- Herein the big finale of my three (and a half) part series of my huge perfume declutter.
I don't know what else I can say over and above what has already been said. This was a challenge. I'm not sure I passed BUT in the weeks subsequent to filming this, I feel like I have been able to let go of more much more easily. More updates to follow! :)

I'd definitely love to see you do a house review of the Serge Lutens you have. ✌️
It's so much better living vicariously through you than taking control of my own collection and doing the same because I've been coming up with the goofiest justifications for keeping stuff I haven't worn in years 😱
Oh please do share the goofiest one you've thunk up so far!
“I bought it because, i don’t know.. i thought i liked it “
STORY OF MY LIFE 😂
Amazing how you can really make up your mind with declutters.. i always find reasons and justifications of why i won’t declutter s scent 🤣
Btw, those Shalimsr bottles in there look gorgeous 💙
They smell gorgeous too! 😜
I've loved watching your declutter. My collection is huge too, and I've been working on and off decluttering for the past month or so, when I have the time and energy. It's a big job, but very necessary.
yesss!!! :). I love declutters and I especially enjoy yours for some reason!! :)
Haha even with all the rambling! Thank you 💞
🎉great job. 💖 You purged with conviction this time😎 Can’t wait to see your ‘current’ display and 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼eventually your collection (by house) with your top 3-5 from said house😇. Your declutter journey was actually INSPIRATIONAL 🥰. I need to declutter my wardrobe but always find excuses. Your final display was BEAUTIFUL 💖
Thank you! Oh that’s a good idea! X
Enjoyed the declutter video 🙂
I always admire the bravery of decluttering. Thanks for sharing your journey. Appreciated 💛
Thank you!
haha I'm in the process of this as well. Easier than I thought it would be. Great Video :) I like the clear spice tiers to help present the fragrance up the back.
I try to declutter my collection. Is 40+frags and endless samples and decants. After watching yours I feel better 😁 I don't need get rid of nothing 🤣 beautiful scents, specially❤️this huge Coco you have, I catch vintage one today. So super happy. Its a hard job to get rid of frags, good job 😁
And so it is done. Well done indeed, I rate you a 10/10 for effort. Great series of videos, thanks Cherie 😊
It’s never done haha thanks Marcus! 💞
I think your decluttering videos are my favorites 😍😍😍
Thanks Yve 🥰
Loved it!! ❤️❤️❤️ Glad you kept L'Agent - Ouch110 has talked about how great it is and it's definitely hard to find here in the US
Thanks Joss! I’m glad I did too 😃
Thank you for taking us through the declutter which was also kind of your perfume collection. Btw, have you done a perfume collection? Curious about the 3 Elie Saab Essence perfumes on the 2nd shelf. Which ones are they?
I haven't yet! and in hindsight, it would have been better to do that first and THEN declutter...but in the moment I chose declutter 😬 But I promise its coming!
I just love decluter videos, choosing less to improve well-being 👍 i have decluter sooo many perfumes too, feels Great. I mean, why keep perfumes that never gonna get used anyway. We use what we love and thats The most importen 🤍🙏✨
That’s so true! X
Great 3 videos thank you!! So much fun I love watching other perfume lovers 🙏❤
May I ask which V Canto fragrance you have there?
Yes it’s Kashimire ☺️
Oh great thank you! I recently got a few V Canto fragrances - I have Magnificat, Mandragola, Stricnina & Lucrethia. You have similar taste so good to suss out which one you have ❤
I'm also interested in Serge Lutens, looking forward to your video on this house! I looked up the notes for L'eau Froide on fragrantica and it sounds right up my alley, it'll be added to my evergrowing test list
Congrats ... you did it. Decluttering is a process, that's for sure. I would imagine that it has given inspiration to others, me being one of them. The hardest part is probably the initial cull, before we know it you will be tossing bottles left, right and centre😅🤗
Haha maybe!! It has been easier in the last couple of weeks to add more to the “out” pile. Thanks Gail 🥰
no she did't...Cher said she would "prolly....not being sure...give it the last spin...." declutter them....but the time will tell...:))
I just got Joop Le Bain and am wearing it now! Delicious Delights says it smells like a baby’s bed and I totally agree!
I hear that one is lovely! I have only smelled it once I think.
You have the most beautiful containers for your samples and small bottles...mine is a paper bowl. 🤣I enjoyed the declutter journey!
Thanks Jim! Well, you might be onto something there...maybe if I didn’t have the nice bowl I would be more inclined to EMPTY it!! 😂
Love watching these “old” videos, I really liked seeing your Guerlain bee bottles, I recently picked up a vintage bee bottle of Jardins De Bagatelle, and I’m not getting any top or middle floral notes, it smells only like the musc powdery bottom note, do you think that’s because it’s old or is that just they way it smells?
You might like the vintage Casimir - it is less sweet and more spicy. I wore it as a teenager.
YAY!!!
