Turns out I got the brake bias clips mixed up. To move your brake bias backwards, you need to lower the brake bias option. To move it forward, you need to increase it. Sorry for any confusion.
Proper advice well spoken. Get used to the car first, then adjust. You cant adjust/tune anything if you don't already know what your current setup is doing, always true, and especially true the less experience you have. And you mentioned it at the very beginning, good looks.
As a guy who's been running on stock/pre-made tunes with almost no knowledge about tuning. This is very much appreciated man! Top quality content as usual
Hmm, I almost always run -2 camber on front and -1 on the rear, run very minimal toe out at front and minimal toe in on rear. Leave pretty much everything else stock. Have barely had any issues with most of my cars. Granted I'm not the fastest, and my cars are all under 200 HP. I drive very technical Touge so it works fine for me. Also, thank you so much for this! I'll tweak so much stuff now and fiddle with my cars. Regardless of the fact they're lower HP.
Don’t downplay yourself because of the low hp. If anything it’s making you a better driver purely because you have to commit with every input or you loose a lot of time
@@NIBBwit oh, no, please don't assume I'm commiting. I'm usually half throttling and shifting up and down between 2nd and 3rd gear for most Touge, hell on Fruits line I'm half throttle in 2nd for damn near everything except for the short open where I sometimes can get up to 4th before breaking and going back to half throttling in 2nd. I'm very much a slow driver.
@@NIBBwit like, right now my my fastest time on EK Tsukuba Real Outbound, real conditions and dusty track is 06:16.063 with a '83 spec, stock 12A, RX-7 FB. So, no, I'm really not a fast driver. (Side note I use that as my base cause I drive it and Nagao the most) Edit: to be honest I think part of my slowness might be my gear. I'm on an old Logitech Wingman that does have FFB, but I lost the adapter for it so it's just a non-FFB heavy ass 180° wheel now.
Big fan of the content doing really good work, I don’t know if you’ll see this or not but I need some suggestions for a beginners wheel and pedals. I play Assetto Corsa on the Xbox One and want a wheel to start out. Any input from the comments too would be much appreciated.
Focus on grip driving Learn your courses (racing line brake points …) I recommend using assists like traction control and abs do balance the abruptness of the controller inputs. For Setup there are multiple videos with suggestions. Overall using a controller for a sim is not the greatest thing in the world. if you can upgrade to a wheel. Even starter wheels like the ones from Logitech are great to learn.
Here's a tip from someone who use to be a controller peasant. Make sure your steering is the only thing mapped to one of your sticks, then push it forward all the way or pull it back, what ever is more comfortable. Use the edge to slowly add input. It helps a little with giving some precision to inputs. Not a huge difference mind you, but noticable if you do it right.
well, you and him could possibly have two completely different driving styles. what works for one person, might be another person’s kryptonite. i’d say to look on the public tune section, and for each tune you download, do a lap and find out which suits you the most, and adjust the tune according to the tips in this video.
I’m having this problem with a car…it’s not actually prone to oversteer at all but if you *do* manage to get the rear end to step out at all it’s impossible to catch it before it spins…any ideas?
In my experience, stiffening the anti roll bars, springs and dampening tends to make unruly cars a little easier to keep from going wild once traction breaks. Work in small incremental changes to see where it's comfortable for you.

i gotta ask, what mod manager do you use? and how do you use it?....i suck at modding
or is it literally just drag and drop like beamng and rigs of rods?

Glad to help!
Lol same 😂 i just get used to any car i downloaded
Never knew that the bump setting should always be lower than the rebound. Now everything feels a lot more natural like a real car. Thanks for this!
50-75% of rebound
Not really
I've been wanting to tune the stock 86 forever, thank you for this.
oh this is what i nead for tuning thank you!
Glad you found it helpful!
Man, I can't thank you enough for this!!
Awesome, I was hoping this topic would be one of the first ones you do. Great stuff as always!
Glad you liked it!
this is the greatest video for tuning a car without knowlege , just a simple input output! this video should have more views!!
I've only just found out about this channel and it's gold. Keep doing what you're doing, you're on track to big things.
I'm honestly confused on how you only have 13k subscribers you deserve way more
Thank you!
I used these settings in assoluto racing and it still worked!
Now this will help me a lot in Assoluto Racing, even though that game doesn't have so advanced tuning options.
All in a nutshell. Thank you. I'm new to Sim racing, but I've been learning since ACC.
Been looking for a simple video like this for a while, thanks bro
I waited for this video since how to do the gutter run and i apprecieate that you actually did this video i love the way your videos make sense.
Thanks! I never think they make sense while I'm editing them so it's good to hear
found this just now and all i can say is thank you for the great vid managed to shave off a whopping 19 seconds on akina downhill with a gt86
Holy jesus thank you so much, I watched this 4 days ago and I've been practicing and it helped so much!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I'll try using this guide after I've gotten better with stock cars. Thanks!
this is legendary. thanks.
I think increasing the brake bias gives more front braking? You would lock up if you have too much front bias like lewis Hamilton in Baku this year
Big moves, keep up with the videos
Everyone else: uses it in asseto corsa
Me: "tries" to use it in gt psp
But tbh even if im joking this actually helps me alot there
Thanks mate
this deserves follow
Fast and to the point! Love it! Cheers mate Subbed 👍

Me who played AC w controller, this info make me better
can you also make a video on how to tune a transmission thank you in advance, love your vids
ill use this to tune the Tuned86, i have aleready done a 4.28ish lap on the EK Akina map, maybe ill get better times if i tune it to perfection
Nice done
Works for all games❗
Does this work for most games? Mostly cause i play forza horizon 4/7

I'm really out here trying to play gtsport like ac lol
PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO FOR US CONTROLLER PEASANTS
New video: How to order a steering wheel
I'm terrible at controller so I don't think I'd be the best person to make tutorials on using them lmao

I would get a wheel if I could afford one
i always thought more percentage on brake bias means more braking on front
now I finally dont have to watch a setup vid for each car
what settings you would recommend for BMW m3 e30 for nordschleife tourist?

I have "bad chair" driving style
How much does Asseto tips transfer to forza horizon 5 with basic car knowledge (enough to what what all the car words mean)
hey man, what's the supra used in this video? is it the Ridox one from the SRP discord?
It's the Supra Time Attack that comes in the Japanese DLC
what is that pp filter?
Is it really better to play drifting using wheels?
yeah
It’s a difference like night and day
Depends on the wheel .. but generally yes.
why cant i tune suspension, doesnt work on japanese DLC mazda rx7
Those cars are trash. Can’t tune them
Can u give setting?
THX THX THX THX!!!!!!!!!!!!
what if my car snaps during weight transfer?
soften the rear end
good content but i dont have a driving style or maybe im just shit
What if my driving style is very slidy
then you sould soften the suspension for a more stable ride, stiffer suspension makes you slide
PS:I also have a very slidy driving style
I'm the 900th like bro!
Man I mainly drive near stock so aero tuning is not an option...
Maybe I'm the problem lmao
Does this work for forza as well?
Forza physics are different, but try it out,it might work for you
Best tune is driver mod
Gema nema ?
Hey do you permit me to translate your video to portuguese?
How do you mean? As in remake the videos or make subtitles?
