Billy must be THE best bass player for a guitarist to be in a band with. He's just so in the pocket it's insane.
Two strong players with strong tone showing some cool licks and syncopated runs. And Ritchie has a ridiculously good voice.
sheehan is like a killer rhythm guitarist and awesome bassist all in one.

Nothing quite like hearing two world-class musicians playing off each other with lockstep precision! Hearing the two of them harmonizing on that tapped riff was awesome!
These guys make Winery Dogs sound so much bigger than your average trio.

This makes me so happy. There's nothing better than when you just "click" with someone musically - it's brilliant to see how well they compliment each other.
I love to watch these two guys faces while they play. So much soul and emotion goes into their playing!!!

What's great about this band is that there's room for each member to do what they do best. They're not stepping on each other. And their abilities compliment each other, I think they'll settle like this - I can't see any of them leaving this arrangement now, I think it's what each of them has been looking for.

The experience and charisma that these two musicians have individually just increases the level of chemistry between them as band mates..it works so well it's inspiring.

Easily the best thing Billy has ever been involved with. His playing style is perfect for a 3 piece band.
These guys have such a love of music and are so compatible that they just flow. They are seriously in simpatico with each other. When Richie starts singing, for a second it reminds me of the opening lines to China Grove. They should do a cover of that song. Please? Would love it. But I understand they want to create their own music and expand their own creativity too.
God I wish they would get back together to release another album.

The chemistry in this band is rare and very special. The album is a new timeless classic - which will be played for a LOOOOONG time. When I went to see these guys in Pittsburgh a few months ago, I hadn't really heard too many of their tunes. But the next time they tour, I will be front row (again) singing each verse along with 'em. Winery Dogs rule!
Paul Gilbert & Billy Sheehan also have that kind of chemistry on the 2010 Mr Big record
And Marco Minnemann & Bryan Beller also have that kind of chemisty where they can Jam for hours and write whole Albums within 2-3 months

This proves that these guys can be stars and good people at the same time. Many times I would rather here this kind of informal playing than the produced tracks.

What a great experience to know how those two build up their craft .
Curiously, I did not have the opportunity to see Billy talk about his music in any video before this one and the gear talk on wich he explains everything about his rig. I am very impressed about how passionate the guy is about what he does. I mean, many bass players don' t even like to talk. But surely he is far from being quiet, by any standards!

Mr. Big and the David Lee Roth band are great bands with great musicians but they are not known for soul music. So there for hes not talking shit you just dont know soul.
imretarded97 Mr. Big's ballads sound pretty soulful to me. It's all a matter of opinion how much soul a song has. For example, I think Epitaph by Necrophaghist has a lot of soul

Absolutely love this musical partnership. Two great players. Killer drummer too. When I am sitting in my music room staring at the guitar I play these guys and after a couple of songs I'm back in the game..lol

A lot of it comes from Billy Sheehan's playing - he keeps the low end with the bass but kind of fills the void of a second guitar player with his guitar-esque bass lines.

I feel like I have been in a cave for 30 years. I knew the names but never seen Billy Sheehan like this. Whow. I did see him at Bassplayer Live, but it didn't hit me until now watching this incred video. Mostly because I thought at the time that he was just another gunslinger. Make more of these. Billy and Richie meet your latest fan!

Marvellous!!! I first of all saw Richie when I saw legendary bassist Mr. Stanley Clark at the old fruit market in Glasgow (wearing if I remember brown leather flares, soo cool) in a band called Vertu in 1999. Then 2005 Billy Sheehan at the Glasgow Royal Concert hall playing with Steve Vai!
