WOW! WHAT A MOVIE...GREAT PERFORMANCE AND DELIVERY OF TRUEST OF TRUTH, UN-PORTRAYED, EVERYDAY HAPPENING AROUND THE WORLD...LOTS OF RACISM SEEN FROM AN INDIAN PERSPECTIVE...IT WAS WEIRD TO SEE... SOOOO, MUCH TIME WAS WASTED AND FOREVER LOST FROM RACISM; FROM WHOMEVER THE PERSPECTIVE IS FROM !!! AGAIN, WOW!
My pediatrician used to call me “beta” and cup my chin in her hand- I know this was not at all about that moment, but it immediately gave me warm feelings. I was at the doctor a lot for respiratory problems as a child and it was always a comfort. I miss her smile. Lovely, lovely job to everyone involved.

Honestly I get this. I get his insecurities. I married a white man(and im black) and at first it seemed like love but any more, it only seems like I'm a black girl fetish to him. Why? you ask. Because the girls he cheated on me with are black girls.
Being attracted to certain features doesn’t have to be about racism. Insecurities and being reductive can lead a person to project it as racism though. Your ex’s biggest issue is cheating-he just happens to like black women. Assuming you’re hetero, you like men, does that make you homophobic?

I don’t see the issue here. I’m black and if I liked white culture and only wanted to date white what’s wrong wit that as long as I’m not shaming or downplaying black women. So what?! I hate how majority of black ppl love so it’s not my preference. So what?!
Sad. Hopefully that fear of being fetishized isn’t too widespread in real life. If you’re true to yourself, you should have an easy enough time falling in love with a real one and knowing where they’re actually coming from.
