Sunday I used Weed Stop. Thursday the weeds are dead, wilted and brown. It didn't hurt my grass. Also: My lawn is greener and thicker than before which is odd. Thanks BYD!
What kind of grass do you have?
For years I have not wanted to use any kind of chemical on my lawn where the sidewalks should be nothing but weeds I gave in and bought this product because it was only $10 at Bi-Mart I don't like cooking anything up to my water hose and sprained it this is perfect I really appreciate the tutorial😊😊😊

Did this today , happy I did this before this ga heat turn up. And after a good rain day too.
As a commercial guy doing residential yards this stuff is what I buy these days for early spring spraying. I mix it a little stronger than recommended and it works great. Very cost effective. I buy the concentrate and put in my backpack sprayer and go to town. Never used the premixed version but I can say the concentrate works. Get a good sprayer with high volume nozzle because it can take a lot of pumping and spraying to get proper coverage if yard is chok full of weeds.
earthsurfer13 I’ll commend you on that because some of these PRO level guys want to seen so PRO that they won’t admit to using these chemicals. I use PRO level also but if I can head this or with Prodiamine and chemicals like this to save money I will 👍🏾, thanks Earth 🌍 Surfer 🏄 ‼️

I like the spectracide concentrate because I can refill it to a hose in sprayer, or I can add it to my 1 gallon pump sprayer for spot treatments.
I’ve been using this product for years. And I have the best looking lawn on the block! For larger areas I use a pump up sprayer, it much easier on your hand.
Great video! I'd like to add one thing. It does kill mature crabgrass. I had a late summer takeover of my entire lawn. After 3 days now all the crabgrass is dying. Great product for a good price.

A bottle covered my front lawn. I have 10k sqft. Weeds everywhere. I put it in a pump sprayer that helped a lot more. Next I’ll get about 3 more bottles to finish up my lawn. Just trusting the process.
I picked up 12 of those for 3.33 at lowes, they were missing the sprayers. Anyone who uses this remember this doesnt kill over night so be patient.

I write review/comments very rarely. I am writing here today because I think you deserve it. I like your videos in RUclips. You show how to take care of lawn with minimum expense and time, which I like most. Some RUclips channels suggest very expensive/complicated procedure. The main point is if I can spend tones of money, then I can hire a lawn care professional. I am doing this because I don’t have that much. People usually don’t find inexpensive way to take care of their lawn and then they stop taking care of their lawn. That’s why we see lots of ugly lawn in the neighborhood. Thank you.

BYD I can’t get that weed killer up here in NY because of restrictions, so I used the Spectracide granular with crabgrass preventer which we can get and put it down and I am already seeing results
Well I saw the other video where you used the blue dye and roundup sprayers and I bought all that and then stumble on this video today. 🤣 well I learned today.

I recommend just buying the concentrate and mixing with water. I have a 4 gallon backpack sprayer that makes easy work after about 4 refills. I can't stand those triggers that come with the pre-mixed. I also use spectracide concentrate bug killer in a sprayer to spray around the house it works great.
Should we spray water after using spectracide weeds weed stop for laws ?
@@mo8282 No, just mix Spectracide with water in backpack sprayer and walk the yard. This is a selective herbicide and will not damage any grass at all. After about a week all weeds will begin to turn yellow and die off.

I use the bottle that you attach to the hose I find it easier on my hands and fingers. when i use the spray bottle it makes my fingers cramp

Def won't be good after April lol. I learned last year the hard way now im spraying my yard in February, March, and April. Last year I waited too late and the weeds took over my yard smh
This helped my lawn. Not sure how much I paid for it. Hoping I can get it cheaper next time If I keep the gun sprayer. My yard had like 2 dandelions left after spot spraying a couple of times.

They had it on sale at Aldi's for 4.95 today I picked up a bottle. I've been seeing similar products IE like Roundup products for like $23 to $25 I try very hard not to overpay and look for the best deal.
That is still 15x too much.
You can buy generic 41% Glysophate for $20 a gallon and mix it with water and it works out to 32 cents a gallon.

Interesting, almost everywhere I searched for this spectracide (kills 470) all i could find is kills 250. Finally found it at HD but it looks like they just changed the label. The version that kills 250 diff weeds has the same ingredients and percentages as the 470 version...

BYD, I just sprayed that Spectracide Weed Stop for Lawns (ready to spray bottle) in my lawns last Saturday, and I checked my lawns this morning (more than 96 hours as of this morning) and all the weeds still there, not a single weed was dead at all. Can you do a follow up video to see this product actually works?? TIA.
Danny Nguyen here’s what could’ve went wrong. Your temps may have fallen again. It can take up a couple of week for them to start dying ( be patient ). Your trying to kill POA ( product does not work on that ) you have newer weeds coming up because you didn’t apply a ore Emergent. Sometime Multiple applications are needed when you have a lot of weeds. ( there’s really no store bought formula that will just annihilate all the weeds in one shoot. I’d wait at least two weeks then cut the grass and bag up at the same time.

