- Replica Batmobile completed in 2001. Presentation short shot on location of original TV Series Batcave entrance in October 2001. Presentation was used as pitch for Batman TV Movie a few years ago that didn't sell.
Rest in peace Adam west, you will always be the bright knight
When it comes to Batman, West is best.
@@williampetersen9915 I agree too.
@@williampetersen9915 Agreed. I'm not for any of this Gotham dark Night garbage. The 60s batman is and always will be the besy
RIP Caped Crusader... the one and only Batman, Adam West.... you are truly missed 😧😦 😭
Adam West didn't have to announce he was Batman. Everybody knew he was Batman
Dick Clark didn't ; ruclips.net/video/KLuT38m-anc/видео.html
actually if you seen
"Minerva mayhem and
millionaires" Mr. West said "I'm Batman."
My hats off to whoever made that…. Totally great! Loved it.
This car was the greatest because it not only looked like a bat, it looked like a REAL car. Even if the Batman markings were removed it would still look cool. Awesome!
It looked like a "real car" because it was a real car, concept car.
the original car was a one off called Futura, built by Lincoln. Apart from the repaint and various bits and pieces, pictures of it are instantly recognisable.
I agree, this is the best car than the current movie cars.
@@chrisparkes2179 very true.
I've seen that it beat off all other Batmobiles in the 1/4 mile run.
Of all the batmobiles over the years the first one was the awesome one
Awesome (and probably fairly accurate) parody, great job. I bet if he could have seen this he'd be laughing his ass off. I'm in tears from laughing at this, and crying at the same time. I was a kid in the 60s and grew up with the series, great memories. Thank you for putting this together, it's a needed laugh right now in today's world. RIP Adam
Me 2 💜 BRO 🤜🤛I waited for this 2come on, we had2. Had 2wait a week,it was worth it .🦇.. Da'💜 na' Nana' 🦇Nana' Nana' NAA' BATMAN 🦇💜
It is a real car, ford lincoln futura
How cool would it have been if they had the actual Adam west to do this before he passed that would’ve been awesome.
That would have been cool.
RIP for the best Batman in history
Adam West RIP 9June17
I remember seeing this when it first played, still is awesome, and follow the sentiments of my esteemed peers here, we shall forever miss our Brightknight, who brought squeals from us as kids (62 here), and still leaves us with chuckling smiles watching this and the reruns, and yes, this is still and shall always be the definitive, BEST, Batmobile to grace this the planet, sorry, the 89 is second place. Till tomorrow faithful followers, Same Battime, Same Bat channel.
Where did this first play? A small screening room with you and others in the business?
What was the conceit of it? That Bruce Wayne had disappeared, and, as Batman, gotten frozen and thawed out after some decades?
@@goodmaro Actually I saw this on youtube a few years ago , tho the reactions of the kids in seeing Batman is too priceless, if I had the car ,I'd don the suit and carrying his tradition, Rest In Peace Adam , you know not how much you're missed,!!!
Holy Flash Backs!
I love it! Funny as hell! Loved the intro too!
Batman seems lost and it looks like he was definitely afraid to ask for directions. LOL
This is possibly the best video I've seen all year. How did I miss it?!?
LMFAO yeah while other kids back then growing up would be watching Sesame Street and Big Bird, I was watching Batman
Would've been reruns of "Batman", because "Sesame Street" premiered some years later.
I used to watch this show back in the 60's and for me the original Batmobile was the
best looking Batmobile EVER. OK so the car was based on an old 1950's design with
its big tail fins, but this gave the car a Bat wing kind of look to it. Awesome!
Gary Dunn agree Adem west and Burt ward are the dinameckdoe ever
Gary Dunn except this wasnt the original batmobile. The original one was some old early 50s pos. Just a car.
Wait what? pos? Della you need to be schooled on what the 1955 Lincoln Futura actually was. Look it up. It was NOT just a car
Michael Hawker yeah it was a pos like evey american car from the 50s. Didnt stop didnt corner. Sucked juice like no tomorrow.
We can sure tell who the older people are here, can't we?
There will always be one Batman Mr Adam west RIP
I still LOVE that Batmobile!
@carlos curti
Right? All the other Batmobiles looked like tanks. Adam west had the best gadgets and Robin. And the funniest joker.
