How to get a pontoon boat off a flatbed trailer!

- The Cultus Lake Resort is getting a new pontoon boat and needed a hand getting it off the flatbed truck and trailer that delivered it, so I took the rollback down to use as a portable loading ramp. The resort has camping, cabins, a restaurant, and rents pontoon boats and jet skis. My family and I have rented pontoon boats from them in the past and highly recommended checking them out if you're looking to spend some time at one of the most beautiful Cascade Mountain lakes in the area! You can find them at www.cultuslakeresort.com
And in the winter time they rent snowmobiles as well at cascadelakesadventures.com/

I feel like after 2 years of watching these videos I could come work for Casey. Right now. I know all of the terminology, I have been through all of his online training courses, and I know where all of the equipment goes on all of the trucks.
Me too ! When do we start ! Im doing alot of the. Work & no pay ?
Same here. But I'm getting to be like Grumpy 😅
I'm glad you have kept your truck, for just jobs like this. Great job.
The language barrier was cracking me up because I’ve been there 😂
Especially when calling in for support. Wish they would add a chat, even if it is a AI
if you know hand gestures and how to make proper faces then you don't need language to communicate.
It wasn't a language barrier more lack of comprehending on the truck driver.
Yes
Very cool method to unload a flatbed! That was slick! And, Casey is a Trucker’s Trucker - knows the equipment well! I love how you help out the local businesses with getting their message out too - that’s how you build a wonderful community!!! Awesome video!!!
I don’t know why, but your transaction with the other drive made me think of the old SNL sketch “Cheeseburger, cheeseburger, cheeseburger!”
I love the Zack, but man am I glad the rollback is back in action! (Kinda miss the jeeps a bit, but that's just because as I'm nearing retirement I've been considering rebuilding a 70's or 80's jeep...)
Is it a forklift? Is it a crane? No! It's SUPERROLLBACK!
I must emphasize with the driver, not only his commands of English, but he remembers the last time he required you Casey, eventually he will improve hopefully. 😊.
Sure nice of them to name the mountains after your company
I think keeping the Rollback (for now at least) was one of the best decisions you've made. I totally understand that if someone was to walk up with the right amount of money that it would be gone, but in the meantime, it sure rounds out your abilities!!
You are one clever man Casey. Yeah, that truck is worth keeping.
I just love the variety of your channel. I just got out of the hospital after a week. I watch all of your videos. I just found out I have CMML LEUKEMIA and throat cancer. I go into surgery next Wednesday for my throat. So thank you for the laughs and oh crap moments 😂😂😂. Your awesome. I use to be a patreon member but due to all this I'm having cut back. I drive almost 300 miles round trip to my Doctors😮
I hope it all works out well for you.
I'm praying for a successful surgery and recovery. Also for your healing of leukemia!
A positive attitude and Casey's videos will do wonders.
Prayers & Attitude! Makes all the difference! I'm back in my 2nd remission with AML Leukaemia, so I know where you're at, kinda thought after 7.25 years, lol, then last Aug, back on the cycles... Keep grinning, it keeps folks wondering, plus you'll feel better about all your dealings with others! Good Luck!
Praying for you and a positive outcome! Stay strong and kick cancers ass!!!!
Amazing to watch a true professional at work!!!!!
I haven't been to that one, but you're right, that area is beautiful.
You never cease to surprise me😊
It looks like those SeaDoo pontoons would be a lot of fun.
I had a race boat flat bedded from California to Indiana. My buddy worked for a company that had ramps to dump grain from complete semi's. He raised the ramp and lowered it on the back edge of the semi trailer. I backed my pickup up the ramp and on to the semi trailer, hooked up and drove off.
This is exactly the reason both trucks have their place in the grand scheme of things. Excellent work as in slow and steady with no damage. Good job Casey and Thanks again for the videos.
Is this driver the same gentleman you helped a few videos back? I so admire the way you treat everyone with such dignity and respect.
Nope
Seemed he might have recognized you! Lol!
Yeah, I think you made a really good choice to keep your roll back.
No! Why not? Oh sorry my English not so good. Love it!!
