    Side-tangent: I really hate the line "beinging X to a new generation". It made sense when media was limited. Before home media, VHS rentals and the like. But in this day and age it is just a company line they use to not appear greedy. "A way to squeeze money out of something old." Sure in the 70s/80s getting a remake of a film from the 60s or earlier had it's merits. But nowadays it really isn't needed. What really stops teenagers today to watch the original Saw film? Wouldn't that be a better way of "bringing saw to the next generation"? Weeeell, there's no money in a helpful suggestion.

    It is difficult to maintain a franchise with 8 movies back to back, and they really tried, I think the production is good, well made, filmed, and edited, but the writing is again what diminishes it and leaves you unsatisfied once again

    To me, the biggest over the top "far fetched" idea, is that Logan would have the time to go dig up Jigsaw's coffin, and sneak Edgar's body out of that hospital, to put into that coffin, and put all the dirt back in.

    I hate Logan on the basis of another apprentice being so tired at this point, and the fact that they thought him being the FIRST apprentice was a good idea. I guess fuck everybody else. But at the same time, a military guy following Jigsaw had some potential.

    • @jaydeepaquette1022
      @jaydeepaquette1022 4 месяца назад

      I think, if they were going to go the "another apprentice" route once again, they should have gone with Logan being Lawrence Gordon's apprentice rather than John Kramer's, since he(Lawrence)'s technically a piece still on the figurative chessboard. He hasn't died, I think just about everyone we once didn't see die on screen throughout Saws 1-7 has come back to be killed later, and so it's safe to assume Lawrence hasn't. We also know Lawrence developed a much darker personality and helped John, and I suspect the town square trap with the cheating girlfriend and two dudes strung along by her was set up by him and his own apprentices, whom we see deliver Hoffman to him at the end of Saw 7. Logan could have been written to be one of those apprentices.

      @stephenthedude4383 I figured it out id say less than halfway through the movie. I didn't like the traps and there just wasn't really any suspense or mystery there for me.
      I had 3 people in mind who it could have been but one particular person we didn't see much of them outside of work or any family etc and I was like it's that one. I normally have an issue with trying to figure out who is responsible for everything but in spiral I just knew

    Callum Keith Rennies best role was in Hard Core Logo, a canadian mockumentary film also starring Hugh Dillon (of the rock band The Headstones and the tele show Flashpoint) where played.... Billy Talent.
    Thats right. CKR's role in Hard Core Logo is where the band Billy Talent took their name from.
    And HCL is an absolutely amazing film.

    Ok. Saw the live review and I rewatched Jigsaw again from both a normal watch and an analysis... it's like Transformers The movie 1986 for me. If I just sit to watch it with little thought, it's enjoyable. But knowing the series, motto, plot holes and lack of world diversity, it is hard to like this. I was surprised but understood why you guys bashed this one. Best things I remember watching this was Tobin Bell's appearance, the ending and lasers, and Eleanor (sorry, she is cute I won't lie 😉 😍)
