No...that's how you tell your viewers that you don't know what kind of story you're trying to tell using your own material. I'm an editor, and that trailer made me uncomfortable for all the wrong reasons.

Nick Robinson has been in great movies for years now, still he's so underrated. But I'm sure his time will come and people will stop sleeping on him....
He just acts in films that aren't too mainstream. Love, Simon and Everything, Everything turned out to be great movies that made him known.
@@markplata1512 Not just mainstream, he hasn't landed a big critically acclaimed movie yet. I actually feel like he's done a lot of mainstream stuff. He was on a TV show, the 5th Wave, Jurassic World. Like we all knew Timothee Chalamet when he was doing indies but Call Me By Your Name blew him up. Same when Florence Pugh did Lady Macbeth. I'm sooo ready for him to be in something on that level, he's damn talented.
@@Beeoog Love, Simon made him blow up imo. It's just that he isn't very active on social media, and the film that followed that (Strange but True) was kind of weird and isn't exactly what a mainstream audience would watch. Also in Jurassic World he was still kind of a side character and 5th wave ended up being a flop. But I agree, he definitely deserves more recognition (although that's maybe because his attractiveness isn't exactly THAT mainstream either, which is shallow, but many people consider).
Mark Plata Im talking about blowing up blowing up. Award-nominating blowing up, not like Noah Centineo(?) doing three movies with the same premise playing the same character with different names in a year blowing up. Social media gets you far with fans but it doesn’t get you in an audition room for a good film. That’s the difference between mainstream success that’s just that and mainstream success with critical acclaim, and I feel like a combo of those two will get you big. Personally, I thought Love, Simon sucked. And I was so excited when it came out so I was disappointed. And I guess he is sort of ‘normal guy looking’, but I’ve always thought he was handsome, and his smile is crazy charming. And he’s tall. He’s just underrated. Kings of Summer or Being Charlie should’ve gotten him far really fast, and those are old. People are just sleep.

Well that did a complete 180. Thought it was going to be some sort of supernatural movie and then all of a sudden something is up with the father and it took a sinister turn
i get trailers on my recommend a lot but this is the first one i’ve seen that doesn’t just tell the whole goddamn story inside of the trailer.
You mean what movie trailers are supposed to do? They don't tell you the whole story, no movie trailer has ever done that. You're just part of this new internet bandwagon culture who can't understand how trailers are supposed to work.
SeptixSkeptix- no there’s been a serious amount of trailers for old and bad movies that have popped up on my recommended which literally show you every plot point and twist
@@kam3028 I'll take your word for it but most trailers Ive ever seen only allude to the plot or twist without actually giving it away. All trailers reveal some plot, otherwise you'd not know If it's something you'd enjoy. If a trailer gives away a twist, then it wasn't really meant to be a twist in the first place. In my observations, this whole "trailers spoiling movies" culture is a relatively new thing mostly made by young people. This trailer also tells you the plot. What i got from the trailer was that a girl who's fiance died somehow got pregnant with his child (or so she claims) and is now telling the parents of the deceased. It's your pretty standard trailer in my opinion. To each their own I suppose.

Natalie Rigley i feel like movie would be better if it was rated-R. It would bring more younger audiences but it would’ve made more sense as rated-R but they probably would do the same thing as Venom where they are in the zone of being Pg13 but st the border of becoming rated-R
I feel like this will be an uncomfortable movie to watch with my mom, even if it does say pg-13, and I ain't risking it 💀

Finally a trailer that DOES NOT tell the story and keeps a mystery, lol but seriously guys this movie is AMAZING. The twist is so good and unexpected. Go watch it!

Based on book by John Searles which was a best seller and won awards. It's been sitting on my nightstand awhile bc after the first few chapters I stopped reading it. It seems so implausible and silly to have a girl show up pregnant by your long deceased brother/son But now that I see the trailer
I'm motivated to read it quickly; Intrigued as to where it's going and how he will pull this off. I prefer reading the book first and then seeing the cinematic interpretation.

Just saw this movie, and yeah, the trailer gives NOTHING away! It was a pretty good movie, though. Thought it was going in one direction, but it went the complete opposite way. Judge for yourself.

Very slow with a very obvious twist, but pretty decent if you can suspend all belief, stay off your phone and just enjoy what movies do
