You can make delicious pancakes with a can of tuna! Serve with rice or noodles! Happy cooking! ^^
    Check out Reinier's response video!
    • Video
    Ingredients (for 2-3 servings):
1 can of tuna (5 oz: 142 grams), onion, garlic, salt, ground black pepper, sesame oil, egg, flour, and canola oil.
    Directions:
    1. Strain out the liquid from a can of tuna and place it in a bowl.
*tip: You can use cheesecloth, paper towel, or just squeeze with your hands to get the excess liquid out
    2. Add ¼ cup chopped onion, 1 minced garlic, 1ts salt, ¼ ts ground black pepper, 1 egg, 1 ts sesame oil, and 1 tbs flour to the tuna and mix it well.
    3. Heat up a non-stick pan and spread 1-2 tbs canola oil.
    4. Scoop a spoonful of the tuna mixture with a spoon and place it on the heated pan.
    5. Press slightly and round the edges with the spoon.
    6. Make 6 small size pancakes with the tuna mixture.
    7. When the bottom is cooked golden brown, turn it over and cook until both sides of the pancakes are golden brown. Total cooking time is 3-5 minutes.
    8. Transfer the cooked pancakes to a serving plate and serve with rice.

I did this recipe for the first time, but I added a cup of mixed veggies and 1 more egg. I had my sister eat it first and she said she can't explain how good it tastes. Then I had my bro in law eat it, he keeps on saying that it was delicious. But I am not convinced until I ate it, and it was sooo good. It will be added in my recipes. Thank you for sharing and keep on cooking. My husband introduced me to you (he's been watching your delicious cooking)

I made these "tuna" cakes however, I used canned salmon and almond flour and 1tsp xanthan gum instead of wheat flour because I have celiac disease and I'm allergic to wheat. They were yummy!

Oh Maangchi, I just had the tuna pancakes for dinner. Why is it that with just a little egg and bit of flour fried in a pan make such a delicious dish? The simplest changes and techniques make such a wonderful result. I love it and will make tuna pancakes again. So easy. So tasty. So healthy compared to the common tuna salad. Thank you

i cut the salt down a to a little under a 1/2 teaspoon because first batch found to salty, and changed the 3 tablespoons of onion to 3 teaspoons because the ratio to tuna seemed a little high for my liking , i love your videos excellent cook and a beautiful woman. Your chopping skills are fantastic by the way. found to get that golden color and keep them from burning the trick is to barely keep the pan on the heat, every now put the pan back on the heat for a few secs but constantly slide around
