Welcome to Bloodywood!! I love seeing people react to them for the first time because the general consensus is shock and awe. No one sees it coming, no one really knows why it works, but once you've heard it, minds are blown and there's no denying their music is addictive!
But, these guys are the whole package... not only are they genuinely great musicians and performers, they are good humans, too. They legitimately invest their resources into so many good social causes, and encourage their fans to participate as well.
Believe it or not, these guys are still completely independent - no label! Someday, perhaps they will have to sign, but for now, their Patreon supporters are doing their job.
I'm gonna link a few more tracks from them below for you to enjoy. Bloodywood's mysic exists on a spectrum so some of their songs sound much more traditional than others. They are musicians that aren't afraid to experiment with their music. They started out by making heavy metal parody covers of pop songs and have been defining and refining their sound ever since. 🤘

    Ari, Ari - ruclips.net/video/i4FqGPRQWFM/видео.html
_(this is the song that launched them in India)_

Bloodywood is an "Indian folk metal" band from New Delhi, India with the 3 main members being :
    Karin - guitar/flute
    Jayant - Hindi/Punjabi harsh & clean vocals
    Rauol - English rap
There's guys are fantastic human beings & every song from this debut album, Rakshak, is 🔥! Plus, their live shows are the best!
They are in studio working on their 2nd album right now, so it's the perfect time to catch up!
I suggest Aaj next to experience more of their sound & then Dana Dan (turn on CC) to get your face ripped off 😆
Great reaction! Can't wait to join you for the next step in your Bloodywood journey!

As the band come from the New Delhi Metropolitan area in India
the name for the "indian drum thing" is a dhol.
It is in this case closely associated with Punjabi culture
and the folk music of that region which includes historically Delhi.
As a Sikh if I am at a wedding for example
I would expect to hear a dhol in the mix.

(plus lots of bad dad dancing LOL)
It can be very loud - this was during the pandemic when people came out to cheer the health workers

    Diablo Huma- Equador
    Hiddenland- Equador
    Cemican- Mexico
MiracleOfSound-Ireland (look up his songs Sirona, Grainn Mahoil and Tale of Cu Chullain)
Alestorm- Scotland (it's pirate metal but some people count it?)
    Tyr- Faroe Islands
    Percival- Poland/ Pan slavic
    Arkona-Russia

    Rune-Serbia
    Mägo de Oz-Spain
Po' Metra Crijeva- Croatia (the band name means half a meter of guts)
    Manntra-Croatia
Brkovi- Croatia (more of a punk band but look up their song "Ovce" a MAGICAL blend of rap, metal a, punk and folk influences)
Metaklapa- Croatia (This one is weird ... they do covers of metal songs in traditional Dalmatian singing style .. for example they did Aces high)
Dubioza Kolektiv- Bosnia & Hertzegovina (DO NOTE! This band is called a band with no genre for a reason! they varry from Regge R&B To Folk-Metal-Punk ... compare their "Space song" and "No escape from Balkans")
    Arka'n Asrafokor- TOGO
(also worth of note is Skinflint from Botswana but they don't ussualy have much folk elements)
Al-Namrood- Saudi Arabia (They played metal when it was punishable by death... IT DON'T GET MORE HARDCORE THAN THAT!)
Hassak- Kazakhstan (it's an ethno band but listen to their song Amanat and tell me it don't belong on a metal concert)

    DreamSpirit- China
    Wagakki band- Japan
    Nini music- Taiwan

You’re in luck - they’re far enough along on the next album to have given their Patreon (they’re 100% Indy) a couple of sneak peeks. You should be in a good spot to enjoy some of the back catalog and jump straight into new

2:01 every indian things are not bollywood. only hindi language industry is called bollywood. there are numerous industries in india. so dont try to mix everything with bollywood. we dont take that shit.
