Hey gotham, i am 15 and you inspired me to play chess my elo is about 350 and i want to just tell you i love your content so keep going your very talented and thank you for getting me into chess!
Your Elo will grow very fast... i would say, in one year you will break the 1000 elo barrier, if you play a lot and exercise a lot. In another year you will break easily 1500. After around 1500 it gets tricky. A lot of players stick around 1500-1700 their whole life. So it depends how much you like to improve. 2000 also can achieved in 2-3 years i would say. Time is definetely on your side.
6:15 You have this frase a lot: "you do this very very quickly" like what do you actually mean with quickly? like, as in the next move if there are no threats on you? or move it in a split second so you dazzle your opponent with quickness! or can it be like in the next 3 moves? like is that still quickly 🤨
Engine evaluates the position, not the players. Are you sure you are gonna say that position was almost equal if it were you with the white against the legend
@@DineshR0321 Of course I would lose this position against Karpov but I would lose basically every position against Karpov unless I have something like four extra queens. And I know that this structure is bad but when you talk about a position being borderline lost, for me that sounds like there is no hope in the position. And not because your opponent is 2000 Elo points higher rated than you.

Same here true be true, and when I was 4, I defeated all of my family members, relatives, etc. Except, my maternal grandfather ofcourse, who was nicknamed Vishwanathan (anand) in city. I lost my passion for chess after. I back now, 8 months in, I am 1700 online
I learned at 4. But had my dad thought to try and teach me at 3 I'm pretty sure I would have been able to. I think it just didn't cross his mind as a possibility until he just happened to have a friend over and pulled out a chess board to play his friend and then saw I was interested in the game.
The kid is undoubtedly exceptional! The first puzzle was actually fairly simple, and I saw the solution at the first glance. The second puzzle was more challenging and quite interesting, but it was still solvable, as there was nothing else to do if the back-rank mate was to be avoided. But the third puzzle-oh, my God! I failed to recognize the solution to that problem because, contrary to conventional wisdom that having only a king + a knight or a bishop is not enough to mate the opponent's king, I had not even considered the idea that one of the two figures should have to be sacrificed.
This is Russian TV so I'd be skeptical. The kid must have seen something similar to the third puzzle before and had an idea what to do. It's pretty incredulous for a three-year-old to solve that one out of the blue in front of an audience with limited time, especially considering that this kid is now about 10 and 1173 rated. If he had done that third puzzle out of the blue at that age, surely he'd be 2000 by now without even trying hard.

@@kuman0110 he is 10 and he is 1200 fide
@@aroukatos537 That is not good
@@ScholarlyCynic nahh it's decent for a 10 year old, FIDE ratings are more standardized, and it shows quality.
0:05 I do know these statistics, you told us in a previous video.
as a retired 5 yr old super grand ultra chess master (has beaten stockfish 680 times in a row) and i can confirm this 3 year old is very unskilled
I'm impressed by your Russian pronounciation, very clear, almost no accent.
That's just one more thing I like about this channel, along with making chess actually fun (which my mom failed to do when I was 7 or so)
And I just learned that he's basically fluent in russian, wow
@@JTCF i've been thinking he might just speak russian for a while now. He always makes a great effort to pronounce things correctly, but the russian is on another level
In fact, His nationality is Russian
@@minephlip он как-то говорил, что в детстве его английскому даже не учили, то есть до школы он только по-русски говорил. Для него он - родной язык
@@JTCF his family speaks russian, so he has always spoken russian and it's a co-primary language
I find it cool how kids this young learn to view chess as a puzzle more than a game, which I think helps them learn to play more attentively
i wasnt even born yet when i started playing chess
I hope the kid doesn't get stressed from all the expectations. He could reach such heights if he keeps playing.
Hes now 10 and 1100 elo
Hey gotham, i am 15 and you inspired me to play chess my elo is about 350 and i want to just tell you i love your content so keep going your very talented and thank you for getting me into chess!
Our stats are almost the same
Your Elo will grow very fast... i would say, in one year you will break the 1000 elo barrier, if you play a lot and exercise a lot. In another year you will break easily 1500.
After around 1500 it gets tricky. A lot of players stick around 1500-1700 their whole life. So it depends how much you like to improve. 2000 also can achieved in 2-3 years i would say. Time is definetely on your side.
I remember when I was 350 lol
Bro literally start playing chess when he was in side his mother's womb
I feel so proud of myself for solving the puzzle at 16:25 in 20 seconds.
Don't care
6:15 You have this frase a lot: "you do this very very quickly" like what do you actually mean with quickly? like, as in the next move if there are no threats on you? or move it in a split second so you dazzle your opponent with quickness! or can it be like in the next 3 moves? like is that still quickly 🤨
Engine says -0.7
Levy: borderline lost
Engine evaluates the position, not the players.
Are you sure you are gonna say that position was almost equal if it were you with the white against the legend
@@DineshR0321 Of course I would lose this position against Karpov but I would lose basically every position against Karpov unless I have something like four extra queens.
And I know that this structure is bad but when you talk about a position being borderline lost, for me that sounds like there is no hope in the position. And not because your opponent is 2000 Elo points higher rated than you.
And then he sacrificed... HIS AGE!!!
Wild to think that he might not even remember this
Anatoly Karpova!! (Boss music kicks in)
As smart as a 3 year old is not a insult in chess now
I am 15, feeling myself that I won a chess tournament with 8 and now I feel like the biggest noob and looking at this video trying to learn something from your video instead of learning for my test tomorrow… I love you Levy! For real! Keep it up I guess we all need this small inspiration for noticing how bad we really are.
get back to your study my friend chess will never leave you but tomorrow you are tested over something else you can shine in
levy at 16:20, black can't take the knight the pawn is pinned by the bishop. its kind of the point of the entire position.
Learnt to move the pieces age 6 or 7, haven’t a clue what I was thinking at 3 but it sure wasn’t chess.
Fun Fact: I also learned Chess with 3 (true I Swear) But I only knew how the pieces move.
Thats seems... barely believeable...
Same here true be true, and when I was 4, I defeated all of my family members, relatives, etc. Except, my maternal grandfather ofcourse, who was nicknamed Vishwanathan (anand) in city. I lost my passion for chess after. I back now, 8 months in, I am 1700 online
@@AirtimeAdrenaline not it is completely possible
I learned at 4. But had my dad thought to try and teach me at 3 I'm pretty sure I would have been able to. I think it just didn't cross his mind as a possibility until he just happened to have a friend over and pulled out a chess board to play his friend and then saw I was interested in the game.
@@xerowolf4242 yep, I believe you!
The Karpov + Dark Souls music is one of of the memes of all time
I was so proud of myself for figuring out all the 3 puzzles on my own and then realized a 3 year old was able to do it....

Most people don’t know his less known brother STOCK-FISH-ER😂😂😂 (who was actually better than him!)
That last puzzle was brutal... 3 years old Jesus i don't think people can imagine the amount of talent the kid has. I'm just 1100 but that last puzzle i couldn't solve for the life of me lmao
