- I can now say that I'm one of two people to drive a hay squeeze to a castle! When @jessebounds6795 asked if I wanted to go to Klamath Falls with him and Bill from @CascadeViewFarms to pick up his two new Sunny D Roadrunner squeezes, I said absolutely! While we were down there we also got a quick tour of the factory from Ed and were able to see how they make them from scratch right there in house.
While we were there we also got to see Flint Mcvey's absolutely stunning new squeeze that show the incredible level of craftsmanship at Sunny D!

If only you had a trailer to haul these
There is not a a trailer out there that can legally haul these in one load.
@@CaseyLaDelle I can send you one. I deal with large things that get dragged down the highway to and from the mines in my area of Northern Minnesota. A D-11, loader, face shovel or a haul truck, some times loaded on 2 trailers side by side pulled by 2 trucks side by side and down the road they go. Love the content you have, never the same stuff, and thanks for that.
@@ducewags no you can’t, because it flat out doesn’t exist. There are no two ways about that.
@@CaseyLaDelle Well how do we drag 100+ ton stuff down the road? Things like the main boom on a PC-8000 come to mind. Have a look at just 1 place in my area, Ellefson Off Highway, they have some videos here on the tube to watch. You did heavy haul back in the day, right?
@@ducewags I still do. But if you had even half a clue what you were talking about when it comes to equipment transport or heavy haul you would understand what I said in my previous replies.
I recognize Jessie's house. I put the power into it years ago. Even looked at it to buy and finish as it was left unfinished by the original owner/ builder. Always wanted to see it finished. Thanks for the content you provide. Not fake just life.
I love when I read a comment by someone familiar with something in a video. Glad to see you got to see it finished.
Who else just learned what a hay squeeze is?
I didn't learn what one is or what it does; I saw them being built, I saw them being driven, I didn't see anyone use one.
@@brocharliebThey lift a group of hay bales 8feet by 8feet and 8feet tall. That is referred to as 1 squeeze. They off load a truck in less than an hour, way less. They can also lift the huge super bales.
Whay is hay? I haven't seen that the last 50 years!
Me!
go to bales hay and ranch to see in action
Kudos to the guy that let you tour and film their facility, thanks for taking use along. I used to see squeezes running on the highways/freeways here in South Californacate but not for a long time now. Too many two legged animals pushed the four legged ones out, something about smell, fly's, slow farm equipment, real estate, things that make a farm work. Thanks for sharing.
I’ve seen one getting on the freeway a couple of times in Menifee CA, last saw it a couple months ago.
Those punch outs are from when they make the poles for like stop signs, traffic signs and other metal pole signs. In the late 90s I used to work for an over head door company and we used those "leftovers" for the door counter weights. That is the coolest manufacturing operation I've seen in awhile!!
Puts a whole new meaning to “My main squeeze”!
OK, another first for us Arm-Chair Generals. Always enjoy the world you live and work in - Thanks for sharing.
Always something new with Casey! Impressive equipment and plant. Thanks for sharing!
As a former U K tradeplater, delivering "large vehicles" I've driven some odd vehicles on the road from Merc Unimogs with off road tyres to a 60 foot airport fire engine chassis. But 200 miles in a bale lifter , you sir are crazy, I honestly thought it was a "wind up" and they were going on your flat bed , but you did it !
Bay squeezes are cool. They’re a great system. We can’t use them here in Montana because they’d be stuck constantly. We load a lot of hay in the fall, winter, and spring and we know how semis love mud and deep snow.
OK, I have never seen anything like this before in my life. KC I believe you’re going to need to make a video showing these things working.
I have quite a few of them
Please give me a video name. I’ll look it up.
@@curtismcmullen2124 the end of this video links to one
I watched your hay squeeze video absolutely amazing. I never knew this type of thing existed. Thank you, thank you thank you.
Loved seeing the old drill press! I thunk it's cool that people keep those old machine tools operating. Things were built so well in those days.
That whole manufacturing facility was cool.
Thanks for another
That thing is a radial arm drill at my last job, we had one from 1930. My first ever job with that company was rebuilding it. You wanna talk about old iron, we bent the crap out of a jib crane
@@mhmadgeniousyes I thought that machine was at least 1940. When I first started in a machine shop we had a Radial arm drill press like that. Ours was not quite that big, about 1/2 or a little bigger. This drill was made for certain things and did it well. Spent my life working in machine shops, loved it.
