Don't know which is scarier, the fact that you could barely see the falcon attack, or the fact that the falcon can still pull up from nosedive that fast and not become red paste on the sidewalk.
Neither. The scariest part is the duck is going to be eaten alive, and just imagine what it feels like to have bits of flesh pulled off by a pair of small tongs.
@@evilsharkey8954 oh, no no no friend - the duck is most definitely dead. With one balled up foot-punch the duck either literally got its brains scrambled or its neck broken. Either way he was in Duck Hell before the falcon even started saying grace. (If you're wondering why I said that its because there is no Duck Heaven and if you're wondering why I said *that* you probably shouldn't for your mental health.)
I actually got to see a condor in the wild(I’ve also seen some in my local aviary). Until you see one, you underestimate how big it is. Even so high up, they are HUGE

Fun fact: Shoebill storks are insanely popular in Japan because of the natural bowing. So much so that the birds you fly on in Zelda: Skyward Sword were based on them
That point at 8:27, where he says "if you know, you know..." For those of us who don't, he's referring to a event that happened in the early 2000s, where a man spent (I believe) eight years in jail for the murder of his wife. The stairwell pictured is where her body was found. The wounds were found to have Micro feathers in them, a feature common to owls legs. It was later posited by several doctors that the woman was in fact struck in the head from behind by an owl. If you've ever seen the talons on a great horned owl, you'll know why she didn't survive. This is the most well-known example of owls attacking people, but there are other instances recorded, mostly because those people inadvertently strayed too close to their nesting sites. Owls are exceedingly territorial, and will take it personally if you get what they consider to be "too close".
Thanks for explaining, I had a hunch that it was this story but I wasn’t sure. Poor guy. His wife was killed, he was deemed a murderer and probably lost a lot of friends, his job, etc., he lost many years sitting in prison, all for something he didn’t even do. I always felt sorry for him.

@@lepurpleboi3266 that reminds me of the one video. Basically a person was filming and trying to take a picture of their chihuahua. Then the chihuahua bit the persons face, later they smiled and acted adorable for the video. Never ever underestimate a chihuahua
One more fact about owls: While the specialized feathers of owls allow for silent flight owls pay for this feature by sacrificing waterproofing. Owl feathers are not waterproof meaning that if an owl gets wet the feathers absorb the water. And this can make the owl so heavy that it temporarily loses the ability to fly.
@@aidanmatthewgalea7761 Well it's not like owls pose any kind of serious threat to humans. But yeah, pretty much. If you managed to douse an owl with water mid flight it would most likely crash.
@@aidanmatthewgalea7761 If the circumstances are right anything can kill or cripple pretty much anything else. Yes, there have been cases where people died from owls. But there also have been cases where people died from mice. Owls are pretty much harmless to humans. Or at the very least harmless enough to not require us to carry around a bucket of water everywhere we go to defend ourselves from a possible owl attack.

Barn owls around my area screech once in a while at night. Like, "I'm out hunting. You've been warned!" I read about the Harpy Eagle in the '70s. The destruction of their environment is sad. They are truly magnificent creatures. Love your flow. Subbing.
Mood. [:')] What I really do hate though, is that they're all the more capable of defending themselves. Other than that, they can fly and usually they do so in incredible speeds. Like shit, the things I'd do to not get late for school and scolded. Well, when there were physical classes.
In defence of owls, they also get bullied by literally everything. Since they're very effective hunters, other birds try to make them leave their hunting ground by harassing the owls daytime sleep. Owls have to pick a sleeping spot very carefully if they don't want ravens, crows, hawks and eagles ganging up ou them while they rest.

Accurate
That point at 8:27, where he says "if you know, you know..."
For those of us who don't, he's referring to a event that happened in the early 2000s, where a man spent (I believe) eight years in jail for the murder of his wife.

One word: Cassowary.
One more fact about owls:
While the specialized feathers of owls allow for silent flight owls pay for this feature by sacrificing waterproofing. Owl feathers are not waterproof meaning that if an owl gets wet the feathers absorb the water. And this can make the owl so heavy that it temporarily loses the ability to fly.
so to be safe we just need a bucket of water?