😍
I'm curious what you find in Shalimar that appeals to you so. I blind bought Souffle and mostly like it but haven't even smelled any other Shalimars. I have heard you either like it or don't and when you panned across them, they were non-negotiable. Ironically, I bought the Souffle because a RUclips reviewer I like gushed about it and I was unaware that a more recent video of hers would show she decluttered it because there is a note she doesn't care for. Lol
Hmmm well I just really like ambery, resinous fragrances. I’m also very drawn to vintage style perfumes, which a lot of people are not. The Souffle range was the range I struggled with the most because I found them to be a lot sweeter and vanilla focussed. But once I tried d’oranger I found I started to appreciate the others in the line as well. Everyone is different I suppose, and sometimes I think people get swept up in appreciating some fragrances for their complexity, or popularity, or because they are perhaps different to what they would normally go for, but but then realise later that as a wearable perfume it doesn’t suit them. I guess the most important question to ask is - do YOU like it? 🤗
"You're gonna miss me when I'm gone" 🎶 - Casmir Chopard.
Haha love it! 🎶
Oh I want to try miss Dior I love sweet scents- will have to try it 💕💕
Its definitely sweet! :)
Can you please do a Serge Lutens video? I'd like to get some but not sure where to start. I live in a warm climate as well.
Gifted Miss Dior to my teenage daughter because there’s a sweet strawberry note in it I simply cannot stand, but she doesn’t like it either.
it is very sweet, I couldn't handle it either.
Im a collector myself...in one moment in time had everything you decluttered...and never, ever wanted to buy it again...I have 28 of my best pieces, and can't in my wildest dreams see myself having more than 30...sniffing-yes,loving them from afar-yes...but having a pile of so-so perfumes-never....I just know I won't wear them and I really don't need them...
I dont really consider myself to be a collector (that implies I am much more serious about it than I am 🤪), more of an..."enthusiast", but I agree it doesn't really make sense to hold on to perfumes you dont really love anymore.
in my opinion, SHALIMAR is very very grandma scented. I'm an older woman 63 years old and can't stand the smell and don't want to smell old.the bottle is very pretty though.
Haha oh no! I don’t feel like I smell old at all when I wear it! I agree it smells vintage and from another era but that’s what makes it special to me. I love feeling transported through time - I guess that’s what is so great about perfume it’s so different for everyone. ☺️
I like L’Instant edt but needs to dry down a long time. I prefer it to the edp
I definitely prefer the edt to the edp! Edp was a total fail on me. The edt isn’t out...yet lol
👋 Cherie. I was wondering, when you say they are going, what will you be doing with the fragrances you don’t want? Great video..🤗😉
I’m a little undecided about that. I have a couple friends who are interested in specific ones so I’ll probably pass those on to them. I am also involved with a not for profit that supports people getting back into the workplace, etc. so I might donate them or sell and then donate the sales proceeds.
TheTopNote Very Cool. 😎
How do you like the Miss Dior Le parfum? I am quite interested in this one.
Hi it’s not as sweet as the EDP, much more ambery and deeper rose. It is by far my favourite from the line. It feels like a more “grown up” fragrance to me compared to others from the miss Dior line. :)
TheTopNote nice! Thanks for the feedback
HI ! CAN YOU DO MAISON LAMCOME LINE PLEASE ? THANK YOU SO MUTCH !!!
Hey, how do you manage to wear Shalimar in a hot country? I used to wear Roma in the UK (similar scent family of balsamic incensey notes) but I’ve moved to the tropics and have since gotten Shalimar. I love it but I’m finding it overwhelming as my country is either rainy (humid and around 27 degrees with rain/sun) or dry (Sahara like around 34 degrees and up). Do you have tips or similar perfumes that are lighter and easy on the nose? I would rather not completely give up balsamic perfumes. I have Shalimar EDP btw.
Sorry for my late reply, I missed this. umm... I dont know hahaha I just spray less and not too close to my face - that way I get "whiffs" of it but it doesn't overwhelm like it would if I sprayed on my chest and neck.
I’m sure this comment isn’t going to seem very helpful to someone who is trying to declutter but I think it’s ok to keep some that you don’t wear simply as a reference or perhaps even just because you enjoy the bottle. Just maybe pack them up and put them away and every so often pull out the box and have yourself a little smell party :)
Haha all good thank you. For the ones I really struggled to let go of I will be keeping a decant before I pass them on :)
TheTopNote if you use the sort of standard size decant bottles I have found that clear plastic lipstick holding displays work really well for organization. Just a thought :)
How much are you selling idylle for? You could always use Rochas femme as a room spray?!
Could you do a review on your penhaligons portraits perfume please
I also noticed you had some Theone Reinthal perfumes which ones do you have?
oooh OK lots of questions! haha. I don't know how much re: the Idylle but I will work it out soon :) I could use Rochas as a room spray but I already have 34596039834743 samples & 2 other perfumes that I am doing the same thing with so, I think its time to just let stuff go. I can absolutely review the Penhaligon's and I have a few TRNP but I may save those for a TRNP video 😜
@@TheTopNote ok I look forward to your 2 reviews!
Hello:)! What is that beauty on the top shelf in a red guerlain vintage bottle? Thanx for the answer in advance
Hi I think the one you mean is the Eau de Cologne Imperiale. It was a special edition bottle for the Chinese New Year 2019 :) there was also a red Samsara bottle on the same shelf though so, I figured I would mention both just in case 🙃
Do you sell the decluttered fragrances?
Hi yes I do - although I can only ship within Australia :)
Oh where do you buy belayed fragrances from please
I just bought direct from their website when they had a sale...