@@dannydowd9768 And Julie Newmar (Meow😻).
I think the Green Hornet's Black Beauty was a smoother car that Kato pimped out..
@@dannydowd9768 I've always liked the Joker the best too.
@@goldenknight578 she was sexy at the time which she was my favorite than others who played Catwoman.
What a great show! Winning the highest Nielson ratings in TV history.
The highest ratings? Surely you can’t be serious!
@@piercelindenberg6842 I am serious, and stop calling me surely.
Love the use of the late-Silver Age comic book logo at the end. (Designed by DC staff artist Ira Schnapp.)
Great to see the original Bronson Canyon "Batcave" location. However, they made a huge mistake. In the original show, it was a large bush or shrubbery that came down, allowing the Batmobile to exit. It was not a large rock that moved out of the way.
Loved the way the area changed. The road construction, kids playing... "who the hell are YOU?"
Love it.
Marc Lassman I don't think it would have been just a bush or shrubbery that hid the entrance to the Batcave. I'm sure there would have been some type of Steel or perhaps Rock mounted on Steel along with the shrubbery to secure the entrance. I appreciate the way they did it, it looks different from what we're used to in the TV series, but I'm sure Batman made the Batcave entrance secure.
It was a rocky door that swung open camoflaged by hanging vines.
A Japan long distance telephone operator once recognized Batman’s voice when Adam West place a call to Japan. Classic Batmobile is the 1955 Lincoln Futura.
Years ago I was dining in the Beverly Garland Hotel Restaurant in Studio City, CA. where Adam West was known to frequent when I heard a voice coming from a couple of tables over from me. I exclaimed to my dining companion, "Listen. That's Batman!" I stole a peek and sure enough the portion of face visible beneath the bill of his sports cap was none other than that of Adam West. His voice and lower portion of his face easily recognizable.
@@cwilliams8934 wow did you talk to him?
@@JustinMacri007 No. I did not speak to him. Never interrupt a man and his meal.
Still the best looking car EVER!!! (I know I am biased, I grew up with the 1966 Batmobile)
One of the best fan films! Really funny.
Sad news to pass on actor Adam West has passed away he was 88 years old.
The only Batman, the only Batmobile. Nice replica, and funny!!
Holy senility, Batman !!!!
This was excellent and funny. Great homage to a real classic and television legend. A bat(man) out of his time. Looking to get to town.
👍🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇
This somehow was recommended to me 13 years after this was made, but I can see why this movie never happened, because it felt like it was going to be a cheesy comedy and did not feature Robin in the trailer.
i think our lord the algorithm wanted you to watch something funny
Not everyone noticed that Bruce Wayne didn't live in Gotham City.
When they leave the Batcave you see a sign " Gotham City 14 miles " .
Just As Campy As The Original !!! ... Great !!!
The original was campy, but brilliant. This pitch isn't campy, but stupid. No wonder it didn't sell.
Loved it! Very funny, and has the fuzzy out of focus the original TV show had back then. Amazing job.
289 dislikes. The Joker, Penguin, Riddler, Mister Freeze, King Tut and 284 others.
Holy heartbreak! The kids didn’t know who the legend was as he was driving the coolest car ever
Wonderful car unless it's raining outside!
The original Lincoln Futura had a sliding perspex roof that fitted into the gap. Whether or not but was entirely watertight, though ...
I've been a longtime fan of the old series and found this QUITE funny! Thanks for sharing!!
That was sweet! And by sweet,I mean KICK ASS!!!! LOVED THIS!!!! :D
im a true batfan id love to try this car out for a cruise!!! wicked!!
1966 Batman lost in 2021, dazed and confused.
If I ever win a huge lottery, I'm having one of these built! I LOVE that car!!!!!
If you get a copy of the old batman show and watch it in slow motion as batman and robbin get into the batmobile in the cave, 2 guys get in and only one guy in a helmet comes out of the cave. Funny little fact check it out. :)
I'll have to have a look at that.
In "Return to the Batcave", the fictionalised story of the making of the series, there's a running joke that whenever Robin was to do a stunt, the stuntman was on his break, so Burt had to do the stunt himself, including being thrown about in the Batmobile and getting badly bruised. There's a montage of him having various injuries treated.
