thank you so much for this track!! i get to sing it for my final with a classmate of mine in a few months! It is absolutely perfect thank you so much and never stop doing what you’re doing because you are literally the backbone of college students in MT programs everywhere 💖
I will be performing this duet tomorrow in my voice class, and I would like to thank you for this clean backing track. It sounds absolutely perfect. :) You have helped a bunch!
I'm still trying to fully understand the music JRB created. All I know is his piano parts are some of the more difficult vocal pieces out there. Thanks for watching!
LEO I will never understand What I did to deserve you, Or how to be the man That I'm supposed to be. I will never understand If I live a thousand lifetimes Why you did the things you did for me. Just look at you - How could I not be in love with you? What kind of fool could have taken you For granted for so long? All the wasted time, All the million hours, Pushing you away, Building up my walls; All the days gone by To glare, to pout, to push you out, And I never knew anything at all I never knew anything at all. LUCILLE I will never understand How all the world misjudged you When I have always known How lucky I must be. I will never understand How I kept from going crazy Just waiting there till you came home to me. Now look at me Now that you're finally here with me - Now that I know I was right to wait And everyone else was so wrong For so long All the wasted time LEO All the wasted time LUCILLE All the million hours. Years on top of years Still too proud to crawl - All the days gone by To feel that I don't satisfy And I never knew anything at all I never knew anything at all LEO All the wasted time LUCILLE All the wasted time LEO All the million hours. BOTH Leaves too high to touch, Roots too strong to fall. All the days gone by To never show I loved you so And I never knew anything at all. LEO I never knew anything At all
@spyderjosh it is a transition if i remember correctly into the next scene...either there is music under it or it stops...it's been a while since i played that musical, but it's the climax! haha you did a fantastic job! I love this song, and you were awesome. Also, this composer is crazy and awesome! I thought the cake walk earlier in the musical in 2 diff. keys was a little nuts, but it fit, and it gave me a weird feeling. you're awesome!
Thanks so much for this!! I'm trying to learn this song, but whenever I try to sing it without the vocals, I mess up. Thanks for doing this so we have something to sing with, without the vocals.
your not the first person to tell me this. I think I learned it based on the version I heard on the Rosie show which is what inspired me to learn it. I've still never seen the show but would really like to.
Do you have this recording available for download? It's REALLY good, and I've been looking for a solid traditional piano karaoke track for a performance I'm doing.
spyderjosh, thanks so much for posting this! I can't post a link in a comment, but I used your accompaniment (and gave you credit) for a cutting of the song I posted on my channel. I've made it unlisted, so if you want to see it PM me or email me at cheekandbluster at g mail dot com.

Thank you for this instrumental backing track. It really helps me understand the music JRB as created.

Thank you for posting this, it is incredibly helpful to have as a resource!
Always happy to hear folks find my videos useful.
@divashaf16 My pleasure. I love to learn and play JRB songs. I think they are some of the most melodic showtunes out there.
Thanks so much for this!! I'm trying to learn this song, but whenever I try to sing it without the vocals, I mess up. Thanks for doing this so we have something to sing with, without the vocals.
Very nice
It *does* kinda need two parts... I figure (and hope) it's better to have my voice with yours than none at all! I so enjoyed joining both of you!
This is really good.. Thank you!
Used your vid to back a song on Twitch! Thanksssss
Hey that's awesome! Not sure i've ever been on twitch :)
Could you consider doing How can I call this home?? PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely beautiful! However, and this is just nitpicking, but I would have loved to see the song go all the way through the ending.

@@spyderjosh So sorry. The ending is just so beautiful. You did such a great job, though!
This is amaaaaaaaaaaazing aahhh so pretty!!!
@Amanda42716 My apologies. I thought it was a logical place to end but I did notice the music kept going. Perhaps a transition into the next song?
Oh my gosh- this is so good!! Do you have sheet music to share??
