    When applying Anaconda, the attacker goes "HISSSSSSSSSSS!", like a snek, whereas in D'arce there's no hissing. Next question!

    Ive never heard anyone else say this, but i always remember it as An"neck"conda, as the choking hand enters at the neck, and DARce enters under the ARmpit.. im dumb so it helps me remember🤷‍♂️

    Regarding the Anaconda Choke: I usually grab my bicep before I gator roll and then cinch the choke tight, but I can see how using the Gable grip before rolling and then grabbing the bicep to cinch is better. Your way gives more leverage to force the roll. Thanks for posting this.

    I always struggle to recall which is which, but I've had success by telling myself that an anaconda always goes for the neck 1st.
    I really appreciate your combo of demonstration & explanation. Individually they may not be any better or worse than any other's on RUclips, but for whatever reason the way they flow together make a very solid impression on me & come of really strong. Thank you!

    • @KnightJiuJitsu
      @KnightJiuJitsu  Год назад +1

      @@DJayDiamond - the guillotine, especially the 10-finger, is another potential option, as are the Peruvian necktie and some others. It depends on the defensive response of the person on bottom and it’s usually a good idea to have multiple tools to use in combination to increase the chance of success.

    What does the leg assist do at the end of the anaconda?

    • @KnightJiuJitsu
      @KnightJiuJitsu  Год назад +3

      Sometimes the person in the choke is able to still flare the trapped arm, thereby opening enough space to resist the choke. The leg reinforces the arm configuration and prevents the person from flaring their arm.
