We heard that TESLA has offered to replace the lawnmower engines with the TESLA Electric motors. That would be interesting and no more gas fumes... we enjoy riding the little cars. Yup, those peddles were no joke. I had to rescue a lot of kids who had a hard time stepping on the gas to get their cars to move (it was a ride along, I used to work at Autopia). "Enjoy your ride on Autopia and please do not bump tye cars in front of you"
Hot take: Autopia uses up a lot of real estate. Nix it for one or two better attractions. Especially now that it has this awful, bland Asimo overlay. It’s terrible.
They should replace the cars on autopia. They're so old and outdated. I took my niece to Disneyland 2 years ago in June. My niece asked me if we can go to the autopia ride and then she backed out when she saw a very long line. I will never take my niece to anymore amusement parks. She doesn't like riding on thrill rides and she hates dealing with long lines.
Autopia ride at Disneyland was very boring and underwhelming and needs to be retired and rethemed to Sugar Rush go kart. To the Disneyland guests and billisa, I have recently been to Disneyland even in 2014 and when I went on the Autopia ride. I was very bored and here's why. First of all, I can get a much better experience driving a car fast in the parking lot. Also, I can get a ride on the highway and freeway and even in towns with more scenery. The car ride in Autopia is not surprising slow. But the cars and the scenery is very boring and okay because all you see are palm trees, trees and light poles that's it and it really shows its age. If I were to retheme a ride at Disneyland one of the first rides would likely be Autopia and change it to Sugar Rush from the movie Wreck it Ralph, I would first change the scenery and make it candy themed, I would have animatronic characters like Wreck it Ralph, Fix it Felix, Vanellope, Sargent Caulhorn, King Candy show up, there would also be the candy characters from the film. I would also have them play the memorable screen clips like Ralph as a candy monster, King Candy as Turbotastic. I would also change the look of the cars to have them look like the candy themed cars and then I would also have songs like Sugar Rush, Shut Up and Drive, When Can I see you again playing in the background. Autopia at Disneyland I feel has had its day back in 1955. If I were in charge of the Disneyland Park (not likely to happen), I would retire Autopia and the vintage 1960s cars since this ride is more for middle age and older people age 60 and older crowd, and retheme it to Sugar Rush Go Kart rides. So it can be more appealing to the younger crowd around 5 to 20 years old and draw in more Disneyland customers. I can't wait for an announcement for Disneyland to retire Autopia to retheme it to either Meet the Robinsons ride or Wreck it Ralph ride. It's time for Disneyland to keep moving forward.
I love this ride so much but that stupid robot voice is grating beyond words. I honestly can't take it, so at least I can skip past the line on RUclips and enjoy the ride. Thanks.

I only went on the Autopia once after it was refurbished. I couldn't fit in the new cars because of my long legs.
