I looked at latencyMon after all this and I went from highest measured latency from 191 to 172.20 that’s dope bro same with average 5.8 to 2.9 that’s dope bro thanks
Thanks for posting, quality and professional video. Which mice would you recommend? Ive been eyeing the Superlight 2 but yet to pull the trigger on it.
The Superlight 2 should be fine. As there were quite a few complaints of mouse acceleration on Reddit with the original Superlight. Have you looked at Tech PowerUp Review of the SL 2? It's better then the original.
Facts. I optimized in a way that allowed my ingame performance in cs2 to excel, but the changes diminished tasks on my second monitor like web browsing. In the end, had to revert some changes.
would be nice if it was possible to only do this on the performance cores. unfortunately the scroll lock energy core parking that some motherboards offer does not seem to make any diff. anyone know any way or to temporarily disable energy cores while gaming?
There is a video out on that. I honestly don't know how effective that is though. But from what I've heard you get higher FPS doing that with a 7950x3D then with a 7800x3d. Read this thread carefully (I haven't tried this yet) and there might be an easier way: www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/11n0mdr/maximizing_7950x3d_performance/
Hey I have a 7950x3d I want cores 0-15 untouched, I used reserved cpu sets 0-17 with core 16 reserved just for my gpu. When I look on latency Mon I see core 0 still has dpc activy even it reserved how can move this to core 18 which I’ll then reserve only for dpc
I haven't seen much on this as it's considered not safe as windows require core 0 to function. All system level functions still use core 0, To remove this can cause future problems. Which is why I haven't seen much success doing this method. So, I would honestly let windows have it's way. Let it use core 0. Just reduce the most you can for gaming. And leave it at that. It will never be 0 activity on core 0. From what I've researched.
@@eastcoasthandle which I understand I would just like to assigned a different core to that task so I don’t have to sacrifice the core 0 ( a x3d core) to windows when the core was designed for gaming
Ah yeah, I remember that now. I watched/reading that someone made a program on github (I believe) specifically for the 7950x3d. It uses the standard cores for windows leaving the x3d cores for games. Hmm, I cannot remember where I got that. It might have been on youtube. I will look into it to see if I can find it. You help out...google something along the lines of x3d cores for games only... or...uses non x3d cores for windows... something like that. I will look on my end to see if I can find where I read/watched that. Not to get your hopes up but if I recall correctly it was in beta and it was a tricky process. I'll look...
Update Ok, I remember now. It's called ReserveCPUSet. It was on github but I recall some having issues. I did a quick lookup and can't find it anymore. It was made by Amitxv. Not sure what happened. Look for a thread in reddit called "Setting CPU cores exclusive for games and Windows improves frametimes / 0.1% low" I wish I could say more on it but that's all I know at the moment.
@@eastcoasthandle thanks for looking into it do you have discord I want to share screenshots of latency mon with you. And see if you have any recommendations
Thanks for putting in all the effort in your videos!

I have the superlight 2. It's an amazing mouse. low latency but with extra tweaks (like, a LOT) I brought it down further
Welcome back

hey, i have 7950x3d
and my first 8 cores are best for gaming
but windows pegs core alot how can move it to core 16-31

Awesome video. Thank you.
where is the video that you explain how to put the mouse on another core?

Is it normal to have a igpu have core 3 and 4 on it in interrupt policy
No, not that I know of. You shouldn't need to do that with a iGPU.
@@eastcoasthandle should I take one core off then like leave 4 on and remove 3
@@tmzfoxy9814
Unless you are noticing lower latency overall I suggest not do it at all with iGPU
