Thank you Kim SO much. You’ve made a seemingly impossibly difficult task into such an easy one. I’ve just joined a binding correctly for the first time in 20 years. Thank you.

Thank you for your video. I too have tried tools and other methods. Your tutorial is the first one that clearly showed your work and hands so it was clear how you marked, cut and opened the binding strips so they didn't end up twisted.

I am so grateful that you adjusted the camera from overhead, as if my own eyes were looking at it. I’ve often seen videos where the camera was front facing, and I had to use opposite sides of my hands to be in the same position as the demonstrator. Excellent example.

This is awesome! I have always struggled with this part. Watching other tutorials didn’t help, I wound you just “burying” one into the other.
Now to make a mock piece and give it a try! You’re always so helpful!

Watched this last night and commented, then put the binding on a quilt today and joined the ends straight away, I usually leave it until the hand binding is almost done. Surprised myself and it joined beautifully

I have had my quilt sitting on the table, because I don’t usually do binding! I’ve only added binding once. It was much easier than I thought! I’m so impatient at the finishing of my quilt I skip the binding part. I know, that’s just me. Anyways I have watched too many videos already, not satisfied, that I might mess it up. Then here you are! I did it in in one sitting! PERFECTO 🤩! Thanks so much!

Thanks Kim, excellent method and well presented. I make a lot of mug-rugs and you have such a tiny area to work with when joining binding ends, but it is great practice...after all, how often do we all get a quilt to the binding stage? By the time I get there I have always forgotten how to join the binding ends! This goes in my save folder...
