It would really cool like the websites were you got the wallpapers and such…you’re doing a great job at interior designing 🫶🏻🫶🏻
Yes! Wallpaper source pleeeeeeze! ❤️

My dad was also the genre of dad who could whip up three pieces of furniture and fix your lighting before lunchtime. Treasure him :)
and if she learns from her dad she can be the type of person who can do those things too.
@@philtastic4 Not doing that is one of my biggest regrets! My Dad did EVERYTHING! I should have learned more.
I did ask him once why he taught my brothers how to sharpen kitchen knives with a whetstone, but he didn’t teach me. He said, “We thought you’d marry well.” 😳😳🥴
@@drummerlovesbookworm9738 Oooooofffffff
@@drummerlovesbookworm9738 In a weird twisted way that is a really sweet reply ☺
*kind of dad
Also it’s so wholesome

Your dad is a gem. Your botanical prints look great, too.
Her dad is proud.
Have him sign some of his work in a secret spot. 🥰
Let's appreciate dads and the amazing things they do. Way to go Karolina's Papa!!
Are there other great dads out there? I thought Karolina’s dad was an exception.
I genuinely want to regain trust in dads, I never had any potitive experience in that area …
@@RainbowSunshineRain I'm so sorry that yours let you down. That's really hard. I hope you find someone that earns your trust.
@@Adrienne557 Thank you 🙏 💕
"They were so cute, there was a dog." Nuff said.
Massive props to her dad for helping so much with his daughter's dream home ❤
For your wrinkled curtains, here’s what you can do: hang them up, as fully extended (closed, to reveal as much fabric) as possible, then use a clean household spray bottle and the hottest possible tap water to spray them lightly but thoroughly. Hold the spray bottle nozzle really close to the fabric so that the water doesn’t cool down as much (it will cool down somewhat anyway). Gently pull downward on the curtains by the hems several times, and the wrinkles will gradually fall out as they dry. (You might want to put a towel underneath, to protect your floors while spraying). I discovered this out of laziness, I have both an iron and a commercial steamer, and it works just as well on most clothes, too, unless a very crisp finish, like on a “classic linen shirt” is desired. The sprayed items not be perfect, but they will look much, much better than with the packing and shipping creases. Wrinkle-releasing sprays are a waste of money, they’re mostly water with a little fabric softener added, you could do that, too. Your hand might get tired by all the trigger-squeezing for the sprayer, I alternate hands if I have a lot to do!
don't forget that fabric softener is pretty flammable though! the hot spray water idea seems much better
or just steam them in the shower?
Oh, I gotta try this on the curtains my mum just sent me! Thanks for the tip :D
Yup. I have hung many curtains in my days and depending on (the weight of) the fabric.. sometimes it's enough to just hang them and give it a week or two. And when you wash them, just hang them while they are wet. I do have a steamer iron, but I'll always try to not use it ☺
she have washing machine, so just washing them and hanging as they are still wet should do the trick ;) especially if the fabric is thick and heavy, with lighter ones you may need probably some extra weight to pull it down
The green rolling pin is so nostalgic to me because my great grandma has almost the exact same pin and we're still using it in the family 🥹
Also I met a polish person the other day and asked them on the off chance if they watched you and they did so we had a lovely little chat and were just excited over your apartment. Just wanted to say thank you for bringing two total strangers together even if just in a little way 😊
that’s so cute!
My mom has one with red handles
this is my favorite series, i kinda hope it never ends, but also cannot wait to see the end result!:)

Przytulam mocno ❤🎉🎉🎉
This is looking INCREDIBLE!! It's like one of those well-maintained museums that are actually some important figure's appartment, but you're ACTUALLY LIVING IN IT!!! What a dream house!
Love how your new flat has such a character on its own, it looks almost like from another era, but still somewhat modern. For me it's the mirror over the chimney, your whole living room seems so cozy. Great job!
Can I just say I LOVED the built-in? As soon as you showed it, I thought "wallpaper! This needs wallpaper!" And you used it, and it turned out SO good! You're doing a great job, can't wait to see the final results!
5:56 do you want your eggs fried or scrambled?
Karolina: yes
(Edit: wood is very flexible so the baseboard situation *will* be okay! You’re doing amazing work!)
HOoRaY for Dads. Super sweet he was able to help you. Everything is looking good.
Long live all dads that help their daughters put their flat stuff and furniture together :D
Recovering the dining chairs is very simple. Turn them upside down. Unscrew the seat pads. Remove the old fabric. Staple the new fabric onto the chair pads. Screw the newly covered pads back onto the chair. Voila!
My mom had a rolling pin like that but the handles were red instead of green. I miss my mom, and now my dad too.
Beautifully decorated flat!
