    Oh man thanks for the video
    I almost went crazy on those bugs last night and wasn't sure if I missed a button, or if they were in fact bugs 😅🙏🏼

    I'm fortunate to have briefly gotten to sit at the controls and fly one of these in real life back in the day. It's super cool to see one in the sim and feels very reminiscent of what I remember in real life, although the sim's blimp does seem to respond a lot more quickly to control inputs than I remember the real thing doing.

      Your explanation of what the ballonets do, by the way, differs a bit from what the real-life pilots told me on my two blimp flights.
      The way they explained it, pumping air into the ballonets is about shifting the helium forwards or backwards within the envelope, thereby shifting your center of lift forwards or backwards relative to the center of gravity and thus effectively "trimming" the blimp to point nose up, nose down or level.
      As you pump air into the ballonet at the front of the envelope, for example, you release it from the one at the rear, thus forcing the helium to move backwards to occupy the space no longer occupied by air and get out of the way of the space now filled with air. This makes more intuitive sense to me than the density explanation, but I'm not entirely sure if it's just two different ways of describing the same thing, perhaps.

    Very nicely done. I hope MS gives us shared cockpit, and wouldn't it be nice if, in multiplayer, we could have ground handlers to guide the airship to the mooring mast? Thanks for the tutorial. :)

    When did you find time to learn how to fly this blimp? haha AND put together a comprehensive video about it. Always amazes me.

    Very cool. Thanks. If I may make a video request, PLEASE make a video on using the EFB (for VFR and IFR usage). That thing is awefully fiddly...

    Airship = Airsub

    It's a pity you have no option but to crash-land the airship, of course that is not how it is supossed to work, you need a ground crew and a mast to moor the ship but it seems this incredibly was not considered by Asobo.

      They absolutely considered it because a support vehicle -- which in real life is one of several that shadow the blimp on the ground when it's flying longer distances -- are available before you get control of the blimp on the ground.
      Bit of a shame the user can't access them properly but in real life it's a bit of a complex game with the blimp crew arranging sandbags in a great big circle around the mooring position so that as the blimp weathervanes there are always sandbags to hand that can be thrown into hatches under the cabin as passengers and crew climb out. (And vice versa.)
      Simulating it all properly would probably take quite a bit of work that would be useful for blimps and *only* blimps. Maybe they'll do that eventually if they see people flying it often enough, though!
