    Deep down, I knew there was a better way to be doing my drop shadows. But as the years went on and I kept tediously drawing them in with the brush tool, it became more and more embarrassing to look up a solution. The good news is I sucked it up, watched this video, and will save myself so much time in the future. The bad news is I lost like five years of my life to absolutely WHACK drop shadows.

    • @BLTV_Photoshop

      If it's moving the layer more than 1 pixel, it may be due to your Shift key. Make sure the key isn't active.

    • @BLTV_Photoshop
      @BLTV_Photoshop  Год назад +1

      So sorry you're having this issue. Instead of merging them, you could also convert them into one Smart Object. Once all the shadow layers are active, click the icon at the upper, right of the Layers panel to open the fly-out list and click "Convert to Smart Object".

      @@BLTV_Photoshop Hi Marty, please accept my apologies, I have managed to do it, and it's working, I think I have discovered why I struggled so much, I have tremors in my hands and before merging, I have been catching the trackpad on my laptop, before shift and click. But, I've just managed to do it successfully now. Thank you. Is there any way I can reduce the size of the shadow though, as the shadow is too big. But again, I've managed to do it, the only part I couldn't do is to change the colour, but that doesn't really matter. 🙂