Oh my goodness, dear girl, I love your place! It’s just beautiful and charming and quirky and cozy! The colors are grand, and that toilet area - wow. Your dad is an angel and it just warms my heart to see him helping you! (Those windowsills are gorgeous!) A huge undertaking, and a very successful one! You are doing your 1930’s home proud!
Nie ma to jak polski tata-majsterkowicz! Mieszkanie wyglada pieknie. 🙂
I'm living vicariously through your apartment videos, I would love to have antique furniture someday, but I'm currently renting a room and living with roommates, so it's not an option for now.
yoooo the tiny sink in the toilet room is amazing. It's such a tiny space but I love how you put it together, it makes such good use of the space, and the tile and colors are fantastic!
This is so fun to get to see! How wonderful to have such a supportive and skilled Father! Mine is a lot like him, and helps me fix things for my house. I love how you use greens, and all this beautiful vintage furniture. I just love seeing how artistic people put together a home space.
The blue and white bathroom is my favourite. I also love that you are hunting for antique furniture.
Those armchairs and the cupboard are GORGEOUS, literally my dream style. I need you to buy a second home soon so I can watch you furnish that too
I know what you mean about the smell of wood (one of the secondary ancient elements, you know)! My dad, and his dad before him, and his dad before *him*, all did woodworking, though Dad only did it as an avocation. But the smell of freshly-cut or -sanded wood...it's wonderful!
I think I love these apartment renovation vids because they scratch that part of my brain of reno videos, design videos and my incredibly nosy desire to see peoples houses. Also the wall sconces are *chefs kiss* with that mirror.
I love how cozy the flat is looking! You can also tell how much joy you find it filling with the prints and other small bits 😊
19:10 You could dust the green with gold powder it would look so nice with that. The flat is getting its soul back, very comfy looking.
This apartment is going to feel like being inside a vintage jewellery box when it's done. 🥰
We love a handy dad. Your dad is adorable
The colors you chose are so vintage it's like going back in time. I really like the pastel green and your sofa
Loving your enthusiasm and how personal you are making you flat. 10/10 for Dads!! 🤗❤️
Museums use an earthquake proof putty for vases and smaller wall hanging items. Amazon has several varieties that don't damage walls. Try it for thatvintage kitchen thingey.
Wow. I cannot believe how similar our decorating choices are. My husband and I live on the west coast of Canada and recently bought a gorgeous, 1928, Arts and Crafts bungalow. For several of our rooms, we chose the exact green that you chose. Our living room walls are yellow, while the rug and some of the pillows are like your wallpaper. We also have an Art Deco sofa and chair, and put an Art Deco mirror over our fireplace. We have two, 1920s, credenzas, one in the bedroom, and one in my study. We plan to do our bathroom with similar wall tiling as yours, and to add cupboard door handles like yours on the original cupboards in our kitchen. I could go on and on, but you get the idea: our taste is almost identical. If you ever find yourself in Vancouver, look me up and I'll show you!
Karolina, I just want you to know how much your flat renovation videos make my day. Thanks for sharing the (long) journey with us!
Cooking with Karolina = me every time I step foot in the kitchen lol
I never know what to gift my mom (or anyone for that matter), but that hen egg holder would be _perfect_ now that she owns hens and always has eggs to store.
And also while I'm here I just wanna say this flat renovating series brings me so much happiness and comfort and is one of the only things that can hold my attention lately. At least mostly. More than most other things. (ADHD & anxiety & depression & dissociation tingz.)
Though I of course sympathize whenever things don't go your way, lol.
Architect (graduate student) here. You may be able to curve your baseboards. Uneven walls/floor is the most common old building problem.
I'm loving these renovation videos!
Instead of the super strong tape to hang your kitchen towel holder, get the Velcro style Command Strips. They come off easier and cleaner and wont damage your wall, plus with the velcro you have some wiggle room for adjustments, or can swap a new thing into its place. The real big-brain play is to get the larger ones and then cut them in half, put the tab side on the wall for damage free removal, and the other half on the item you're hanging. Makes the pack last a lot longer, since Command strips are not cheap.
My dad helped us hang our cabinets and half the first day was moving an outlet the electrician had put in the wrong place. If the baseboards are still an issue you should be able to scribe the shape of the wall onto the board and take some wood away so it fits. It looks awesome!
Ło matko, Pani! Tylko nie widelcem po teflonie!
(don't use metal utensils on your non-stick pans, kids)
Sama jesteś poteflon!
@@cailinscath finally, someone who understands!!! XD
Also got an IKEA mattress and can confirm they're really good, and so easy to transport as they're rolled up! I got a slightly more expensive one though as it had pocket springs and felt more comfortable haha
I live in Cornwall, UK and there isn't a single wall in my house that is straight. Some of the walls are 1m thick and made of granite so it is nearly impossible to hang anything on them.
