I used to say that but he studies nba films and the way the nba is played (where everyone so skilled and just gets pure buckets) makes it hard to translate in games. But good for 1v1

Ohhhh this IQ had me messed up but I get it now!! We learn to attack the hips but when the defender turns their hips to keep up with you/cut you off then you BTB!!

Yo if i do this far from hoop, can i just shoot after the move, without dribbling?
ive been using this move since 2020 and trust me i have dropped so many defenders
Is it more effective than spin move? Seems like BTB and spin move are both good moves for changing directions that works even with contact. I happened to practice first spin move and trying to incorporate it in my game, but should I master BTB before spin move? Because i find spin move enough most of the time in these kind of situations. Need your opinions guys
Both are really important. The spin move is used when you want to change directions close to the basket, around/inside the FT line. BTB is used anywhere else on the court.
If you're close to the basket - spin.
If you're far away from the basket - BTB.
@Coach Frikki thanks. I havent considered that before. Im always driving from midrange and im always near the rim before a defender cut me thats why spin move is always effective. Tahnks again, will try to practice BTB slowly.

Yeah Booker needed to counter early to the left there. Or at least snatch back after getting bumped. Jrue is so damn quick laterally. Prolly should have shot the three instead of driving to begin with.

Thanks. The point of the IQ test isn't necessarily that there are right/wrong answers. It's just to get watchers making decisions like they do on the court.

That's a good one too. Got a few good clips of it, gonna use them for a video on counters in general.
You can't use it as often because you need more space for it. If the defensive player is on your side you can only go BTB not BTL.

Coach, when i play defense my coach always tell me to keep my hands up just because I'm tall. Like I don't understand. As you said in the defense tips videos i should always go for the ball but he doesn't let me lower my hand
Have seen this situation a lot actually. Coaches telling their taller players to keep their hands up. But keeping them up actually makes you slow and un-athletic. There are times to keep them up (when they've picked up their dribble). But guarding a player who still has his dribble w/ your hands up is crazy.
Talk to your coach. Tell them you are quicker and better w/ your hands lower. Show him video examples of taller defenders w/ hands low. Ask him if he wants you to be quick or slow? If he doesn't allow you to play your best defense you should find a new team. Or just let your man go by you again and again and see what coach thinks about that.

@@adanbiltagi6717 You're probably not using it at the correct time. Keep going the same direction unless he cuts you off. Play more 1v1 and get more reps to make it better.

Is the BTB a wrap or a regular?
Shumpert kind of wrapped it in the 1st clip. But most of the clips were not wraps.

@@kyleng7557 I think the wrap works better than a regular when there is no help defense nearby, Imo, its because a wrap will help me get past him a little easier without the risk of the help getting a steal on me
