Peter Duchin is a very talented and amiable gentleman. I am very inspired by him. I am playing his recordings every day. He also has been in the movies. We enjoyed him with Angela Lansbury, Peter Sellars, many others and recently Tom Hanks.
My late father, Ira Brant, taught Peter how to play popular music back in the 1960s when Peter was preparing to launch the Peter Duchin Orchestra and only knew how to play classical music. Peter mentioned him in his autobiography, which Peter signed at a book launch event at Barnes & Noble in Lincoln Center when it came out. I’m happy to find this interview today (January 2024) to see how Peter is doing. I’m sorry to learn about his stroke and COVID experience. I’ll buy a copy of his new book shortly.
The guitarist who plays the chords Peter's left hand can no longer play is Roberta Fabiano. Roberta is Peter's longtime lead guitarist and singer. She plays her parts as well as his. It's an amazing skill.
Remarkable, resilient and inspiring!

Just started the most recent book and nice to see Duchin interviewed. Hoping to find some recent video of him
Do any of you know one of his arrangers George Zinsser? He played saxophone. An old boyfiend.