@genegoodman5233 someday I'll make it back to a machine shop. I got a pretty good gig as a facility mechanic but I do miss it
Wow, who would have thought that hay makes so much money? Nice castle. And thanks Casey for the variety on your channel.
Hay is huge money.
Who would have thought? Anyone who buys hay! Lol
Saudi Arabia bought farm land in Arizona a few years back to grow water-intensive alfalfa that they exported back to SA for their own cattle. I think AZ recently cancelled their water lease due to public pressure.
Hay has a very low production cost is most areas. The cost of the equipment is the most expensive thing.
I have a friend that when he saw a truck like that said "I want to see the truck that made the money to build that one".
That's a very interesting thought. Now I'm curious.
This is amazing. The factory tour is very educational for one who is not from a farming area. To see the thickness of the steel and size of the drill bits is unbelievable. And the workmanship of the guys who do the welding and machining is impressive. Seeing this video and comments impresses on you how important farming is to us and to the economy. This video enables us to realize the importance of a product that perhaps many of us take for granted. Without a good supply of hay, farmers would not be successful.
My great grandfather had a farm 20 miles south of Washington, DC, on US Route 1. His children inherited the land and divided it. Part was sold and the women retained lots on one dirt road. My grandfather, being the only male, kept his portion intact, which he later divided for his six children as each married. Of course that was the end of the farm, and my aunts were glad they no longer had to be working on the land. One tractor was the only machine. Many farms in that area disappeared and became asphalt roads cluttered with shopping strips, subdivisions with small lots, and apartment complexes. Seeing that development is sad.
So Casey, you are more than a tow operator. You share beauty that still exists in our great country.
When everyone has six children you can expect more roads, strip malls, subdivisions and apartments.
@@magicbox9371 Actually, the growth was accelerated by immigration and people moving into the area from other states. Of course, the local county governments had to authorize land developers to build, build, build (zoning).
@@Muksanim2012 are you saying that I don’t make steel parts up to 14 inches thick on a cutting table with 6 heads three times bigger than in the video Kemosabe?
@@magicbox9371 No. I was saying that I am not from a farming area and I am not familiar with the huge machinery used to handle the massive number of hay bales seen in this video.
Definitely the Rooster Cruiser of hay squeezers 💲💲
Man,those are beasts. They’re built like tanks. Sure wouldn’t want to hit one on the highway.
I had an idea what it was but never saw one work but when I typed in hay squeeze after watching this video i was able to watch Casey's video from a year ago called Sqeezing Hay.
I can imagine the dialogue:
- Hey, Casey, I need to get two "vehicles" with no suspension for 200 miles. You got that lowbed or we just drive them?
- Nah, just drive them, I don't wanna detach the Zacklift.
=)
More like I don’t want to spend two days and 800 miles running the lowbed for something we could just go down and drive back in one.
@@CaseyLaDelle you're naming a serious reasoning here, I was more to joking. =)
What is the weight of one of them?
@@leelahd4428 Over 30000 lbs each apparently
I liked and got the joke version 😂😂
I was surprised these vehicles are that fast on the road, most agricultural stuff in the UK isn't that fast and over a long distance gets shifted by truck and trailer or low loader, which is what we'd call that type of trailer.
I've seen plenty of tractor-style squeezers, but this is the 1st time I've seen one like that. Very cool!
This video was very different but very entertaining, and I learned a lot of different things. That was a great idea. Bringing all kinds of industries together in one place. Thank you for sharing! 👌
Love those old radial drills. The aerospace company I worked for had all the latest and greatest CNC machines and in the middle of the shop was this old radial drill about a third larger than than that Cincinnati, it had a brass plate that said US BUREAU OF SHIPS 1936.
You’re always doing things to help friends. You always enjoy what you’re doing. You are one of the people that helps make America a better place. No complaining, enjoy making things better………I loved watching you and your daughter take a few extra pieces of FREE candy. Later in life your daughter will think back on that day and laugh at the great candy caper. Thanks for sharing.
Baseline models have less bells and whistles to break down. These are working girls😂😂😂.
You're going to have to show how those hay squeezes work!! I have never seen one.
He has videos of them.
