      Shoebill Stork is bird and half seal and half dog ? Shoebill Stork still friendly sometimes wild if they bother big bird little afraid, and Birds has big mouth look like 🦕 only eat fish, snakes? baby alligators and more.

      It will if it has its way. They kill off their own babies by forcing them to fight each other for survival. It’s their own dang fault for being crappy parents. Why can’t they just raise all the chicks like normal birds?

      @@RBZ-1 I was trying to clearly state that bowing down to A BIRDS LEVEL was not a show of worship, rather just getting g to birds eye level. You have got to admit that saying the word "bow" is in line with "taking a knee" and therefore I would get a response like "oh look, she "worships" a bird.

    When you are welcomed by this bird, you are also a friend. They will allow you to visit their nest and see their babies. It’s quite amazing.

      To me they don't quite look real, abit like a puppet or something. As I'm learning about them, despite their scary look, they seem relatively friendly and the fact that you have to bow to them to be accepted is kind of cute.

    If they are really down to only 14 of these amazing birds, it might be in their best interest to have a professional group of animal lovers to give those remaining birds a place to mate and raise the actual numbers of these gorgeous angels so that future populations can enjoy their presence! ❤

      It will take awhile for the population to grow also unfortunately. If I remember correctly, they will only raise 1 at a time and they pick their favorite and let nature take the other. At least if they bred in captivity more or less, humans can raise the one kicked out. 😢

      Because they're too trusting of people. I'm sure people feared these birds too without knowing anything about them and basically killed them off. It's disgusting. Many people believe everything on Earth is theirs to own and rights too even if it's another life.

      It's honestly so surreal, it's freaking me out. I think it's because we've only ever seen anything remotely dinosaurian in the form of CGI, animatronics, art etc., so when we see something real that looks dinosaurian, it looks fake and uncanny because that's how we've been conditioned.

    The Shoebill stork is my favorite bird. So intriguing! I'm glad they are trying to save them from awful loggers and those who want progress!! Makes my blood boil at how many animals are encroached up in Canada too!

    Shoebills are the sweetest cutest birds I have ever seen ❤ 💙 💜 💖 I love the way they demand respect wen meeting one.i 🙏 the world stands together and protects these amazing bird beings .Uganda is rich in having these birds grace there wetlands. So lucky they are .

    I mostly like shoebill storks for being the most polite bird there is. They'll greet you with a bow and some applause and cheerfully return the courtesy to anyone who does the same to them as well.

    Magnificent birds and I've been lucky enough to see these birds in the wild in Uganda several times. It sad to hear, like so many animal species, that their habitat and numbers are in decline. Unfortunately we humans are slowly but surely destroying the planet and everything good in it.

    Hmm. I've watched nature vid's my whole life= never seen this. I thought it was some animatronic joke, at first. CRAZY. What a unique sound they make too. Thanks for showing me this. I literally think I've seen almost all animals on earth and this one not only haven't I, but it's huge. It's not like some ant species I've never heard of.
