- A village named Kongthong in Meghalaya where to call someone in family or friend circle, villagers use special tune to call. There is one special tune against one particular villager.
Talking to ANI a local youth of Kongthong village Phiwstar Khongsit said that there is one tune against one villager and this tune is different with other fellow villagers.
He said, “If any villager dies, then the tune of that person will also die along with him or her. We have own tunes and the mother composed these tunes. We have used the tunes in two ways - long tune and short tune. We have used the short tune in our village or home. My tune was composed by my mother. This system is going on in our village from generation after generation. We don't know, when it was started. But, all villagers are very happy with this.”

Interesting and amazing. I have heard of such a village in Meghalaya and there is also a documentary about it. Many amazing people live in India and this world. ❣
Richest culture nation 😍
This is so interesting, when a baby is born new song is born🙃.
This is also a One of the reason for me to love our beautiful north east states😍💓👏🇮🇳
In Madagascar, they use similar whistle language
Could definitely do without the intrusive background music.
Beautiful 😍
C , this village is also known as whistling village
for more reference:Blackpink -Whistle
Not one instance of actual whistling!
Better, and more accurately, call it 'mewling village' or 'yelping village', or 'musical call/tune village'...
There is a full documentary about this village, go watch it. They have shown and depicted it properly.
Boring, irritating
No, it's not. Your standards are low.