Oh man. I for sure thought casey was building up to loose it on the guy for flat out saying No 😆
Don’t forget to put your rocks back Matt got in trouble for that 😎
Contrived
Matt who??
Congrats Casey, on getting the owners Pontoon Boat off of the Flatbed trailer. loads of fun will be had in the boat in june.
THAT WENT SMOOTH!!
Good morning, America and Casey! Oregon is one beautiful state and with YT influencers like Casey that KNOWS sign languages! Truck down and trailer up! Very entertaining!
What’s good way to spend the morning over my second cup of coffee!
And Casey says he is “ Not Good at This”. Ha Ha Ha
I'm agreeing with both of you!
Gotta love the simplicity of an inclined plane.
I’ve just watched you move a boat from a trailer to a roll back to the ground and I don’t know why, but I was entertained.
Also, cultus lake is a provincial park in BC
Love the variety of stuff you get into
Excellent job as always! Keep the videos coming, Love them all😎
Enjoyed the heck out of that.
That was a great way to unload that boat and didn't cost an arm and a leg for a big crane or forklift!
Love your hat!!!! I'm a Mike fan too!!!
Ouuhhh, boat stuff?
Is for mee?? 😆
Casey, You are a jack of all trades when it comes to moving things. The variety of tasks you share with us is great to watch.
Respect to you for all of the local (and semi-local) advertising and recommendations that you do. I'm sure many of them pay you in kind and it's a win win for both. Patronizing locally owned companies and businesses is the essence of community spirit.
Glad you took control on this one. And you did it so nicely. Attaboy CASEY
People may say that you you don't need half of the "things" that you have, but every item seems to have a use, even if it is not what the makers expected. Excellent work as usual Sir. Keep on being yourself.
Nicely done sir. only hitch was the language difference between the other truck driver and what you were trying to tell him to do. All's well that ends well.
Once again proof that some jobs are Roll Back Jobs and some are Zacklift Jobs. Perfect job for the roll back! You know you haven't been understood when you ask for action and the other person nods, says yes and doesn't move! 😅
Time to go back to Cultus Lake to do some camping, drive up to the top of the mountain, and maybe rent a boat.
I have never seen something like this before. It was just awesome. Casey is just calm and cool 👏
The person that invented the plastic skates for for winching really needs to be in a hall of fame somewhere.
One free boat rental 😂. Another one for the books bud
I am sure it needs a shake down cruise😊
So....
Your going to take a vacation,
How dare you.
Hahaha hahaha 🤣
Well deserved
The pros make it look easy.
5:40 Ahh... The old tradition of percussive maintenance that seems to never go out of fashion. On the other hand it seems to be extremely reliable solution to a lot of different problems :D
My buddy transports a lot of trailers on his rollback and to give him more control I built him a little remote control electrical box that works with 12v dewalt batteries that he can plug into trailers and apply the brakes to stop the trailer or to create drag.
Nice job! This Cultus lake Oregon, not to be confused with Cultus lake near Chilliwak British Columbia. Sounds like a nice resort. Thanks for the video Casey.
Hey Casey,
The simplicity of that job messes with some people's minds.
They think is has to be much harder.
That truck of yours is definitely a keeper. What a versatile piece of equipment. If you had that fitted with a hiab crane you would be made.
Nice job Casey! The roll-back is doing a fine job. I understand why you kept it and also have the other equipment. You have a large range of job types you can handle. More jobs= more money!
All in all ... even with the language barrier ... it went well ... and at the end he did a bit of advertising ....
Casey is such a nice guy ... his wife made a good catch !!!
Industrial carriers are much more expensive than the typical rollback truck. But totally seem have more options in the field Keep it up Casey
They are incredibly expensive. This truck and bed setup brand new is in the 350-400k range.
Digging the G.F.Y.M. hat
I know you wouldn't do this but I kept having this picture of someone, somewhere, driving a flatbed into water to float the pontoon boat off😂 Thank you for this video!
Cultus Lake really is beautiful. A large natural mountain lake, not a reservoir. When I was small, my father had a friend who owned a float plane. He had a contract with the Forest Service to plant fish in many of the Cascade Lakes, and the Oregon Cascades have a lot of good-size lakes.
This one was fascinating! I had absolutely NO IDEA how you'd accomplish this! Nice. And good advert for the resort. Also nice!