The other bottles in the kit you showed are used at first or to continue after the first spraying? Just FYI cause I'm going to Wal-Mart now and I have the weeds from hell! I know you don't remember me but I have the yard that has 9 out of the 10 most popular weeds in the state of South Carolina! My Dad and I use to do this yard all the time and he passed in 2002 and I was in Florida and I moved back. And just started taking over in 2013! And by that time this yard was in dyer straights! So bad that it turned out to be eat up with Army Worms last year! I've hand tilled the whole yard! Front was way worse than back and I only have may be a 50×50 patch of the golf grass in the front left and desperately trying to keep that beautiful! Anyway, still have bad case of the Sedge in front and clover! And some clumps of what I thought was sedge but doesnt have the seed pods at the ends? No clue! But clumped like the sedge! Easy to pull up! Thank you for your videos and can't wait for you to see the before and after of my lawn I've worked on since last Spring! In fact, I've racked more this past year than I have my whole entire life! And couldn't have gotten these results without your videos! Thanks bunches!
BYD what do you recommend for wild onions or garlic
Most any herbicide with 2-4D will kill that. Store brand like Spectracide 470 and Image Red label for warm season Grasses.

BYD, I would replace the hose end weed killer with the Bayer Advanced because it has a preemergent. In Atlanta too. We got to chop it up about the biz in Atlanta sometime.

So when do I start adding this to my lawn? It’s January now and I’m excited to start treating my lawn. Also, there are some spots in my lawn that are muddy(I’m in Charlotte, NC) do I buy some grass seeds to treat those muddy spots or just wait til it gets closer to spring/summer to see if any grass grows? I personally don’t recommend grass seeds for BermudaGrass, try sand in those bare spots in spring and summer. As soon as temps get a lil higher you can use this product on weeds. Works best in 60 degrees or higher. They do sell weed kill for lawns in other brands that work in 60 degrees or less.

How often can we use this product without hurting Bermuda grass? Can we add the surfactant that you recommended in another video (baby shampoo) to help it bond? You can spot spray wherever weeds pop up 🆙. I personally would not add a surfactant to this ready to spray formula.
I have this product and Scotts Liquid Weed & Feed...but they both hook up to garden hose. Tell me though, after Spectracide application when can I apply the Weed & Feed liquid?

I have a bermuda lawn here in Columbus, GA and use TruGreen. I have been able to convert this lawn to be mostly good, but I have patches and then a bigger section of Goose Grass. How do you get rid of this? Crabgrass and other weeds are gone and stay gone, but this Goose Grass is something else.

I recommend buying the roundup version of weed stop. The container comes with a batter operated sprayer with an extendable wand. After im done with the roundup, ill buy the spectracide brand and refill the roundup container plus 15ml of lazer blue dye. Works like a charm. Ive done squeeze trigger which left me with popeye forearms!

I don’t pull weeds, I just keep mowing and eventually the weed will breakdown.

You can apply pre M 2-3 times a season. Spray this product whenever you see a weed if spot spraying

Inexpensive then use the one in this video but you probably need multiple treatments. Wanna spend some 💰 then try tenacity ( warning ⚠️, don’t apply tenacity to actively growing BermudaGrass )
What do you suggest for mature crabgrass? Ive got granddaddy crabgrass clumps and generations of there families thriving in this lawn
Sprayed Image and killed the nut grass but it didnt phase the crabgrass. I figure it will take several seasons but what next. Crabgrass is driving me crazy in OKC!

Nathan Schaper if treating entire lawn with hose end version twice a year. With this version when every you see a weed or weeds popping up if you are just spot spraying ( allow it time to kill weeds before respraying though ) read directions before use also.

BYD, I have Cheeseweed Mallow all over the back yard. What can I spray on it? Do I cut it down before spraying? Some are 3 ft tall. 😂
I used this product and I have NOT seen any difference. The weeds are still there mixed with the grass. I did spry my lawn very good with the product. Yesterday after I cut it. It looks the same. Is there something I’m missing ?

Blue Grass Diggers is this Bermudagrass? If so you should be cutting 1 inch or lower. If you guy at a lower high and twice a week, in time they’ll subside. A liquid weed and feed may be needed also.

I have chickens and ducks In my backyard.I want to put down weed stop spray on the 5000 ft area.I thought maybe put it down in the evening after chickens and duck roost,leaving about 7 hours before they would be back on lawn…will the chickens be okay
I don’t know the answer to that 🤷🏾♂️. But I wouldn’t put herbicides where live stocks resides or feeds from the land.
