    it may take a new CEO & board of directors to restore the public confidence in ford.i doubt its ever been lower.the overflowing sales lots would seem prove it.its a shame what they done to henry's dream.

      I agree with some of that comments. Faey is working to try and fix it. It still is the number 1 selling brand. These insane prices don't help. Ford lots here aren't full. They sell like hot cakes. Three chevy dealer 1 dodge and 1 jeep dealership are full of new cars. But again. These insanely high prices don't help

    My 2020 f350 had a new fuel filter Crack 4 blocks from dealer. Diesel sprayed all over engine, dealer sent mechanic out, replaced it, took truck back and attempted to wash engine bay. Put in an HSM filter, ran through a car wash several times to clean diesel fuel odor out. One of the best investments made to my truck including a cat fuel filer on bed rail. Figured I was lucky it happened close to the dealer as opposed to being on the freeway, probably would have caught on fire due to the massive amount of diesel fuel that was spraying on the engine. Had just watched a video of Arod putting on an HSM, glad I did.

      Yeah it comes out of that filter at about 60 psi. Maybe a little more. You got lucky! HSM is a great upgrade.

    I want to replace mine I have a 2024 F350 ( I know not what years your are stating ) but I have been told if I touch any of the stuff like this or oil filters it will void my extended warranty... Just don't know what to do.

    • @BeardedFordTech
      @BeardedFordTech  4 месяца назад +1

      That won't void your warranty. In order for a warranty to be voided something has to fail and has to be proven it was from a part you put on. Changing to a different oil filter or putting on a better fuel filter shouldn't void your warranty. Someone lied to you to keep you coming back to the dealer. I felt with this a lot. I had better things to do than say a fuel system failed because of a better upgraded fuel filter. That's just nonsense. My job is to fix it and get it back to the customer. Oil Filter why would that void it. That's like saying you can't change your own oil. It's good practice to keep maintenance record of when you do oil changes filter cha get and the mileage. Keep all receipts if you take it somewhere else. If the engine fails they will want service records and if you don't have them then yes warranty gone. I hate it when dealers scare customers telling them they can't do things cause it will void the warranty. Example. Say you put DEF in your fuel. Well at that point the fuel system will fail. Was it caused by an upgraded filter no. Will warranty be voided? Yes because you put def in the system. Now if it happen to just crap out and the cp4 failed. Covered under warranty? Should be whether you have an upgraded filter or not. The filter wasn't the problem. The fuel pump was. Feel free to email me if you have any questions.

    Ill take my chances with the plastic. Its already enough trouble with fuel pump shooting rusted metal for $12k damage, I dont need another source of metal potentially in the system. I will say this I bought my 22 last year, it had 40k miles on it. One of the service notes in ford pass said fuel leak "checked". I was like hmmmmm.

    • @BeardedFordTech
      @BeardedFordTech  4 месяца назад +2

      Fuel pump shooting rusted metal? You talking about the cp4? Shouldn't be any rust at all. That's a sign of moisture. If it's shooting metal then it's done. Get a DCR. I've been putting them in the fleet vehicles. I've never seen that in ford pass. I'll have to look into that. That is a head scratcher.

    Question: The HSM replacement you guys are advising...The filter is contained in a metal container. If moisture ever makes it way up there is can create rust. S&S Diesel showed where a FASS fuel filter created rust and sent it through the system due to the metal container that houses the filter. Plastic isn't junk it's way better as far as rust is concerned. My question is how do you feel about the experience S&S diesel had and their advice to keep the stock fuel filtration. The billet filter housing on the HSM replacement is great but the steel canister fuel filter seems potentially problematic.

    • @BeardedFordTech
      @BeardedFordTech  4 месяца назад +2

      I love S&S. I haven't come across any rust from moisture on any i have installed. If someone has rust up there then it probably already has moisture in it like water in the tank. They tore apart their DCR to check weer on it and noticed they had injested water. That's how they found out they had water in the tank. That's kind of like saying that moisture in the crankcase would make the oil filter rust. I'm not saying it doesn't happen on the fuel filter. But I'm assuming they already has water that created the rust. I mean look at big Ole 18 wheelers. They use metal fuel filters. Only time I came across rust on them was if they already had water in the tank and never changed the fuel water separator until it was too late. I'm going to have to do more digging on this. Thank you for bringing that up!

    • @pat9125
      @pat9125 4 месяца назад

      @@BeardedFordTech Looking forward to what you determine. With the S&S example they said the guy had changed fuel filters within a couple months and that the bad fuel he got was probably within 2-4 weeks. The guy lelt his truck sitting for about a week while on vacation. Big rigs don't sit very often and probably have fewer chances of getting bad fuel as they use mostly truck stop fuel. The rest of us can't always do that. Water in the oil is mainly through condensation which is different than bio fuel or having water pumped into it from a bad tank at the station. S&S pointed out that is wasn't only the metal canister but also the metal support of the filter itself that produced the rust. Ford was smart to use plastic in the fuel filter setup but obviously messed up the upper canister. Curiousi if the recall stopping at 2021 means they've fixed it or if they just haven't had reports on the newer ones.

    I'm just curious if you know what changed for 2022 model 6.7
    I'm leaving everything stock until the warranty is up
    I also brought my 22 bronco sport in after I got letter from ford on fuel injector issue and the dealer said it was fine
    Either way I have fire 🔥 coverage on both . Lol

    • @BeardedFordTech
      @BeardedFordTech  4 месяца назад +2

      No idea what changed. Possibly changed filter manufacturers? I did anvideo on the injector recall. We just install a tube for it to drain to the ground. Not a fix. If one is cracked we replace that injector. But it's the same kind we took out. The tube just keeps fuel from going on over hot areas reducing the risk of fire. I put that video link in pinned comments. It's good you have fire protection 😁