I gotta admit This is one cool looking car man
When I was a Kid.I always ran home after school,to watch the original Batman Series.I loved that show! It's on one of those Retro Channels Now and I watch It!!! I didn't KNOW IT WAS SO CHEESY WHEN I WAS A KID,BUT I STILL LIKE IT.It was a TV COMIC BOOK.RIP ADAM WEST,MY FAVORITE BATMAN!!!
this was pretty cool indeed. The music was in the style of the 1960s and the tv show. Not sure if the creators knew this when they were making this cool video that there was a Batman album released during the tv show, and it had themes to each of the heros/villans. Also in a medium far shot Batman driving the car looked close enough, but in the close up at the beginning the actors nose was so distinctively different than Adam West's nose. All in all this was a nice blast from the past.
Batmobile still looks good as usual
Well, that definitely was the way Adam West drove. He would try to pull the Batmobile forward five feet and would crash into something.
You mean the way his stunt driver drove.
@@goodmaro No, at the very beginning of the first season, they tried to have Adam West do some of the very simple driving. Things like, “Pull the Batmobile forward ten feet, at 3 or 4 MPH (with no obstructions, people, or other vehicles ANYWHERE close to it), slam on the brakes so you screech to a halt, then jump out of the car and go running wherever you are supposed to go.”
It turns out that the combination of the Batman cowl (Adam could see almost nothing, but a tiny sliver directly in front of him, at his feet), and the fact that Adam West is possibly the worst driver in the Western Hemisphere, meant that he invariably ran into something. Every single time they tried to have him drive. By the latter part of the fist season and beyond, yes. It was all stunt drivers. But early on, it was Death Race 1966: Gotham City Edition.

@@VegetaLF7Just remember Adam West became Batman long before Kevin Conroy
so that makes him the one true Batman.
I can't type..laughing too hard.......I LOVE IT!! Old chutes disintegrate.....ROFL>
They should've showed the "Batmobile Parachute Pickup Service" truck -- long abandoned, rusted, up on blocks..
Many USA states wont allow a vintage truck rusting out on blocks to be sitting around even in someone's barn, without being sent to local junkyard on a 1 way trip to the crusher and overseas to come as a oriental tech wreck Front Wheel Drive dinky TOY-ota! Sad day when an USA citizen cant buy whole car and put it on a flatbed or tow dolly to take the relic home, instead of just the pieces out of junkyard only to leave the body and frame behind-because the United States got its politicians panties wedged too tight to allow salvageable 1930s to 1980 carburated whole vehicles to be taken back out of junkyards to be put back on the road, *Screw the new models with sensors nobody cant service themselves*, use up the supply of vintage parts scattered around in other parts of United States, THEN switch to the Star -Trek tech wrecks!
That's very sad .
And where was the Bat Chute recovery van?
Was this something that Adam West made? I actually couldn't tell who was wearing the mask. Awesome video. The look he gave the kids was just priceless. Also liked the classic tunes on the Bat radio. Thumbs up! RIP Adam West. The real Batman. Truly a hero. :,(
Good old TOM JONES on the bat radio..
They probably would not have cast the Bruce Wayne part before making this teaser.
Batman, we really do need you now!!!
This was funny as hell well done lol
What a Beautiful car!!!
That was very funny. The cowl made him look like Adam West from the nose down anyway. The making of the batmobile is a great story
I especially like the Tom Jones kick
Adam West will always be the best Batman cause he sounded like a human not somebody swallows a chainsaw.
It sucks that that wasnt Adam West
doing this spoof but it was still fun to watch
Mr.West would be proud.
At 2:24, Batman's like, "What the hell am I doing???"
William Dosier and Adam West would appreciate and love this!!!
Yes they sure would have.
Adam and Burt would love this! The subdivision being built outside the cave is perfect! And the "WTF!" look on Batman's face is priceless! You have to maintain those Bat-Chutes! Moths can be a bitch (or is that Bat-Bitch?)
That's 4 minutes I can't get back
I saw a replica of the batmobile a couple years ago at a local event I wonder if it was the same one in this vid.
I also saw one that passed me on I10, west of Pensacola at the Alabama state line, west bound. Barely had time to get the camera going.
neptune04, I saw the real one at the Gold Strike casino a year and a half ago.
