I just mapped Chrono Aegis to Square, Radiant to Triangle, Arcane to Circle, Lustrous Shield to X. Give her a First Strike, and Time. Go in order from Square, Triangle, Circle, to X. As soon as battle start, you have one bar cast Chrono Aegis, to stop all enemies, Radiant to boost attacks and ATB, Arcane to cast Spells. Destroys everything.
This was very helpful. Got me through the first round of legendary with minor alterations. Still trying to get past second round, but at least I have a base
Bodyguard skill is great when you want to called party member to cast magic inside the Arcane Ward. I was struggling to keep my party member in the ward before XD
@@blazenben I assume against certain boss attacks or kill spells/abilities it won't work because it blocks damage, not things like status effects/possibly fixed damage such as gravity type magic
I'm not sure if you forgot or just haven't seen it yet, but Radiant Ward's damage immunity doesn't protect you from attacks that include a knockback/knockdown state, such as Phoenix's Incandescent Burst. It will still block the damage, but if your cast hasn't finished, the knockback/down will interrupt it and waste the ATB you used for that cast.
I was on hour #8 with this whole video and went to bed at 8:30am from all the work. Doing these solo so I'll miss something. Glad there are people like you that drop comments on extra tips though. It helps everyone out so thanks again 👍
Guys I just tested it. Sadly I was wrong. Sometimes when you use body guard a few moments before the hit, the IA will unblock and then block again, nullifying the damage and give a boost to the partner it’s now in our control. BUT yes, using red as your body guard will raise his vengeance mode really quick. It’s a great partner to have while playing Aerith.
Yeah I tried to capture that recording but this was already taking me 7 hours in total to make and I went to bed at 8:30am from all the work on this lol I had to accept what I had. I'll try to cover this again in the Red XIII guide if I remember to. Thanks again for the support on these guides 👍
She was insanely strong in Remake, too, just had slow movement. ATB Ward, Arcane Ward combos and Ray of Judgment are all just as ridiculous as Tifa in Remake.
She can cheese the game. Synergy and Comet, double free cast of an expensive powerful spell at the cost of someone else’s ATB? Yes please. Maybe she is the secret powerhouse cheese so you’ll miss her.
Thank you for this video. I just got to Junon, and I've been playing with all the characters, and they all feel pretty good except Aerith. She felt super off, and I knew I was just missing something with her playstyle.
Yeah I just got to the Marching Scene and Aerith me so far feels off - I still don't have Radiant Ward and Synergy Materia etc. She is a little clunky at the moment but I know she gets better as you can tell in this video. Hope you're enjoying the game so far.
II have first strike and atb boost on Aerith and at the start of combat I have her do arcane + radiant ward. She has synergy with comet which has a long cast time so when im spamming attacks with yuffie/cloud and generating atb like a psycho, Aerith is almost completely in a state of invulnerability as she rains comets all over the field. Its absolutely chaos lmao
I have used both wards separately all this time for the benefit that i can warp myself to safety if enemies are headed my way. Like some whack a mole 😅
Yeah Comet and Synergy is bananas - only downside is the Cast Time - I find myself using Petrify a lot more due to faster cast time but watching the comets go everywhere is hilarious and awesome.
My tip here is to have her cast manually so that she is positioned on the Ward and then switch over to someone else for the Offensive Ability Synergy Cast that way she stays put - sadly, she still has that issue from FF7 Remake where she likes to run around.
Came here wanting to know what her level 3 limit does. Also, does planetary protection nullify both physical and magic damage? I'm on the notion that it only nullifies physical thus I seldom use it, usually use her level one for a burst heal in emergencies.
Hey yeah sorry this was from the Demo when I captured this - but to answer your question: ✅Radiant Ward is an attached skill of the Empress's Scepter ✅Aerith's Empress's Scepter can be acquired by opening the wooden Treasure Chest with purple lights located in the third bedroom on the first floor of the Under Junon Inn. Access to this spot is available during the Chapter 4 Main Scenario Quest, A Stranger's Voice."
I really need help here, when I hold square and fully charge tempest, a familiar does NOT come. Do I need a specific weapon or skill, or some kind of unluck to get it to work? Thanks!
Hey there, it does not matter which weapon you use - this is a basic attack function - try hold down square longer until you see her animation sit there a bit while charging then release. You will see a small pink butterfly auto attack right after that.
Some of it does. She doesn't have Radiant Ward nor Warping in Remake. The fleeting familiar also works slightly differently in Remake. There are no Synergy Skills and Synergy Abilities in Remake either.
Did you inherit the ability from the weapon? Only thing I can think of is maybe you swapped weapons before filling the proficiency bar for arcane ward or it requires more atb bars than you have at that moment.
@@oxfordking Glad to know, its always the explosive projectiles that get me. Also don't worry too much about what I said, it was just an idea that I had considering how popular the series is. I'm good as long as long as you will be able to stream it.
@@channelgoingthroughdevelop1668 I'll be streaming it on my 2nd channel & Twitch. This channel doesn't do well with Livestreams for some strange reason.

@@MrJammers Yeah its really cool once you figure it out - basically just cast it like a buff and wait for the Tier Level to hit Level 2 then use the Ability Again for devasting multi hit combo. It's almost a staple in the early rotation imho.

Exactly amazing.
Does it work against Phoenix rebirth

My gosh, I don’t know that and I almost 60% into the game and I’m alway play with her. Thank you for your tip, like all of your videos ❤

One thing to note! Radiant ward improves Aerith dodge to be much faster while within the ward!
How many more shit does this game not tell me.

Great basic guide, it’s very helpful 👍
Using body guard in the right moment can also nullify the damage your partner receives and gives him more ATB.
wow, I must practice that. It's broken
Red13 seems to be the best one to use this with since he benefits from blocking which raises his vengeance meter.

Finally made her very useful and kinda.....badass honestly.
Facts - she is a complete badass in Rebirth - I had a VERY hard time not selecting her in my party rotations. For me, she's a staple.

This is how I imagined the ward shift was designed :) nice nicee
Luscious shield is good to place on close combat character as a good offensive and defensive move you can also have multiple shields up at once
I'll be updating all of these videos soon with Advanced Versions - these were all before the game released.
This should have been explained in the game, unfortunately it isn’t. The description of radiant warf is not enough. Thanks dude

You can like another Petrify with magnifying for free aoe quakes. Shame you don't get another comet to add to swiftcast.
