The greatest thing about this performance in my opinion: you can see that she feels what she's playing and that she loves to play. She's very young but her musicality is already very mature and the music in the piece doesn't feel like made by her teacher... She's the kind of cellist young cello students should admire, not any Korean four year olds that "can play this so well" she's just awesome!!!!
Absolute;y briliant, the music really comes alive, and to see a beautful young woman play it with such a smile on her face heightens the experience. The music is one of my faviourites, and she plays it as well as or even better than some very much older renowned cellists.
Its almost unbelievable how fast she moves !!!! Im so impressed!!!! I almost hope this is a sped up video because its stresses me out how impossible this would be for me.
LOL... she is so cute! I love how she's so excited she can hardly contain herself BEFORE she even plays. And she's an excellent layer. Yes, she has to mature, take the tempo slower so she doesn't screw up all those notes, lol. But she's got it going on folks. She'll look back at this performance in a few years and laugh and hang her head, lol. She's 13, give her a break.
Woww!! How talented she is, and what a tempo !! The other musicians almost seem to struggle to follow her... And what a smile... given how tricky this piece is, being able to smile and feel the music like this is just astonishing, what a performance :)
There's something unmusical about knocking out the notes as fast as you can. The best cellists exercise restraint and focus more on playing well than playing fast. That being said, this is truly spectacular to be doing at 13, and there's plenty of time for her to grow.
In the words of Isserlis, it shouldn't be overly rythmical or it doesn't feel natural. She's already a godess and with only that minor problem to fix in her playing, I really look forward to hearing her play in the years to come!

limor akta Darling you play fantastic, just wonderful! 😍 But it would not have been necessary to speed it up. 😉 I'm sure we all would have already enjoyed it the way it was originally. ❤
Of course Danielle Akta plays incredibly virtuoso, but here the acrobatics predominate. One gets the impression that she is aiming to be the "world champion in fast play". The melody suffers by this tempo. It sounds hectic and the feeling for the musical expression falls by the wayside. "Danielle, please play it in the next time a little bit slower, but with more feeling. You can do it"
We should listen the great cello players like D.Akta D.Shafran Arto Noras Gary Hoffman Karine Georgian N.Shakhovskaya. Stop listen the bad players like N.Gutman M.Maisky Yo-Yo Ma
To see how happy she is when she plays this just brings much more joy to this great performance. Very well done.
unbelieveable, amazingly beautiful and deep.

A Schwarz Very well put!! She's definitely a role model for all young cellists.
Wow she is very talented! ! I would love to go to one of her concerts!!
כשרון יוצא דופן !!
Great young talent. A masterpiece very well executed. Thanks for sharing this great performance
Literally brought tears to my eyes, her passion while she plays is beautiful to watch and makes the whole performance so genuine
why did this thirteen-year-old just slay my entire aspiring cellist existence???
lol i KNOW i suddenly feel that im not so special anymore!
I bet you are
awwe thanks, im 13 too and im playing this concerto but im nowhere as good as her...sigh. but thanks for the encouragement!! good luck to you:)
aww babes, practice! I'm 19 and have yet to even get a cello lol, but I meant what I said and good luck to you too
Joy of music, very youthful performance!!! Gosh, she is 13 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀
Such a wonderful performance - lively and expressive! Brava!!!!!
I love her expression of joy and happiness!!

wow you really feel the music
Its almost unbelievable how fast she moves !!!! Im so impressed!!!! I almost hope this is a sped up video because its stresses me out how impossible this would be for me.
Brava! Muito bom!
Como estudar e memorizar uma música assim?

why is it so fast tho. I literally i had to check if the video was sped up.
it's not though
Jonathan Shi
What is the link between sharpness and speed? 😂😂
@@jonathans.9372 plot twist: she played it normal speed in period tuning
agreed, way to fast even though its a virtuosic piece
Amazing job. Keep up the good work
ואוו.. איזה יכולות וירטואוזיות וכמה אושר ותשוקה למוסיקה יש בנגינה שלה . בראבו!
Awsooome!!!!
I am 63 years old and I have listened a lot of music but I have not seen and heard this very often. I mean that young lady playing the cello.
When I listen to this concerto movement and particularly her interpretation, I feel... invincible ^^
In the words of Isserlis, it shouldn't be overly rythmical or it doesn't feel natural. She's already a godess and with only that minor problem to fix in her playing, I really look forward to hearing her play in the years to come!
Großartig.מצוינת מעולה
finde ich auch... ein tolles Stück und hervorragend gespielt
She sacrifices intonation for speed. Intonation should never be sacrificed
Victor Linares really? She sounds great to me. And she’s still young anyways
Muito bom!
Parabéns
何て楽しそうに弾くんだろう。
so good
I think the tempo is too fast. But her performance was full of expressive.
There’s no way the video is not sped up
빠르다
The speed up totally eats up the music. Less would have been more (much more)....

holy fuck this girl can play
me, "it's okay, I like the tempo she took, wait she's just 13, holy sh*t"
Is there a not-edited/ sped up version available?
This is the original recording - NO Speed UP !!!
limor akta
Darling you play fantastic, just wonderful! 😍
But it would not have been necessary to speed it up. 😉 I'm sure we all would have already enjoyed it the way it was originally. ❤
Anna Müller she just said it wasn’t sped up 🙄 it’s so easy to tell that it wasn’t altered
Amazing ! How old is she ?

מידי מהר.
את אלופה באמת!
אבל לאן למהר?
מכניס להיסטריה!
Way too fast....
too..............
Sie spielt natürlich unglaublich virtuos, aber bei dem Tempo leidet die Melodie.
soso
Too fast. What's the rush?

gutman, maisky, and yo yo ma are all incredible musicians in their own right. you shouldn't say they are bad players.
Shes cute but staring at her fingers constantly. That is annoying.
