Bioadvanced is my go to on my Bermuda lawn in warm/hot weather….even above 90 degrees. Has NEVER disappointed. Used the hose-end version of Image for Cool season Weeds for the first time this season. It works, but VERY slowly, and you may have to apply it twice - especially if you get lots of rain after applying (I did). Will probably take one more good dousing to clear up all the cool season weeds, and it DEFINITELY works better in milder, drier weather. I strongly recommend both.
I am doing a test now and have 3 kinds that are supposed to kill weeds with viable results in couple hours. After 2 days I can't tell anything other then the weeds are still growing. What actually works not a bunch of expensive water.
Now that you’ve seen the liquid weed killer for lawns, let BYD show you Step by step on Pre emergent and weed killer for lawns application, click ➡️youth.be/7UJ_M4P8wHk
Spectracide is great but you must use it when the weather is warm but not too hot because it will kill your grass. The temperature listed on the product is that it work best between 45 and 90. I have used it when it was in the 90s or slightly below and it killed my grass. I wouldn't use it again when temperature is less than 55 for more effectiveness and more than 80 to not kill my grass
Thanks The main issued I find with the hose in sprayers are the bottles themselves. Some work(spray) well and others are hit or miss. I have used Spectracide Weed Stop for a few years and it works but the bottles are very hit or miss when it comes to spraying evenly. Ortho Weed B Gon works but like Spectracide, the bottle seem hit or miss. I tried Image last spring and it worked very well to kill "poa and nutsedge" but the bottle was 32oz and listed coverage of 8000sf on the label. The bottle sprayed well, maybe a little faster than I thought it would. I have only use Bayer/BioAdvanced products for insect control. The best spray bottles I have used are the 32oz bottles(green/yellow/white) you get with Ironite 7-0-1. I will start saving them and calculate how to use them with other lawn products.
I passed on the Roundup because it said for Northern Lawns, didn’t have any luck with Bioadvance (lawn seems to have built up a resistance to Prodiamine), and we only have the yellow cap Spectracide locally. I’d rather break down the bottle into my 4 gallon sprayer, but I wouldn’t know the proper herbicide to water ratio. I was surprised by the results of the Roundup (grass and weed killer) alternative mentioned in another video. It starts off slow acting, but the next day those weeds are yellow, as opposed to curling and spotting like Roundup does within hours. Great content
Yeah, I put it down the last week of January. It did nothing to stop seedlings from germinating. All I’m saying is that my yard profile is in need of a different strategy, nothing against the content or recommended products.
I use spectracide based on your recommendations but it seems to work good for me, my lawn was 85% weeds but it is getting much better. Now its about 30%, I need to overseed before the weeds takeover again but I'm not sure when is the best time, soil temp is around 62 now, should I wait until it is at least 70? Dietrick McKinney glyphosate or any grass and weed killer. Note it’s best to do when lawn is dormant. A second may be needed. @@BYDonBermudaGrassCentral Thanks, I may try it then. The price is right. It's just for basic weeds. I dig up, down to the roots, any and all crabgrass or dallisgrass. I ain't playin'. lol
The best weed killer are the two hands God gave you. Bend over, grab a weed, and pull. If you want to go the extra mile, throw the weeds that have no seed heads, in a bucket, let them putrify, and then feed all the minerals they took up back to your lawn diluted 10 to 1 with water. No toxic chemicals, no pet cancer, you don't have to worry about killing bees or the soil microbes that feed your lawn. The best part is, since you didn't kill all the life in the soil, mother nature might not need to create more weeds again next year to try to bring balance back again. Weeds are nature's band aids. They are only there to fix the soil when its off balance. Get good soil full of life, have no weeds. Try adding compost and overseeding instead. I've never sprayed my lawn with anything since my house was built and have next to no weeds. I add compost every season, a bit of sulphur to acidify the limestone underneath, and anything I find, I rot down and feed it back. My whole neighborhood is spraying with spetracide and you can't even walk your dog anymore without suffocating from all the toxic fumes in the air, much less go work in your yard. The suburban addiction to herbicides is beyond my comprehension. I offered to weed some of my neighbors front yards and it literally took one pair of gloves, a bucket, and 30 minutes of work. It takes longer than that for you guys to drive to Home Depot...
TejasToolMan I agree with you but remember this video is about hose end power ranking for the average homeowner who wants to just spray and pray with readily easy to apply weed killer 👍🏾

I have a Dallis grass issue. What can I use to kill it off?
Dietrick McKinney glyphosate or any grass and weed killer. Note it’s best to do when lawn is dormant. A second may be needed. Only spot spray with a surfactant if possible.. this plant 🌱 is a perennial so it needs to be killed to the root. If you have an extremely large area vid do it when lawn is dormant. You’ll need to be on a pre emergent program also to try to stop 🛑 future seed germination. Understand this is a tough weed to get rid of so it may takes some time. 👍🏾
Ok, I just moved into this property and it’s infected bad with dallis grass. So will this grass die off as it gets warmer?
I’m pass the dormant stage lol because my lawn is getting greener by the day.
Dietrick McKinney fall is grass goes dormant in late fall and winter only.
So the dallis grass won’t die as it gets warmer?
Great information
👍🏾

@@BYDonBermudaGrassCentral it's good stuff 😄. I would pickup 4 bottles b4 the price pop again...
Let us know how the spray is on the bottle!
Dietrick check out the videos in the info tab.
The Spectracide insecticide didn't work for me. I'm leery of their weed killer. Anybody had good results?
Osprey Flyer I’ve always had great results when I used it but this is what the reviews said though 🤷🏾♂️
@@BYDonBermudaGrassCentral Thanks, I may try it then. The price is right. It's just for basic weeds. I dig up, down to the roots, any and all crabgrass or dallisgrass. I ain't playin'. lol
How do I contact you ?
Orthrow?
I think it is Roundup
not to c-block but just get "tenacity" off amazon and be done with weeds
TejasToolMan I agree with you but remember this video is about hose end power ranking for the average homeowner who wants to just spray and pray with readily easy to apply weed killer 👍🏾
Tenacity is awesome though 👍🏾
@TejasToolMan @Bermudagrass Central Do I need to mix tenacity with baby shampoo or dish detergent? Will it kill the Bermuda grass along with weeds?
Lady S it’s only going to kill the weeds .