Wow granite! Not even with an impact drill?
That new green looks so much better than the old one! It was so bright before!
The coffee table is gorgeous! Yes, leave it for now and see how you feel later. My grandmother, who was an interior designer, always said live with it and see how you feel later. Wise words because I end up loving what I did mostly after hating it lol.
I've been eagerly waiting this video since the last episode, I think I'm way too invested in this renovation lmao
That vanity! Oh my goodness! It's fantastic!
I was just thinking about you and your house today! That sounds creepier than I intended. Anyway. I love this series
I LOVE seeing these flat updates. Your design is turning out so beautifully, and the decor 😍 absolutley stunning aesthetic.
The vanity furniture piece is fantastic! I love the green paint color. I don't think it would change with a second coat. Check it out with lamps turned on with either warm or cool light bulbs to see the impact of the difference in light bulbs have on the wall paint color.
Love those prints in the olive felt/red frames..what a good find!
Oh my lord that vanity is SO beautiful
you can hide the washing machine behind a curtain on a string!
it was pretty common to use curtains instead of doors in old kitchens
I just LOVE the white on pink almost invisible headings.
I am loving watching this flat come together! All the jade greens and period details are so delightful. I think my favorite part is the fireplace wall! The way the mirror and the light fixtures on either side are the same shape? Flawless.
Pozdrawiam serdecznie wszystkich widzów życzę miłego wieczorku wszystkiego dobrego spokoju i radości 😊😊😊
You too!! 😃
Oh when we bought this house, the kitchen we insane, two renovations but both combined...I went with WHITE, and almost those exact knobs! I love the "Pull cup" ones. I didn't use them on all the cabinet doors (I also used them in my bathroom), but I just LOVE the pull cup style! Oh I bought my girl friend a purse made from the Strawberry Thief (from ETSY) and what a fabulous job the person did, such great cotton fabric and my friend loves it (I plan to order myself soon).
That William Morris wallpaper is a dream! Beautiful. I’m very jealous of your pretty flat.
While the vintage eras are certainly not my personal style, they really suit you perfectly, Meme Mom! I love when homes just perfectly encapsulate the person living in them. I hope to do that in my own home one day. And the eclecticism is fantastic, I always love just putting everything you like all over the place! ❤
Here's a tip, use the smallest bowl from the mixing bowl set to scramble your egg or just to check for shell pieces.
Your Dad is so talented! I love thé work he’s done 😊
OH MY GODDD this flat is gorgeous! You're living the dream! this is such a cool project ... and also an actual home lmao. I think the bathroom is my favorite part, it's simply stunning and so cute!
Looks awesome! I love those geometric art deco armchairs.
Thank you so much for sharing this journey! It's amazing to see the process and the updates of the space, and I love seeing what choices you made. It's going to look great when all is done!
I know it’s not complete yet but the flat looks absolutely amazing! You’ve done an incredible job!!♥️
Anybody from USA watching this and drooling over the eggs?
I love, love, love the Deco chairs. The two dining chairs that are stripped can be matched back to the originals with some vinyl sealer and then lacquer toner. The tiny toilet room glowup needs a longer moment; it is so very cool.
Your Dad is amazing to provide you with so much help. I am enjoying your decorating journey.
It gets prettier and prettier.
Random things I like in your flat: The new window sills and especially the sill in the kitchen behind the counter. The fireplace and the design of the air vent in your living room. The wallpaper in your closet. And OMG I am in love with these art deco armchairs! Please tell me that they are comfortable.
If your furniture is varnished with French polish (shellac), you can freshen it up by polishing with a little bit of high proof alcohol (for me that works better for scratches in the varnish than actual wood polish). But that also means that it is sensitive to water stains and hand sanitizer can also soften the varnish.
I was also wondering whether your side board in the living room might have been a bigger "buffet style" cupboard made out of two pieces.
The place is shaping up nicely! Just thinking back to the first videos of the kitchen to this one - wow. You could probably glue a thick wooden board to the concrete wall and drill into the board to hang stuff off (I say confidently, as if I know anything about renovation that I haven't learned from Alexandra Gater's channel).
Sooooo true about old furniture! Smells awesome!
How lovely! This is the first video I have seen in the series - thanks youtube, but your apartment looks gorgeous, I love it!
Also, I think you'll find the drainboard sink to be quite useful. They're perfect for single and double tenants. For 3 years I worked turnover & maintenance in apartment buildings from the late 1920s and most apts still had them; by far my favorite sink to use/clean. So easy!