I did something like this to get a car out of a box truck that a friend shipped out here to Oregon. Loaded it in on the dock where he worked, drove it out here, and had a rollback help unload it.
Slick. Well done.
There's a coincidence; we have a Cultus Lake in British Columbia too!
Nicely done . I miss working the tilt trays . Injured at work a bit over 7 yrs and 14 operations later I’m still no closer to work and doctors have said I won’t drive again for a living 😢
I’m so glad we didn’t sell the International
Done that few times with cars and small equipment. Makes world of difference if both understand what's going on.
Casey ledelle, I don't think you could have done this job as easily with the Zaclift, I bet you're glad you kept your rollback now.
So that is a seadoo switch plastic pontoon boat with controls like a jetski, easy to drive. They also have reconfigurable seats and accessories. Lots of Mt Biking in area too and a loop trail around the lake.
Casey you need to get a garmin backup camera for the flatbed. lol
😊😊😊😅😅😮
Isn't the backup camera on the zacklift (that is too frequently messed up) a garmin? Casey cusses it out regularly for freezing.
@@davebrown9725 you missed that joke.... he would NEVER get another garmin.
Nicely done. Coming from a Service Manager @ Jones Boys Boats Ainsworth BC. Textbook!
We used to do the same thing with a prototype transit bus. We would load it on our Landau trailer and “jump” it to a step deck then rent a Landau at the other end to off load it. Worked great. Driver wasn’t a whole lot of help.
You made that look easy
Who needs a crane when you got Casey around.
Good job getting it done and nice to see that you were patient with the guy and the language barrier. I need to get one of those soft shackles, they’re great!
Dude!!!
Lovin the new “Hat Cam”. !
Used to go to Cultus Lake waaaaay back in the 1960's. Probably the same only better.
I love your videos
That's using your head. I definitely see you need both trucks for the variety of jobs you have. Great video again.
🙂 maybe a language barrier but at Teaching moment nonetheless. You warm my cold heart, Casey 😁 Love to the family ❤
Nicely done, Casey! Rollback worked perfectly for that!
Nice, worked well.
I did some rollback equipment hauling throughout my career in an equipment dealership. You have a lot newer equipment but I recall using some of the same loading/unloading techniques you employed. Good memories! Safe safe, Casey!
Love that roll back
Nice job squaring your unit to his:)
Good horse camping up that way also.
Nice.. I like seeing the rollback now and then. Thanks for the video
You are a master of your trade! That was an impressive job!
Casey your like slick rick from turtle creek. Pretty slick what you did
The shenanigans-truck is back at again! :D
Absolutely love the beautiful PNW. Long haul driver that's seen all the lower 48, amazing country out there but wouldn't wanna live anywhere else than the PNW.
Pretty slick way of doing that
Interesting, up here in BC, Canada we have a Cultas Lake too! It is about an hour from Vancouver, BC ( Yes, we have a Vancouver too) and has water park as well.
That's a nice but expensive (I remember you mentioning the monthly payment) portable ramp Casey! Glad you still have it cause it worked perfectly for this job and does for others as well.
Looks easy with the right equipment. Stay safe.
Interesting unloading, always something new or different. Thanks for the Cultus lake recommendation. We second honeymooned in Bend, years ago, this looks even better.
That was fun. Clever use of the roll back.
Someone is “getting good at this!” 😝
I don't plan on joining another cult but hopefully Cultus Resort is still fun.
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!
Nicely done Casey...
I wonder if it would go this smoothly with a tracked wheelchair...??
He would probably be able to figure that out too!
Nice work.
Morning brother
Thanks for posting another learning experience for me
Nice time spent watching while drinking coffee number two on second day of duck season, must of been one lone duck flying over the nearby lake at 630 am as every hunter opened up 😂😂
Thanks again for your work and hope you and all you hold dear stay safe and healthy 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🤙🏼🤟🏼🖖🏼
Great video thank you!
A lot less snow than two years ago. I had to drop off some packages for a Pacific Crest Trail hiker in late June and most of the resorts still had snow on the ground. Years ago, my family stayed in Detroit Lake area in August and there was still lots of snow.