Never heard of a hay squeeze before..
That look on his face was priceless right at the end of your clip.. Got em
He said "we can" like it didn't bother him but there was definitely that lil pause where he was cursing you out in his head😂
Love the factory tour.
Last I heard it was a 3 year wait to get a new squeeze from Sunny "D" which is the only manufacturer now.
I was seriously thinking about manufacturing new squeezes. There is so many improvements that could be implemented into the design. I have rebuilt and re-powered a few squeezes throughout the years. I made many improvements to the ones I worked on. I installed a 12.7 Detroit with an Allison tc-10 hydraulic fully automatic transmission in one of them. I added shifter buttons to the steering wheel the allows for instant switching between forward and reverse. If I designed my own squeeze it would definitely have suspension on the drive axle, I was thinking about some type of hydraulic accumulated system system that could be switched to rigid mode with the flip of a switch.
What about airbags that drop to a rigid stop when dumped?
I haven’t been leaving my “help Casey’s algorithm” comment as much as in the past. But I truly thought you were joking about driving them, and going to load them on the lowboy. 😂
That's the kind of Event a few folks will learn and connect the dots/Folks and make a fortune.
I learned what a hay squeeze is because of Casey and Jesse. I did not know a hay squeeze could travel at safe highway speed, maybe not comfortable with no suspension! Those hay squeezes make it possible for Jesse to afford that beautiful house and property, no shame there. Always enjoy seeing Casey's shenanigans with his great cohorts. Stay safe and GOD bless
I remember speaking to Flint Mcvey quite a few years ago at Truckin' for Kids. Super top notch guy. Nice trucks and nice squeezes.
Also super nice to see Jesse in a video. Been watching some of his content for quite a while as well. For sure has a nice hay movin' fleet.
Great learning experience with this video. Never knew something like this existed. Pretty cool, thanks Casey.
Thanks Casey, I ran a Radial Arm drill press a little smaller than that when I first started working in a machine shop. I would love to see the hay squeeze at work. I guess it’s a fancy fork lift. Get use some more info if you can. Be sure to video that meeting in September.
I did a short stint hauling hay. By far my favorite trucking job. So much variety, winding country roads and beautiful scenery. Prob one of the tippiest, top heavy loads you can haul. Great vid. Sweet squeezes.
Just saw this my family invented the squeeze back in the sixties glad to see they’re still useful.
I had never seen one of those squeezes until watching your channel and we have lots of hay around where I live.
Very cool rigs. Thanks for the indepth look at the manufacturing.
I'm a farmer in NE Washington and have always wanted to see inside the road runner shop to see how they're built. I'm actually in the process of building my own version of a road runner so that kenworth conversion has me very intrigued. Thanks for the neat video
That red hay squeeze is crazy....
It is fancy because it may be used for loading Cannabis bales or Hemp bales. I call these machines a Bale Squeezer. Alfalfa/Tobacco growers are switching to Hemp or Cannabis. So, we load 30,000 pounds of cannabis bales on Casey's flatbed from the farm to the processing facility is 500 miles. Retail for 1 pound in My State is $5000.00. His load is 150 million. Will you take 1 million dollars Casey to haul it 500 miles? And this is the new America. Medicinal growers in my State can have 4500 plants and recreational growers can have 200 plants. Each plant minimum can produce 1 pound each. If my state law says trucking cannabis is illegal across state lines, then how is that Belushi Farm Products from Oregon are ending up in New Mexico Dispensaries? Tommy Chong's from California are supposed to be coming too! Up In Smoke remastered.
Looks like SUNNY D MANUFACTURING if so they are about 100 miles north of me
That squeeze is pimped.🤘
I never knew what those things where or used 4,that custom red and black 1 was sick, love it
Trevor Bales is drooling.
Yessir I also just learned what a hay squeeze was. I've been to Klamath falls Oregon quite a lot to the door making facility there.. Beautiful area of Oregon for sure!
You always show us some of the most amazing equipment and places 😊
Great job guys. Thank you 😊
It was pretty neat to see the making of a hay squeeze. 😊
Ah, yes... the things we do for friends, and the things friends ask us to do! Gotta love 'em!
