- This week I have cobbled together a bit of a vlog comprising four months of random reviews and footage that I didn't know what to do with. Clips I had never used, and reviews that I thought I would revisit but didn't. Several failed attempts at a weekly vlog where I ended up filming only one clip lol.
So, its long and random but hopefully you enjoy.

Great video Cherie! I know someone else mentioned this in another of your other videos, but yes, I absolutely agree that watching your vlogs really feels just like chatting with a friend as your style and way of speaking is so natural, articulate and unpretentious, and very refreshing. 😊 The black boots look amazing on you paired with the jeans & shirt. And with the skin/cameras comparison, I have to say that your skin just looks amazing in both cameras! You can tell that you look after your skin quite well. Anyway, enough rambling. Yay! Im so glad because the couple of "vlog" style videos Ive done I have had so much fun with editing! Much more fun than just talking head and cutting out "um"'s and "ah"'s. I WILL do more!
You actually have a point on built in camera filters, thanks so much for showing us your eye wrinkles for real to make us feel better about having them too ❤ This is an important message especially towards younger viewers that are currently being bombarded by beauty content with filters on, making them think they are ugly and feeling bad about themselves, with contents creators are actually lying to them…

Oh…. Wow… the phone part is STUNNING! Somehow more alive - and you look a bit mischievous - eyes more sparkly and cheeky. Smoothed out is beautiful too of course. But the glittering eyes in the phone camera are something else.
And the black boots were definetly more flattering 👍🏻

Having seen you in real life Cherie, I can attest that you actually are in fact, quite beautiful! Thanks (kinda) for telling us about the Nest perfume oils… I love perfume oils and will have to make an effort to smell those. Samples of oils in shops rarely smells so good, do you find that? Maybe because they’ve been opened so much. I have one from Meeka, the Hydrating Body Oil, that I adore. I’m on my second bottle of that.

thanks Nell, you are very kind. I actually havent smelled that many oils in shops, I dont know why but with oils I tend to just take a punt, but yes I think oils can go rancid pretty quickly maybe? Especially as unlike perfume which you spritz so the container is never really "open" the oils you have to open the container so they probably oxidise pretty quickly.

So nice to hear how you select a scent and then see the environment/outfit that this scent travels through. The black boots are more versatile and look great 😘. On a side note, I’m drawn to the warm coziness of white musk w/ florals, sandalwood or vanilla/amber scents. Please recommend some that you enjoy. Thank you! ( ❤️🐕)

Haha she tends to have that effect. Sometimes I literally just lie on the couch with her for ages and just observe how adorably cute she is.
Here is a another compliment I guess... your skin has a very nice glow, with wrinkles too! I do not see myself with superlong boots either, the black are super beautiful. Sidney looks like the next place to go for me and my family, so cool, we need to start saving money haha

Your expression and reaction to Eau Lente is exactly how I felt about it when I tried it in the store. It blew me away and I bought it. Hard to be impressed after you smell so much, but it still happens once in a while! Lise Watier is the brand for Neiges in case anyone is wondering.

Hi Chérie! Lise Watier is an iconic makeup brand in my province of Quebec (Canada) and Neiges was the perfume all my aunts wore when I was younger. OMG I could smell it through the screen and it brought back so many memories! I’m 50 and I think I’m still too young to wear it because of the all references! 😂

I wore Neiges by Lise Watier when I got married. I really liked it then, but now I can't wear it anymore. At the beginning of my pregnancy, I couldn't stand any smells ..everything was making me nauseous and now, whenever I smell it, that feeling comes back..too bad..because I really liked it
Oh thats such a shame! I had a friend who had that so bad in her pregnancy as well, her nose was so sensitive that sometimes she would even detect if someone had used a shower gel! Poor thing must have been really hard going about in the world when even the most vaguest of scents could throw you off.
I feel sorry for anyone who deals with nausea..I had it for both pregnancies.I love coffee and even the smell of coffee was a no go for me..Good thing that didn't stop me from drinking coffee after:)

I love Solaris precisely because of that freshness. I am glad there is no coconut or too heavy on the ylang or tiare. It's not cloying at all. I can't wait for it to warm up here in England so I can wear it 🍋

Sure! I have sold a couple in the last year or two which occassionally I have a tinge of regret over but happy to talk through what's there in my wardrobe!
Literally was just about to comment and ask about your makeup and then you brought up how on point it is! We have very similar coloring...would love to know what foundation you use?
Thanks! haha when I was editing I was trying to remember what I was wearing on my face because I want to try and replicate it! My go-to lately has been a chanel foundation that I have a sample tube of. Its the Sublimage Le Teint, I think. It is quite thick (I guess its a cream foundation?) and what I do is mix a small dollop in with a dollop of bobby brown face base and that seems to help it melt into my skin and actually look like skin, instead of foundation sitting on skin. Its my favourite combo at the moment but when I run out of the sample I might just try doing the face base/foundation mix using any old foundation and see how it works. I expect it should do the same thing. I did put a tiny TINY bit of powder over the top, the one I currently have is the Nikkia Joy one - I really like it, it has a very velvety finish (I think it might actually be called Velvet Finish or something) and it still lets the dewyness come through.

Thanks! For face I have been using a sample of Chanel’s Sublimage Le Teint and I mix it in with some Bobby Brown face base before applying it. Then once it’s dried I add a tiny bit of powder to tone down the extra glowiness. 😂

Also which Sony camera are you using? I've been filming on my iPhone this whole time, and ready for an upgrade. I was thinking about the Canon M50 but if the Sony reverse ages...I'll probably spring for that! LOL!
Sony Zv-1! I will say though, I prefer the Canon in many ways. I think the Canon is more versatile and is good for photos too. where is I have never use the Sony for taking photos. You can also change out the lenses on the Canon, but the Sony is only a point and shoot with a built-in lens . The Sony is smaller and better for “on the go” and interestingly, even though most people say Canon has the better colours, I actually have been preferring the colours that I’m getting out of the Sony - and there you go, everyone now knows what a technology hack I am! 😂
