this song has such a mysterious, yet nostalgic sound to yet. The first time I ever heard it, it provoked deep memories in my mind of memories I didn't even know I had. Definitely an underrated song, from an extremely lyrically underrated band.
@@romeohio19 I was alive in all the 90s and never heard of a Third Eye Blind. I only knew of Backstreet Boys and Michael Jackson. I guess it's because I lived in Africa where music from America reaches us 3 years later.
@romeohio19 lol, the 90s were Michael Jackson's prime; but anyway, back to 3EB, I think they were probably more famous on the West Coast because my Uncle who live in San Francisco in the 1990s told me he used to listen to them after I first heard Semi-Charmed Life in 2007. I only said "underground" because I consider any band that's not heard overseas as Underground, but who knows, maybe our radio in Uganda played some of the songs without me knowing; I was only 8 in 1997 when this album came out.
"send me all your vampires" a reminder to me that we all have our own demons, but these demons do not make us wrong or horrible. Our demons are what make us human and beautiful in our own ways. The vision of vampires is dark, but also passionate and alluring. Often times we are drawn to people because of what makes them interesting and different, and more likely than not, these are their vampires we are attracted to.
Seen 3EB 5 times in the last 6-7 years or so. They've sounded great in their recent tours, but this shit is amazing. Sounds just like the album. They'll never be able to recreate this.
18yrs ago i found a home made un-Iabeled mix cd in a dumpster (i didn't have smartphone or computer) & this was one of 11 songs on cd & i never knew who it was til this year when i looked it up. deeper than bones is to me spiritual deep, like getting beyond ego by going beyond, only not "out there", but here within, there is a vAST spacious-ness available by feeling, being permeable like roots of trees
They had a reputations of not being good live but in recent years that perception has changed. I have seen them twice in the last two years and those were the best concerts I have ever attended.
I saw them for the first time live this past may and based on all the live vids i had seen of them i was expecting much, but i can honestly say it was the best concert ive seen they have so much energy live
So, these boys(seasoned rockers)may want you to believe this song is an afterthought... but, it is, in reality: THIRD EYE BLINDS- THEME SONG!!! LET THERE BE NO MISUNDERSTANDING!!!!
i saw them last week and it was one of the best concerts ive been to...they were amazing live.they even did a tribute to MJ at the end of the last encore
+Dbrand1 they'll never be anywhere near what they once were. They had all the potential and Stephan screwed it up. Don't get me wrong he's a good songwriter but in the 3 times I've seen them I just think Stephan is a jerk. The replacements (if you can call them that) are okay, I don't see a need for a keyboard player either. I don't like the direction Stephan took with TEB.
Jaz Archuleta .. hey Jazz I've always thought it was vampires but now that you say that I never thought bad vibes but now I can't hear anything else but that thanks a lot jazz I'm just kidding I think it's vampires
the fact is they sound amazing on the album. so what if they dont sound that great live in some of their appearences? they still out on one hell of a show, and always get the auidience going. stephens voice sounds awesome on albums and he has an amazing talent for song writing. bronxirish youve commented so many times on this video you realy need to get a life mate, or post some videos of you and your band doing a better job? or maybe you could write some songs and sing them live?
Stephan Jenkins and Jason Bateman look a LOT alike except I'm not sure Bateman would ever wear a shirt that looks like it was stitched from Shirley Temple's frilly britches.
That would require Stephan Jenkins paying his collaborators for their role in creating stuff with him. And that hasn’t happened, twice. Both Kevin Cadogan and his replacement Tony Friedanelli got screwed out of millions of dollars by Jenkins.
@@chuckiepeoples I was so had when I heard about the beef with him and Cadogan. If they spared the Morrissey/Mare type beef I feel like they'd have been household name rockstars
Stephan can sing incredibly well, there is a handfull of off performances, but there are a ton of amazing performances so stop downing bands on fucking youtube...
@kindralore yeh i know what you mean, its kind of the same with all their songs, they sound awesome just not as special as on the album. i want you is a perfect song though, they shouldnt even play it live

If you are here my friend, you are on the right side of internet...
"There will be no regrets when the Worms come, and they will surely come." The profundity of that line is amazing. I miss the original 3eb.
Just discovered this song a couple days ago.. been on repeat since. Its wild how amazing this song is.
i discovered it today… i adore it!!
There’s another old live version that is great also on my line wire
Most slept on Band in the World 😄🇺🇸
@romeohio19 they were? I thought they were kinda Underground? I wouldn't know 'cause in the 90s I was too young to listen to rock music.

@@romeohio19 okay, touché: I wasn't counting the Jackson 5 years.
Agree with that
Almost 20 years later....and it it still .....gets so deep into my soul.
darke812 I read your comment right as he sang that line
He says “it fits so deep into my soul” NOT “gets so deep into my soul😂🤣😅

This is still one of my favorite albums and songs of all time!
One of the greatest songs of all time. Yep, that's right.
Arion is such a badass, he brought that creativity and that unique 3eb sound to the band, guy is a rocker and one of a kind, I miss him.
The lyrics are genius!
Absolutely phenomenal performance of this song. Almost sounds better than the album version.
I remember a friend from Slovakia was visiting my wife and I in the US. He fell in love with this song. Many 3EB songs are masterpieces of music.

Just a beautiful song. That's all I can say.
One of my all time fav songs! Best TEB song hands down.

Wow. Balling thy eyes out. Absolutely outstanding.

I was totally at this show. It was at the HOB in Las Vegas.
Favorite video. From a hardcore 3EB fan. Watched since the start. Just love the originality of 3EB

This was the best line-up of this band....and to me...my fav song;) Tnx for posting;)
3eb still got it even down to the original 2 members! They'd got these kind of songs back then, classic!
Hopefully this video wont be taken down like a lot of other really great music videos have been lately!
stephan jenkins is the man...lyrics are great. the university of california at berkley literature degree shows in spades...

@dorr24 Well said..It was the same for me too, I hum this song when I smell fear entering my life!!!

Do not be decieved!...these guys may act like this song is an afterthought, but, it is in actuality, their THEME SONG!!!
Right on
It’s a shame the album version doesn’t dive into this territory.
godamn this man is so cute
right on! :)
@kindralore this song is all about affects and stuff though so its hard to make it sounds as good as it does on the album
Looks like he can kick it.
He wrote most of the songs.
The only problem I have with Stephan is what he did to Kevin, Arion and Tony. Third eye will never be as great as they were here.

i agree...i do love 3eb.but they do suck live.
this performance has absolutely ruined this song for me.