Hay (play on words) Casey, I know a really good Chiropractor in Eugene. You're gonna need one after 200 miles on Hwy 97! lol I was moving rubber-tired equipment on Hwy 97 one winter and those ruts, well, with the right amount of ice it was like we were on rails. The scary part is when someone approaches you at a high rate of speed with the intent to pass, and about time they'd turn their steering wheel and they kept coming straight at me I'm sure they sucked the vinyl off their seats!
Interesting , Thank You for the tour of the factory and showing how they are made . Reminds me of the time I drove my Combine home from the auction . ( 7700 Jd , 15 Ft. pick up header ) , 70 miles at 17 mph . Farmer legal . Thankfully it had a some what suspended seat.
The pimped out squeeze needs long horns on the hood.😂😂😂.
Like taking a field trip. Thanks Casey!
I’m part of Jessie’s hay group. Great guy. Cool and small world Casey.
Really enjoy all your videos! Especially enjoyed the “Hay Squeeze” videos. We live on a farm in North Carolina and have sold hay for years…that is an amazing operation. Thanks for sharing it.
Those are beautiful machines and the factory is quite busy. Love the welding rotisserie.
Neat video! Learned a lot. We really enjoy your videos because we are somewhat familiar with your area. Have traveled Hwy. 97 thru Oregon numerous times. Beautiful country!
Learned something new! Interesting video on how hay squeezes are made. Always enjoy your adventures with Jessie.
Nice wee trip out Casey 😎👍
love the farm type videos, well i like all the types you upload
GREAT VIDEO.....I NEVER HEARD OF A HAY SQUEEZE BEFORE THIS VIDEO.....(YES.....I AM FROM THE CITY).....NOW I HAVE TO GO FIND OUT WHAT IT DOES.....THANKS CASEY.....
That was different, impressive piece of engineering, thanks for the ride.
Thats some heavy machines....Well built....Stay safe and see you on the next one Casey
Very cool machines! Many other uses with these in addition to moving hay.
That is wild
So cool seeing how they are built. Damn those hat trucks are so nice. His home is so beautiful and the landscape is also so beautiful
They are so great to unload the semi load of hay and put in the barn .
I love you, Casey all your videos are fun to watch and this one was one of the best
Wooow that's definitely futuristic equipment. 😊😊😊.
Very cool episode, Casey! I really enjoyed your behind the scenes of manufacturing a hay squeeze. That was some 200 mile ride.
Another amazing and very entertaining KC adventure😊
that was pretty cool to see.
Love seeing this video! So cool that you got to see the shop where there made! Also cool to see you driving one through my town. Thanks for the video Casey. I couldn't wait for this one. 😂
I grew up in Klamath falls lived there all my life cool to see it in Camara
So cool totally enjoyed
Another nice video. Thanks
At the end of this video, you attached a video about the hay squeezer. Thank you. In the video you mentioned where the hay would go next. If you could please post that video, I would appreciate it. I say I would but I am sure many other viewers would also enjoy seeing it.
That looked like a great adventure
I did a lot of haying dwn on the farm back in the day. Back then a "hay Squeeze" was when you met your pretty young cousin in the hay loft.
Neat. Did a quick search to see what they cost -- Looks like last year new ones ran $250,000, bet Jesse paid more now. Also found a Yahoo Finance article featuring Jesse and his company Bounds Hay Co. 👍
Good work!
One thing I really love about your content, showcasing other things like your friends' businesses, or exploring abandoned mines up in the hills, or givinghonestreviewsona productthat nobody asked for your opinion. Just something for everyone. And yes, I knew what a Hay Squeeze was because of your previous video(s).
love Casey's in Klamath falls. got property in Sprague river Oregon and they stayed open all during covid and i supported them the whole time, would recommend anyone to stop and eat there. also love your videos man!
Wow. That facility it pretty awesome. I have seen plenty of machines on the road. But never how they are made.
Never heard of one before. Interesting!
Looks fun.
Woow 255r tyres, truly amazing,
Good morning Casey this was a different video and a lot of fun. Seeing two hay squeezes driving down the road would definitely be interesting
Great video my company builds the fiberglass hoods great to see a factory tour 👍🏻
So funny, I saw you guys driving these. I wondered if you were in those.
Nice excursion vlog. Good bizzy,
The patio is definitely the coolest part of the castle...
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Those are cool!
Appreciate the content...
Damn.. I want a burger now 🤣🤣Thanks for the video..
