Sold the first few this week and had some awesome feedback on overall quality as well. Good to see they actually climb so well! We hope this coming weekend is good weather here in Australia so we can take them out for a ride! Thanks for the video!
Such an impressive crawler, it has proven to be very capable and I have tested its durability several times and it is very tough. I think the Capra is going to open up new lines at peoples crawl spots they never thought possible. Great Video and great comparison on power units as well. 👍👍👍👍👍
Very impressed!! The Capra is not just more hype. 👍👍😎 Axial really did their homework, and came back to show Traxxas why AXIAL is the original and the best!! It's another one I can't dream of affording.... But I like seeing what everyone else thinks of it. Carmine ✈🚂🚙
It’s better to not use dig on descents. A locked wheel will not act like a rolling one and can create some really unpredictable body movements. Keeping the wheels locked together means they all rotate or all stop, so a blip of the throttle can get it to regain control if the wheels slip locked up. With dig engaged the backend is going to slide around.
Its definitely capable to say the least! Just not my personal style though, id say its a whole different class from any scale truck not even comparable. Its more a rock buggy crawler. And from my understanding the dig brake is commonly used for tighter turn radius, because the back drags you get that tighter turn in strange spots.
That’s exactly what it is. A rock buggy. Lol. That’s exactly what dig is used for, sharper turns. When off reading we don’t pull the ebrake, which would be the same as dig on an awd or 4wd unlocked center diff vehicle, and then descend a hill.
It is a minor advantage usually compared to a great brushed system. In the Capra, the advantage is more because a bigger 550 motor does not fit. And the Capra can definitely handle more power with its balance and abilities.
Hi RC, I've been subscribed for quite a while now and watch your channel regularly. You have so many very detailed tests and reviews and I have learned a lot from you. THANK YOU VERY MUCH for that! I have two huge favors and/or suggestions I'd like to make and wouldn't be surprised if a lot of other people would really get a lot out of this too! I just got a Capra and there's a couple of things I don't understand about it, and a Mod I'd like to attempt, but am not sure how to go about doing it. First thing would be, how to set up the DIG (all 3 modes) in the transmitter? I have a Spektrum DX5C, and haven't been able to find anything about this anywhere! The other thing I'd like to do is set it up for 4 Wheel Steering. I would much appreciate any tips or help you could share about this. Thanks in advance! You're doing an absolutely fantastic job here on You Tube!
In the blue rig with the HW ESC, are you running a BEC for the steering servo or at just 6V from the ESC? The dig servo can't take 7.4V, can it? Thx, great video to show capability.
Great video! What pinion gear are you using in both trucks? I went down to an 11T using a Holmes brushless 2200kv and I think it needs a 10T. Is it even possible in this truck?
I own them all and the original TRX4 and all the crawlers clear back clear back from ax10 Scorpion and I will say that I would depend on your style of crawling. If you’re going for upgrades and all around scaler then the The trx4. If you’re going for a buggy and you know how to properly use dig then the Capra. The element flexes way to much and I love my gen8 axe way better...
Off topic question but I could use your help here!! I put on a roof rack, and a bunch of stuff on the roof rack, and now the suspension sags. Especially the rear. What can I do to fix this fastest and easiest? Thank$
There a quiet a few option springs for the TRX4 here .54 rate is my suggestion. snp.link/3bf07b3c The other option is to turn the preload nut on top of the springs to raise ride height by preloading the spring.
Ok, I'm having a seriously-bad problem. I have absolutely no clue how to set up the DIG on my Futaba 7PX. Prior to getting the Capra, I've been running off-road SCTs, buggies, etc. Does anyone know how to set up the DIG on a Futaba 7PX?
It is very hard to set up as 3-position. The good news is the freewheel position is useless anyway. 2-position is best. Just find a channel and find an angle that will move through that terrible geometry movement.
@@RCReviewChannel Breaking it down as simple as possible, I'm coming from vehicles that only use 2 channels...I've never dealt with vehicles using more than that. I plugged the DIG servo into Ch4, and that's as far as I know how to go. I've had people tell me, "You just need to start with the endpoints set to '0', and work out from there", but that doesn't do me any good if I don't know what settings to set in the Tx. For example, if plugging the servo in is "step 1", and programming the endpoints is "step 5", how can I do "step 5" if I don't even know what steps 2-4 are?

I guess Im kinda off topic but does anyone know a good website to stream new tv shows online ?
@Abel Harlem lately I have been using flixzone. Just search on google for it :)
@Abel Harlem I watch on Flixzone. Just search on google for it :)
@Abel Harlem I would suggest Flixzone. You can find it by googling =)

Australia in the house. This one should do well out there.
Looks like this will be the best crawler of 2019! Pretty amazing stuff.
It's the right kit for the right time. For folks looking beyond Scale Trail crawlers, this an amazing next level.
Nice camera work. Love the Capra. I'm saving up! Thanks for sharing.

