I really don't understand the buzz around Charlie Brown. For YEARS, he has been described to me as some sort of final boss lobbyist, similar to trance kuja; a force to be reckoned with. Yet here, he is asked a basic question and he is entirely unable to answer it. He deflects, stutters, and is unable to properly misdirect. TOP BANANA just my opinion but I love digital downloads because they have prevented me from having to re purchase a game due to the disc being worn or damaged. And I have never had a company say my licensing of the game was no longer valid, but I previously have had to replace hard copies of games multiple times.

Im actually in favor of forcing these slimeballs to actually answer the questions being asked of them. In regards to ownership: It's also not having full control over the device. Why can't I have admin rights on my own phone without rooting it and potentially loosing the warranty or even bricking the device, if rooting is possible at all.

It literally all came down to the fact if you can run your product just as good if not better than the next iteration of the product they release, you no longer have the incentive to buy their product.
You, as a consumer, are not a person to these people, just money for them to collect from. That's why they restrict you from doing stuff to your phone because it's actually extremely easy to improve battery life, increase performance, etc, etc.

If you've ever read one they explicitly state they cover manufacturing defects and parts.
Many also will stipulate what normal use is and if you were overdoing it may not cover.

Yes last time my phone went in for repair it came back with tiktok on it. That's because I put tiktok on it before it broke and the shop left it on there and all my data. They just replaced the screen like they were suppose to and it was done when they said it would be at the price they quoted me.

@@overweightactor True, but considering how much Apple restrict background execution on iOS (For third party apps), there is nothing that app can do to you if you never launch it / uninstall immediately.
@@overweightactor The FBI has already admitted to Congress that they "listen" to our phone conversations without warrants and can turn your mic on (newer phones(I think) without powering the phone up at all. At least you could uninstall TikTok. Try uninstalling your mic.

It wouldn’t be supercomputer in 1985 either, but it still is a computer, with a Kernel on a Unix base but heavily modified running on a Arm chip, the only different is that on that computer you are not root.

I remember arguing with my "tech lead" on an obvious bug in a code base but he thought it was fine. His argument was instead of fixing the bug, which would cause the user group confusion and delays, was to "educate" the users. Needless to say, the vote was to fix the bug.

The fact that all these lobbyists keep bringing up the "future conversations" should leave an open assumption that ~you~ have the same option -- send every person on that panel a followup message, a rebuttal to what these lobbyists had to say, and a few more pointed questions that they should be asking these lobbyists when their followup meetings take place - There's a small handful on the panel that really seemed to be on "our" side, so perhaps the followup message(s) could be individually tailored to address the questions they asked, that the lobbyists just deflected and ignored.

Your comments are so true. Again, as I commented on a related video, lobbyists are there to defend corporate interests and if it means distractions, so be it. Conversations are honored and followed through on when it serves their shareholders, not the stakeholders - well as long as their shareholders win do they engage in conversation otherwise they feed the listener distractions.

I HIGHLY recommend you go watch the entire hearing Louis has on his channel if you haven't already. As much as I know Louis does not have this intent I always hated how television would take snippets of interviews/hearings/trails etc. out of context to strongly persuade an opinion of the audience. Besides the entire hearing is gold. Watching the whole thing is important to getting the full story for yourself. AGAIN I know Louis DOES NOT have a deceitful intent.