Love the Tom Jones insert!
Is that Adam West behind the wheel? It is great just to see the Batmobile driving again.
No
Looks like this Batman was having a really Bat day..
Almost running over children, his sign in front of the cave malfunctions & he hits it & a bunch of other things, he almost loses it in a construction area..
YIKES!!
Izzat JoeBama bin Hiden driving?
🤣😂 that’s me all day long, stuck in late 60’s & 70’s🤣🤣
Are you kidding me i grew up watching this show.. ohh god i just told everyone how old i am LOL ha ha ha ha ha.., 🦇🦇🦇🦇
I can understand why this idea didn't "sell", because it's appeal is ONLY for us "baby-boomers". The "kids" won't get, and are not interested in, the humor and parody of it all. Still, if such a "30 years later" TV movie were made, I'd see it. I'd buy the DVD. I think it would be great. IF Adam West AND Burt could find costumes that would fit them. It is, after all, 30 years later. I wouldn't want to see this with other actors. It would HAVE TO BE Adam and Burt.... 30 years later.
The poster gorilla4sale says- "Presentation was used as a pitch for Batman TV movie a few years ago that didn't sell".
Let's just (very charitably!) say- "Great car reproduction, and by gosh, thanks for the thought"!
There is one question I have had since 1965 or 1966 when the show aired. What do Batman and Robin do while driving the Batmobile when it starts pouring in Gotham City ? I think one episode showed thunder and lightning while they were inside of Wayne Manor but I could be wrong.
There is only ONE Batman and his name was Adam West.
RIP.
Awesomeeeeeeee!!!! If you are a bat-fan, must see in Ebay the awesome 1:64 scale Batcave model kit from the tv show! Search with this words: Batcave TV 1966. Regards!
Rip🙏to the legend! The original Batman🦇Adam West!
i find those who make parody of so many old series dont get it right....this time they did
well done, thumbs up
You’d be lucky to get 10 mpg in this gas guzzling dinosaur!
There's a guy that builds nothing but batmobiles to order. Where I don't know.
It is Fiberglass Freaks, Logansport, IN.
The Tom Jones cut sold me
BRILLIANT!! THANKS!!
This is a wonderful example of the difference between "camp" and just plain stupid...
Your fans will miss you
Long boring intro and thin gags. At least the shots of the batmobile brought back some great memories. Thanks.
Robin must has sat that one out with Mrs. Robin at the nest making more baby Robins..lol..
Lincon Future , Hollywood otimizou e embelezou este carrao !
Of all the versions of the way this song wss played my favorite was/is still Jan and Dean.Adam West would be proud.
P.S. Riddle me this.
Was it nesacary to
have the boy say"who the Hell are you?"
Batman 4 ever Adam West R.I.P
No wonder this wasn't picked up as a TV movie! It was too disrespectful to the memory of a classic tv show! The guy in the Batman suit didn't resemble Adam West, and the bit with the kids was an insult! Not even a good Bat-costume and a nice Batmobile replica could save this turkey!
The Crazy campiness of the original Batman Series was all over this video, Patrick. Please give it that consideration
I can see why this didn't sell. This made no sense. Batman looked confused and disoriented.
WTF....I tried playing this a dozen times without results...now I get audio. Thanks Batman.
I loved the turbine sound, not the fastest car around, but awsome for sure, helps counter crime.
There was only one Batman,
All the others were just playing dressup.
Batman listening to Tom Jones: classic!
I wonder if there's a way of mixing the Batusi with the Carlton?
Holy hotrod!! I would l Iove to take the Batmobile out for a spin....even better to own one!!
Reminds me of the adventures of little batman.

Hilarious!🤡
Why didn't this movie sell??? Some idiot executive missed the boat. I met Adam West once and he was a class act. His fans would have eaten up more original Batman stuff.
I'm loving it.
Amazing!
Even though I wasn't born until 1967 I love the original tv series which yet to buy the series. I like this car better than the latest "Batman" movies since the 90's, I have a Hot Wheels version still in package & recently found a bigger diecast version more realistic I had found at Wal-Mart in May.
I have the same Tom Jones song on my phone and listen to it while driving lol
GREAT VIDEO!!! Love It!!!