Yes, it doesn't fall often since it just slowly slips and gives warning signs. And when it falls, it lands on its tires or that sturdy cage.
Great review/narration over what you liked in this video. Very helpful.
Thanks buddy!
Yes the Capra is a goat I just changed mine to 4WS wow what a difference more weight over the back axle and purple springs got it low...

Man, I can't wait to get my hands on one of these. Watching them crawl kind of reminds me of a well sorted out wraith.
Exactly. It continues to surprise at every obstacle. With the Wraith 1.9 was out of the box's potential, every dream was realized here.
RC Review I actually meant the old 2.2 wraith, the 1.9 wraith doesn’t do much for me but the capra just looks the business on the rocks.
Great vid, and commentary. Really enjoy these. Look forward to the next!
Thank you. Appreciate that. Sometimes, the best running video without context or explanation does not impress at all.

mind blowing indeed
is brushless really worth that much more than brushed? Or is it just a minor advantage?
It is a minor advantage usually compared to a great brushed system. In the Capra, the advantage is more because a bigger 550 motor does not fit. And the Capra can definitely handle more power with its balance and abilities.
Have you considered overdrive gearing in the front diff or portals?

Nice, what pinion are you using on the blue Capra
Are there any videos on the red power wagon I'm building a gspeed scx10 also would love to see it always great videos from you guys
man that thing is a goat
Hi there. Nice Vid. I like very slow controlled crawling. Woud you recommend the HW 1800kv or maybe even 1200kv? 2300kv seems to be fast...
We love the 2300 since it is playful. 1800 sounds like a great middle ground.
In the blue rig with the HW ESC, are you running a BEC for the steering servo or at just 6V from the ESC? The dig servo can't take 7.4V, can it? Thx, great video to show capability.
The blue one is just running 6v because of the DIG servo. We'll check on the red one.
Anyone put gmade transition in the Capra??... Good video Francis 👍
What wheels and tires are you running ?? Building mine slowly, trying to get all the youtuber tips. THANKS for awesome videos.
We are just running plastic wheels cause all our alloy beadlocks don't fit.
We hear Vanquish beadlocks fit.
Great video! What pinion gear are you using in both trucks? I went down to an 11T using a Holmes brushless 2200kv and I think it needs a 10T. Is it even possible in this truck?
Did you switch to button head screws? Supposedly that gives you a little more room to work with different pinion sizes.
@@trailcrawler2038 I didn't think of that.. what pinion it's the truck with the 2300kv motor?
A 10T pinion is as low as the stock setup allows. Will look at modifying the mount to make a 9T work.
Did you build your front axels the way the manual calls for or did you leave out the bearings on the ends of the front axel
Stuck between the Element Senduro the TRX 4 Sport and the Capra. If you could only have one of them which would you choose?
If we could only have one, it may be the TRX-4 sport. It is the most durable, the mos upgradable and the most body options.
I own them all and the original TRX4 and all the crawlers clear back clear back from ax10 Scorpion and I will say that I would depend on your style of crawling. Do you know of any good budget radio/receiver combos for this truck or any other crawlers out there ?
What do you use?
Capra is s great trail buggy.
i'm curious how this will perform versus competition style crawlers. very interested.
It will not do that good in our opinion. Its peformance is very close to very dialed trail crawlers.
Off topic question but I could use your help here!! I put on a roof rack, and a bunch of stuff on the roof rack, and now the suspension sags. Especially the rear. What can I do to fix this fastest and easiest? Thank$
Vehicle type is trx4.
There a quiet a few option springs for the TRX4 here .54 rate is my suggestion. snp.link/3bf07b3c
The other option is to turn the preload nut on top of the springs to raise ride height by preloading the spring.
Do you prefer very nice 90mm shocks or stock ones? Is the one mod mandatory?
Did not like the 90mm because it lost its flex. We went with 100mm and pen springs in the shock to lower the sag height.
at the 7:02 mark i was found myself speaking out loud..."Hit the dig" lol
We are going back there for DIG day!!!
Is it possible to buy this complete?
You should have included the trail trucks attempting some of the lines. Great video either way.
For sure, yes. We will have another video comparing to the best trail trucks. And to the portal axle options.
Axial ax10 ridgcrest vs scx10 ii vs enduro senduro which one is better?
Traxxas trx4 sport 😁
What 97mm Shocks is that blue one running?
That one is running stock springs. But it has the pen spring mod the lower ride height.
@@RCReviewChannelThanks for the response. At 1:58 you say 97mm shocks.
Well does the element loose its crown for best kit?
The shootout at the OK Corall is coming soon
Element? Lol

What tires have you seen the best results with on the Capra.
Proline Hyrax with soft Predator compound for climbing like a capra goat. Voodoo KLR for a little better sidehilling.
RC Review thanks
is this the best crawler for you? thanks
No. It has too many weaknesses and it’s really doesn’t perform that’s good for a vehicle without a real scale truck bodies.
Hay is this Lunda Vista ??
Linda Vista indeed buddy!
Why are you doing all the easy stuff with these crawler.
Just warming up. :)
