These small appliances only use 420 watts and are great for cooking in small spaces. They are great for RV cooking, van cooking, car cooking, dorm cooking, hotel room cooking, office cooking, etc. They are small, portable, and light weight so they are easy to travel with. They are also excellent prepping gear. Since they only use 420 watts and cook very fast, they can be easily run off of a generator or solar power station.

I bet you could make a little cake. Maybe make two and have a double layer mini-cake!
Update: Okay, I did it! I used a regular mug cake recipe, which doubled makes the exact amount needed for two layers. I cooked the cake for 8 minutes per layer. It turned out beautifully!
Wow! I use the mug cakes for different things like pancakes but now I’ll make a cake. The lemon cake and coffee cake are both really good. Thanks for the info.
Now I have to try it! Thanks for the tip.
First and foremost I love your video. I just bought my Dash Sandwich Cooker from Goodwill for $4.00 and honestly love just made myself a Bologna Swiss sandwich on Wheat. And I am so excited to make more. I bought a mini fridge from CVS for $50.00 and bought some food my mini fridge. And I am so excited to find a great videos like yours.
Thanks for watching!
That’s so awesome. I make my egg bites in this all the time and even bought a large cup to put in it to make a mini crustless quiche. I used to bring my dash appliances to work when I used to commute. But I still use them to cook out at home on a hot day when I don’t want to heat up the house to have a nice warm meal
As far as 'healthy' goes, a grilled cheese made without butter or oil is MUCH healthier, so no reason to disparage the lovely sandwich you made.
It has protein from the cheese, whole wheat bread would give it fiber, and actually pickles gives it probiotics. No, this is a great alternative to fast food AND IT'S FASTER!
Lovely!
👍
I have never seen anyone add pickle to a grilled cheese sandwich and it is amazing. Thank you for the cost breakdown, most people don't think of how much they can save by making it yourself.
Pickles with sharp cheddar is great. I love the bite maker for sandwiches and mini meals more than making egg bites.
You can cook a burger in this. Or fish, veggies... If your imagination is top notch, it'll be endless yummies.
I thought of fish myself. A nice piece of salmon or even a frozen breaded fillet would probably work.
I love the name of your channel and that you eat cheese and pickles. Cheese seem lonely without pickles.
I received the Dash for Christmas and just opened it. My first thought was that this may be perfect for grilled cheese sandwiches. Your video proved me right!! Thanks!
I just bought one of these for egg bites and was eyeing it wondering if I could use it for sandwiches, so thanks for the demo!
I use it all the time for so many things.
That’s so cool. I just bought one and I was like where’s the egg cups and then I remembered that i read before that they come out. lol but I wouldn’t have thought to do this. Now I can make a grilled cheese at work.
I couldn't tell on the website whether you could remove everything so that it would be a flat square griddle I'm glad I saw this because now, I have to have it 🤗💜
It makes a nice griddle. 👍
I usually like them plain, though I sometimes add pickle or chutney. I don't put any butter inside but I put a thin layer of mayo on the outside, makes them super brown and crispy
Yum, chutney…need to try that. Thanks.
i butter both sides and also add ham
I think I’m going to cook a slice of onion in butter and put that in my next sandwich 🤩
I’ve done that for years 😋
Another informative video. The possibilities of these Dash products are almost endless! Thanx! 👌
yes they are
Interesting. Never heard of pickles on a grilled cheese sandwich. I need to try that.
Try a tortilla pizza..sauce, toppings then close the lid check often it cooks quick
I sometimes dip my grilled cheese sandwich in ketchup for a tang but never thought of dill pickles. Good idea. I bet it tastes similar to pimiento cheese spread…thank you. Your videos always make me 🤤 drool.
👍😁
Have you tried that Dash for french toast? Grilled cheese = sharp cheddar and either a savory tomato/greens mix in there with maybe scallions on the cheese or a sweeter version with sliced pear/apple.
With french toast, it cooks the bottom nicely and then the bread needs to be flipped.
@@CounterCooking Store near me often has loaf of texas toast cut for $1, it works much better in eb maker. I made one yesterday. One egg mix + one texas toast. Also works better for grilled cheese in this.
Adding a slice of tomato is nice.
I use tin foil on the bottom of my dash egg bite maker to reduce cleanup in my minivan
Looks yummy, I'll have to try with pickles.
I'd prefer to sauute some mushrooms in the egg maker and/or some shallots or onion to adde to grilled cheese, but those need more cooking than the pickles would, so maybe not quite fitting w/ your soimple pickle solution for a slightly better flavor. option than just cheese.
You can add anything you want to a grilled cheese. Some of us don’t like mushrooms. 😝😁
Looks beautiful!
Awesome- I didn’t butter mine and it was great!
I have this machine! Smart idea!
Are you the lucky ferrel cats lady?
I need to use mine!
I was wondering if the Dash egg bite cooker could cook a sandwich. thank you
Makes a good ham and cheese also
Got it! Thank youuuu🤩
I was all in until the pickles arrived on the scene . Cool video regardless
That is Awesome. Yum Yum
Can you do this on the dash mini griddle?
you can but the bread doesn’t fit.
you would have to cut it into smaller pieces.
Yes... don't worry about the fit.. after it's done it's ez to trim.. I am able to press down the top with a potholder and remove the excess with the other potholder at the beginning of the cooking process.. just be careful
ty
Bologna or salami or ham or pastrami or fried hard eggs!
Anybody try cake? Cornbread? Biscuits?
here’s a link to all of my Egg Bite Maker videos.
Can you fry an egg in the egg bite maker? Love your videos, btw.
yes.
I have the Dash Express 8" round griddle, as far as for toasting a sandwich wouldn't that work just as well as the egg bite maker?
Yes it should. It might actually work better since it is not as deep and runs a little hotter
How long did it take to cook?
if you watch the video, it says 4 minutes. 2 + 2 = 4
Mayonnaise instead of butter on the outside of the bread...
Please avoid toxic seed oils…
Like a electric frying pan. Have you made a burger in it
No, but I’m sure it would work just as well as the Dash Mini Griddle.
@@CounterCooking I order grill of Amazon but canceled after saw this egg bite. Came yesterday and used to cook Walmart Angus burgers which are quarter lbs each. Took 15 minutes to cook over 170+ degrees. Didn't brown but definitely cooked nice and juice and no shrinking. I'm happy
@@kinglord5429 Thx for sharing the details.
So exactly why is this considered an egg bite maker?? It just looks like a griddle to me. 🤔
It comes with little egg bite cups.
@@CounterCooking Oh, OK. That explains it. The mystery is solved. Thank you.
