once they've been staggered.
I remember in the demo when in the air, you moved from one side of the field to the other really fast, was that by locking on and using ATB moves of was that something separate?
Would Avalanche Two-Step and Bestial Barrage not count as Synergy Abilities? Barret and Tifa team up to take down an enemy for an attack power boost / staggered time extension for the Avalanche Two-Step. Bestial Barrage allows Tifa and Red to unleash a ferocious fist-and-fang combo that contributes to a Limit Level Increase.
No synergy materia required. Everyone has Synergy Skills as part of their kit in Rebirth. This is not to be confused with Synergy Abilities as those have a cost (Pips). As for materia, this is just the demo and the full game will have so much more. I would hate to put it in another 6 to 7 hours of editing for really no reason at all. For now I'll stick with the combat guides, boss guides and perhaps a few others that I already feel that I can speak to.
This game is so unfair at times. Titan was very challenging but somewhat doable however phoenix broke me so hard, i just got my party whiped out by two random birds flying around a world tower. I eighter can’t play anymore or there is a gigantic difficulty spike. You can’t do this to a grown man 🤦.
Yeah when you don't have certain materia it's very difficult. I finally took down Phoenix last night (March 2) and I didn't have the following Materia: Synergy, Magnify, Raise etc. Aerith doesn't have Radiant Ward yet either. It was tough without these tools but managed to take it down.
She's not nerfed at all. She's badass. However, the one change they made that I don't like but understand is she no longer jumps into the air on her own anymore like in Remake. She now relies on Synergy Skills. Wasn't a fan of that change but I adapted and it's fine.
@OxfordKing You can use the gale move thing to go in the air too. I assume you'll get that move early ingame also. But the nerf I mean is the Ki/Chakra stuff. Before, it wasn't dependant on ATB.

Also as it didn’t seem that you mentioned clearly the higher your unbridled strength level the more combos are added to Tifas regular attacks.

Yeah, focus strike carried me thru hard mode. Tifa was broken as hell.

Tifa and Cloud are my 2 favorites in Rebirth hands down. They have excellent mobility both on the ground and in the air.
