I've seen Bloodywood live, and yeah. Good luck staying still from the first note. There were people around me who never heard of them and within 30 seconds they were all moving. If you get the chance they are must see live
They finished recording their 2nd album in June; we're just waiting to find out when we get to hear it. They are an independent band, so they have to do it all themselves. They do talk about problems with Indian politics and society; the themes are pretty universal, though India tends to have it worse than most countries.
They have the same problems in India but they solve it or try to solve it. The Indian people, not the politicians! Western politicians do not solve problem , they give them a name and that's it. I love India and I'm lookin' foreward to go there for the 8. time on jan. 2025 for half a year.
OMG, it's nice to meet someone else who has to talk to themselves in order to clarify their thoughts. One of the reasons I love to write is that no else has to be subjected to my internal my word salad. LOL Anyway, glad to see you revisiting Bloodywood!! 🤘
by politically neutral they mean this song doesnt attack the left or right specifically nor is it aimed at specific individuals. it aims at the entire nation and its politics
the musical instrument you ask about at the beginning is called a tumbi- a single stringed folk instrument very vital to punjabi folk songs from which bloodywood takes the folk inspiration from them being from north india and punjabi (karan absolutely, not sure about jayant but that's not very important)
The entirety of their catalog is fantastic. The band is very justice oriented. Jee Veerey talks about mental health. Yaad is about dogs. They all have awesome messages. The we we are neutral honest is a bit sarcastic.
It's a nice change of pace to hear someone being referred to as a "gentleman" instead of the ubiquitous (and somewhat annoying) "guy" or worse yet - "dude" Great reaction! 😊 Edit: How could I forget the worst one - "broooo"
I just want to say that I found again that short reaction to Before I Forget of Slipknot and was delighted to see those around 900 000 views. It's never bad for a short reaction to reach 1 million views.
🤘🏻🔥🤘🏻🔥🤘🏻🔥 Try Yaad next and watch the message at the end. Another great one is Jee Veerey. Karan Katiyar - guitars, flute, production, composition Jayant Bhadula - vocals, growls Raoul Kerr - rap vocals
You absolutely have to watch Raoul’s collaboration with Archy Jay (AKA The Snake Charmer) on Irish Punjabi Party-A new way forward. If you’ve not seen her before I won’t spoil the surprise when you see what she’s playing!!!
The closest resemblance you can find to this kind of singing of Jayant is of M Shadows from Avenged sevenfold. It's very similar actually. When they're not full on screaming or growling but have that gritty singing voice
Oh if you are entering Indian rock scene - you are in for a huge treat! Want to hear south Indian prog metal? Listen to Agam (Rangapura Vihara), then pentagram, then Mohiner Ghora guli (Indian Pink Floyd like I call them), Fossils (mostly all songs) many many many more bands - it's all Indian and all different language!
I think Bloodywood do lean towards the left, as do I, but this song is actually quite politically neutral. They're calling out BS and corruption and people who use fear and hate to gain power. Those who are there to serve themselves rather than other people. Whatever side of the political spectrum you're on we should all agree that such people are not good for democracy. And yeah, writing this it's hard not to think of that guy. I won't say his name. I remain politically neutral. Honest!

Jayant does sound like that live. Brilliant voice. As others have said, the new album is on the way, and it's said to be heavier. I can't wait.
Gaddaar is probably in my top 5 favorite metal songs. Everything in this song goes unbelievably hard.

"I don't need no gun, I bring the fire and the fury of the third world SON!" Is always such a hard line that
1:37 the head shake was meditative bliss

Yes Bloodywood!!!! They’re so good.
That line "Fake sh** WWE" is gonna pull on millions of fans' hearts a little bit, not gonna lie. 🤣

AAJ also about mental health, my favorite by them, but all their songs are great.
Yaad is about much more than dogs, it's about companionship, unquestionable compassion, and undying love.
And then there's Dana Dan...
That's so freakin' cool that it is now part of my playlist. 😂👍🏻 Thanks!

Who will translate for her the intellectualism of Mohiner Ghoraguli written in the 70s? I haven't found anything yet.
