Good to see it in my backyard! I recognise much of that having driven those tracks in my 2008 Defender. A new one will be ordered shortly.

@@newdefendermods plenty of epic spots specially here in Scotland problem is you can see them and explore without any restrictions even camp for 3 days in spot but only on foot or bicycle and horse. You are not allowed do what you guys do in OZ or you car will be taken by police and disposal plus you will have heavy ticket and refusal of insurance in future which ultimately ban you from owning car. Almost whole Scotland land is own by private owners around 400 families and if you have they permission you are one lucky guy (it’s like winning in lotto). Basically this country is design for rich snobs… I am talking about Scotland I don’t know and not interested what England has (apparently they have green lines which you can drive on by 4x4 but total length will be 10 miles lol)
@@abazdarhon Hey there mate, very sorry to hear that, it doesnt sound good for sure, keep positive and do what you can. Its not how we are meant to live. See if you can get over here and do an around OZ trip in a 4x4..would need a year though!

Great vehicle, great driver. I have the 250 3ltr diesel and it is not modified as yours because I cannot afford it but it is extremely capable on and off road as it is.

I know the canning stock route is about 1800km.? This route looks very challenging but maybe not as long as the CSR (I don’t know). I think the Defender is a more capable vehicle than most people think, and it got bad press in the beginning because it wasn’t a classic Defender looking vehicle. I own a New Defender and a 110 Puma Heritage. How do you think the New Defender would perform on the Canning Stock route? According to most you must have solid axles and coil springs🙄
I think if you prepared right with the right fuel and water requirements and satellite phones, tyres and wheels it is very capable vehicle to undertake such a challenge
Great Video, just one small observation... most of your footage was taken in the central tablelands and not the blue mountains - again great footage and really enjoyed the defender doing it stuff..

Got one coming in June, can’t wait. Got the rear locker, keen to hear how much you need to use it, or if it’s kind of ‘set and forget’. Happy to see your website as exactly what have been looking for. That bull bar you have is a must for Aus. Is the stock backlog due to production bottlenecks or the shipping issues? Just curious and wishing you every success.
More stock in a week or so email us, rear locker can be selected when needed in Configerable mode 👍🏽
Could you modify it so the rear door swings up rather than to the side ?

What wheel and tyre combo have you got on the black defender and did you need to lift the car to fit them?
From our website, 2 inch subframe lift, cooler relocate, 34s, 18inch wheels etc

BFGoodrich Mud Terrain KM3, awesome tire but can be noisy

Not made in China, very tough. Depends on the engine, plenty of choices to suit various applications

Which tracks did you go on?
The first half was near Capper Tree past Newnes and the second half was in Lithgow on State Mine Gully Rd and found tracks off the road

We dont ever reccomend lift rods, you loose down travel and comfort, we run a subframe lift and on demand lift/drop elift system avail on newdefendermods.com

Yes we do, depends the mode you are in to how much slip etc
