My respect for Levy has just multiplied. Playing blindfolded has always been to me the hardest skill in chess, as I can't make the right move without a blindfold, much less keep track of all the pieces on the board.

There are lots of tragic stories of children failing their parents. Then again, there are lots of heartwarming stories of children taking over their parents work successfully. Anna already did succeed because she is one of the most listened to chess teachers, her being better than 99% of all chess players AND being smart about how to use new media being the reasons. The winning idea was to play Qe2+ (instead of Levy's Qa8+) and then after Kg1 (Kh3 Qg4+ Kh2 Qg3#) Kg3! and white can't defend the mate on f2.

This is because different areas of the brain are engaged into these 2 activities. I'm only around 1300 rating, but can also visualize a board with pieces on it and play a game in my head, all while watching a YT video and reading comments. I think anyone can do this, at least for a short period of time. But once the game gets complicated, I do tent to "get lost" and loose track of some pieces. To be able to do this flawlessly for 15+ minutes, like Levy does here.. yeah, that's hard, I can't do that. Probably just comes with years of training and experience.
