Love the Zombies! "She's Not There" is one of the greatest written songs from the fabulous 60's. The play that goes on between major & minor chords in that song was way ahead of it's time.
Nice! He doesn't go into falsetto on the chorus, and that's relentless sustained singing up high. Sounds older, but man, for 73 (?) that's incredible singing (and great playing, too). Bravo, guys!
god damn it's crazy to see they still have it in them and the gear switch to modern instruments, always a great song from a astoundingly talented band 60's or now
Fantastic band , they were part of the soundtrack of the 60s, including to guys who served in Vietnam. And that fantastic hammond organ, you cant beat it.
OMG...that song came out 55 years ago (1964) These guys can still play it close to the orig.? Amazing ! Great job guys. Who new Zombies could have such a great lifespan ;-)
Probably one of the 10 greatest songs of the Rock era. First time I heard it I had to stop what I was doing and just listen. It had the same impact as "I Want to Hold Your Hand"... and that's saying something.
I seen them do this approx 8 years ago in Belfast. They were great, but must say this version and understandably so is better so due to the occasion obviously and the support. Always a big fan of Colin Blunstone as well as Rod back in his Argent days. Colin Blunstone has a magnificent unique voice
I loved 'em too. I was about eight when it came out. My sister adored Frankie Avalon and Bobby Darin. Me? I was for the stuff with a bluesy feel and a strong bass line.
Rod Argent is one amazingly brilliant keyboardist! I love his contributions on “She’s Not There”, and throughout “Odessey & Oracle”. For example, what he did with Mellotron on “Care of Cell 44” is one of the most moving (to me) songs, and provides a standard of why that instrument is so powerful. Same with “Hung Up on A Dream”. As for his Hammond works, his solos are always - and still - fantastic...!
Probably the oldest British band still playing with their main founding members (Rod Argent & Colin Blunstone plus Hugh Grundy). Formed in 1961, a year before the Stones.
This band was one of my first loves. It seemed that every time I turned on the radio, I heard the Zombies within five songs. They were are are THAT good. Ms Hoff’s words were heartfelt and spot on.
I don't usually notice such things, but they were dressed both cool (and appropriately for a bunch of old guys), and they sound better than they used to in the '60's, especially Colin Blunstone.
I watched an interview and Colin had vocal lessons after the song became a hit. They credit the longevity of his voice to learning proper technique and doing exercises.
When you have a thing called talent, it never leaves you. It lasts forever. The original from '64 and this from 2019. I'm 68 and I remember when it first came out. A timeless classic.
I love this so much. It reminds me of driving home from a family party with my folks and 5 older siblings and getting a rare to stop for custard in the 60’s.
Nancy... You are killing me right now..60's ice cream tasted. so much better..I worked at. House of HiFi in Trenton and right across the street was. CARVEL ..Every day after lunch ate a whole Pint. !!! Never got fat back then...Now ???
Imagine if Paul was still living! They would’ve pretty much the only group from the 60s with everyone left! They would be killing it! Still killing it here though.
I honestly can only feel admired, these guys still rock amazingly with their age, I mean specially the singer and the keyboardist, that speed is actually super high 😮
These guys look and sound great! The song was originally recorded in June 1964, 55 years prior to their induction in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Unfortunately, she is still not there. Maybe she moved to Texas.
It's as though I'm sitting in my 1966 Mustang, Suzie Cream Cheese next to me and we are on our way to the beach....California Beach! Dayuum....these guys still have the voices and the timing! What a treat for an old guy!!! Now if I could only find Suzie CC
We saw them a couple of months ago in South Wales -- absolutely brilliant. Blunstone's voice is amazing. We would go to see them again tomorrow if they were appearing within 200 miles of our home.
Wow!! They sound Awsome and that bical is so strong!! Their harmonies are still fantastic and each member is absolutely amazing still. Excellent job guys!! Loved it totally.
I played in a couple of local bands in the late 60's.Top 40's stuff . Their music was so unique . They where one of my top 4 favourite bands back then and still are today.
amazing grace! one of my favorite bands! wonderful melody, vocals, keyboards, life giving!!!! Why now only???? nothing is too late! there's always reason for everything! Not to be recognized requires patience, perseverance and love. God bless you all.
Excellent vocal technique. I wish other singers of their generation, like Robert Plant took care of their vocal chords as Colin. Of course he doesn't have the same timber as his younger years, but he changed his original chest singing to a much more controled head/chest mixed singing. That's why he's always able the hit the high notes.

They'll be performing it 150 years after the end of their lives in a time where they can why not .

good catch, I thought the same, but sometimes it's challenging sing falsetto live as it can be very quiet.

The Doors before the Doors. Inspirational sounds especially synthesizers.
100% agree. It's like, "What if the Doors storytelling came from a more psychologically well-adjusted place."
They aren't using synthesizers, the first synthesizer was being built at Columbia by moog. He is playing a Hammond organ.