I really love how your home is turning out! The bright yellow room reminds me of that Monticello room! I'd recommend moving your bed around a bit if your room can accommodate that. Having your foot of the bed facing the door makes the room feel less homey especially when sitting in the bed
if you haven't already, I'd recomment you check out giełda Elizówka, next to Lublin. It's every Sunday morning, and you need to ger there around 8am to get the best things, but they sell a lot of old or vintage things, furniture, decorations, ceramics...
Such a lovely flat. Alltough I could say I am not bad with cooking, baking and renovating but I don´t have a sense for style like you.
For any renovation nothing beats a "Schlagbohrhammer" (hammer drill??) , for some walls , sometimes you can use "Stahlnägel" (nails out of steel) with a normal hammer.
I lived in an old pre WW2 flat with got cheaply renovated in the 60ties. So you either got concrete, brick, paper or some other obscure things in the wall.
My jaw dropped at so many points it’s a crime how beautiful all these little details are!
Editing to say those windowsills are such a dreammm!
i love this process, you are doing amazin sweety!!
and your dad is such a cool dad!!
I've been really enjoying your flat renovations! Looking forward to the next installment :)
The place looks INCREDIBLE and your dad is WONDERFUL 👏👏
Great progress and loving Your pieces You are finding . Maybe with the coffee table You could make a strong cup of tea and paint it on to a patch and rub in, saw that done by a furniture restorer , and would the dressing table fit across the corner there , if it does I think it would give more light as well, make the Mirrors easier to check Yourself out from all angles and be pleasing to the eye . The kitchen is looking so much bigger too wow!
Those chairs and the living room table would be pretty easy to fix with a bit of scraping and a new coat of varnish!
Hej Karolina, kilka sugestii z mojej strony:
- dywan, żeby tworzył strefę wypoczynkową w salonie, powinien być wsuniety przynajmniej pod przednie nogi sofy i podobnie z drugiej strony - przednie nogi foteli powinny stać na dywanie;
- kominek i lustro mają zaburzone proporcje - lustro jest wyraźnie większe co niezbyt dobrze wygląda. Przy dodawaniu polki zastanowilabym się nad dodaniem pionowych elementów łączących polkę i podłogę - żeby stworzyć coś na ksztal ramy kominka i wnętrze pomalowałam bym na czarno albo wykleila tapeta - tym samym kominek stałby się większy niż lustro;
- nie wiem czy to przekłamanie kolorów na wideo czy tak jest w rzeczywistości, ale zieleń sofy niestety gryzie mi się z zielenią ścian;
- dobrym sposobem na podniesienie jakości wydruków są passepartout - można zamówić dokładnie pod wymiar i wtedy naprawdę powstaje piękny efekt;
- kolejna rzecz przy galerii na ścianie - obrazy dobrze wyglądają jak są powieszone dość blisko siebie - na oko max 10 cm odstepy;
- i last but not least - może spróbuj poeksperymentować z czymś bardziej nowoczesnym we wnętrzu - np żyrandol trochę współcześniejszy, ale wciąż nawiązujący do estetyki lat 30tych. Clue to nie tworzyć "pokoju tematycznego", który wygląda jak scenografia filmowa;
Love watching this series!! With the window sills, I was definitely expecting you to use a dark wood stain. Big surprise for me.
The table's nice. Already matches the chairs
LOVE 1930s style!! Your pair of living room chairs is superb!! Love watching this flat get decorated. Congrats to you and well done!!
I so much love watching your flat videos! I recently bought a flat myself and I am complaining about everything going wrong, but when I see how much thought you are putting, I get inspired ^^ So nice!
For the baseboard (trim) you could consider bendable ones, which aren't wooden.
This has slowly become my favorite web series.
It's an adorable flat!
I hope you have fun decorating it.
I love what you're doing with this place! But get some vintage cookware. Cast iron is good forever - as long as it isn't cracked it can be restored! And once you've got it seasoned, your eggs won't ever stick. Other than that, everything you're doing is just right!
I put on the skirting board in an old Italian country house: there wasn't a single 90 degree angle in any room and the walls often had bumps, so, I understand you.
😂😂😂 So you don't do a lot of cooking. Your oil is green because you got the expensive olive oil that is meant for salad, dipping bread in, etc., instead of the cooking grade which is pale gold. Go back to the kitchen dept. at IKEA and buy one of everything! 😂
On the other hand,, your vanity is absolutely gorgeous! I love it! And there is nothing in the world like the musty smell of old drawers, unless it's old books.
Gorgeous! I love the jadeite green aesthetic!!
I love your apartment. A long time ago I visited an antique store and I saw a dressing table from the 30's with a mirror without a frame.
my home was built in 50-60-ties and boy. when i saw those uneven walls, I cried with you. same problem here
I love that drop end coffee table, but it looks nicer with the ends dropped.
Love these flat updates! It's looking amazing.
I'm impatiently waiting for next part. I've been watching this over and over again
